Meg makes it an enjoyable show
Meg brings out the best in the guests. She is articulate , funny and insightful. Combined with a consistent group of guests it make this show a must listen

    All time great
Pod was great with Carson and continues to be great with Meg. I love getting to hear from the site’s great writers about all things baseball (and not baseball). It’s more fun this way.

    Ummm...
This is a boring podcast that gets off-optic almost immediately. The host(s) need some energy. I listen the the KBO podcast and they talked about everything except for the KBO. Disappointing l. I as eager to learn.

    Is this a joke?
Podcast is unlistenable. Not funny, not informative, not interesting - Just a waste of time. Unsubscribing now.

    Yikes
    I hadn’t listened in a while. I didn’t realize Carson Cistulli wasn’t the host anymore. I wasn’t missing much I guess.

    Carson for president
Cistulli is the guy. No other podcast host like him. A gem.

I for one am going to miss Dave Cameron’s mouth breathing 😉😢 Great pod. Great analogies.

    Cistulli is a Gift
A show unlike any other. A gift to humanity. A revelation. A dream come true. Baseball is also sometimes discussed.

    Follow along on Google Maps
The monthly Dayn Perry appearances are the most useful source out there for a new parent or homeowner to-be. Baseball analysis and discuss is also nice, I suppose.

    Thanks!
    Great podcast

    Interesting
I could listen to Carson talk about anything, which is good because it would be generous to call this a baseball podcast.

    Yuck
This show is garbage. No interesting facts, reporting, and no entertainment value whatsoever. The banter is so boring I didn't finish the podcast.

    Fantastic
Great podcast. Great host. Great guest.

    Essential
With Cistulli at the helm, it's a different, welcome take on the latest baseball news.

    Podcast Power Hour
Dave Cameron offers excellent insight into thinking about baseball sabermetrics and baseball economics. Carson Cistulli offers an appropriate dose of self-loathing and humor. Dayn Perry is, simply put, the best thing in baseball podcasting.

It gets better the farther it gets from baseball
The Dayn Perry episodes enrich human existence to its fullest.

Brain fuddled, he dropped into coffin for brief nap
The above text was a headline featured in an edition of North Carolina's Greensboro Daily News on December 7, 1905 and it adequately describes the contents of Carson Cistulli's audio program. Incidentally, I enjoy this show.

    Outstanding
The best baseball podcast, period. Bonus feature: The abhorrent Dayn Perry once a month! Seriously, the best podcast in my lineup.

    you'll learn to love it
Carson is a very interesting character. I wasn't sold on him at the first episode I listened to. But his awkward, dry wit grows on you and by episode five you will be singing the theme tune and laughing at carson's side comments. Love the baseball content and the personalities. Cant miss podcast.

    Great topics
I love the site and the podcast is a great discussion on relevant topics. Sometimes takes a little long to get there with and intro of banter. Still a good listen

    Carson is awesome
this is a 5 star podcast. the negative reviews are out of line. Carson is a great editor for the site and a great podcaster. his rotation of guests makes this feel like a late night talk show version of a baseball podcast. sometimes they'll talk baseball, sometimes they won't. who cares. Carson is very entertaining.

    Practical Analytics
Love the show, have for two years, but was disappointed this week to find that practical analytics had been moved to the back. Not the end of the world, still the best baseball podcast there is, and there's not really a contest. I say this as a slightly above average replacement level fan, i.e., can basically read the recent pieces on BABIP but I don't know what a standard deviation is and have failed four times trying to figure out how OPS is calculated and what it really means. This show has also been instrumental in raising my baseball IQ, and keeping me a fan (fangraphs gets more credit than Tom Hamilton but not as much as the fact that the Indians are just fun this year), so I'm not going anywhere but :-( about the change.

    Fantastic podcast about Romanian philosophers
Great podcast about the futility of existence and the writings of Hungarian philosopher Emil Cioran. Skip the episodes with Dave Cameron - they focus on some stupid sport. One of the best Cioran casts I've found. 5 stars!

    Awesome
Carson is the highlight for me. Doesn't need guests

If you’re interested in writing about baseball
Like the website from whence it springs, this podcast is very “inside baseball.” It is so in more than one sense. On the one hand, it does, from time to time, offer detailed analysis of baseball things. On the other hand, and more often, it offers musings and meanderings from baseball writers. If you are interested in that sort of thing, this is an excellent podcast. If you are not, well, I’m surprised you’re reading this. For what it’s worth, I’ve spent the past several years trying to avoid writing a dissertation. This podcast has been very helpful, in that it’s provided me with hours of diversion, and in that it’s provided me insight into the horrors of the writerly life. It has prodded me toward a more active lifestyle, which I hope will afford me greater security against lung chickens and similar maladies than would the cloistered life of a writer of things for the internet.

    Hail Carson
We all didn’t like our very first sip of whiskey or beer, but tough it out and you’ll be in AA in no time. My point being, Carson Cistulli is an acquired taste. Like Fangraphs, this podcast isn’t for the masses. This podcast isn’t really about baseball. It’s more about the insights of an introspective man traveling the world, yet living in quasi isolation. He’s so candid on the podcast, I feel like I know him better than my wife. Props to Appelman for keeping him on the air. Unfortunately, props don’t get the bills paid, but consider this a contribution to the audio arts.

    Carson Love
Come for the baseball nerddom, stay for the baseball nerd. By which I mean Carson Cistulli, the hilarious host of this show. On first listen, I thought, "who is this man, and why is he talking about city planning on a baseball podcast?" but then he said when he gets drunk he feels like "the funniest king" and won me over forever. Love ya Carson!

    Give it a shot

    Very little substance
I like the Fangraphs site, dislike the podcast. The guests are ok, Carson is not a very good host. The pretentiousness is thick and there are no differing opinions even for the sake of argument. Pretty much just a circle jerk.

    Beyond baseball podcast
Carson Cistulli isn't for everyone and he'll admit as much to you in the intro if he's having non-baseball chatter but I love this podcast. Even when it strays off baseball, I get something out of it.

    Best baseball podcast

    Great podcast
    Carson for life.

    Essential listening.
It is unthinkable to me to ever go more than a week without hearing an episode of Fangraphs Audio. I'm especially appreciative that Carson Cistulli and his frequent guests, Dave Cameron, Kiley McDaniel, and others keep it clean. Their baseball analysis (while insightful and engaging) is secondary to the welcome glimpse into the interpersonal dynamics between such an impressive group of thought leaders.

    Quality baseball talk
Quality baseball talk you'd expect from the Fangraphs folks.
  • AnjaValentine
    It's pretty good...
...most of the time, with a nice mix of guests, but I gotta say, Dave Cameron's vocal fry KILLS me. He needs to enunciate! Don't get me wrong--I like his appearances and he's always interesting, but at times his creaky voice makes me want to GOUGE my eyes out!! (Not really, but still.)
