    Brief history of Mathematics
This brief history of mathematics was well done. However, I would have liked it a little bit longer to get into the minds of these great mathematical minds. My daughter was excited about all these mathematicians. Are we going to hear from you about other mathematicians. Thank you very much indeed for the podcast. Robert

    Unbalanced
If this podcast were called “A selection of biographies of European mathematicians” I would not hesitate to give it five stars. Unfortunately it’s actual title is a poor fit for its Euro centric content. Even in the episode of Indian prodigy Ramanujan, the spotlight is clearly on Hardy, not on Ramanujan. Really?!

    Excellent & entertaining
Great podcast on the history of mathematics. Brief and not at all comprehensive yet informative and entertaining nonetheless.

    Eminently listenable
Not a series of math lectures, rather an examination of how modern maths came about and why it is as useful as it is.

    Excellent
beautiful little series - wish there was more

    Leonhard Euler is pronounced wrong!
Euler he got it right, but Leonhard wrong. Leonhard is the German form of Leonard, but h is not silent like in English. Since this is a history podcast with little knowledge of mathematics, I'm extremely disappointed by it.

    excellent
I eagerly listened to all available episodes and loved the series. History was well told and well produced.

    interesting but incomplete
Very good and eloquent episodes. My only issue is that to call something the History of Mathematics and to begin in the 17th sentury is a bit rediculous. It doesn't even acnouledge that anything happened before then.

    Math
This series is great!!! I never enjoyed mathematics so much until I had the chance to enjoy this series and until I joined the Royal Society. I studied advanced mathematics in school but this series increased my understanding.

    Very interesting stuff
If you like numbers or history or anything in between the this should interest you. It's always fun to learn where stuff comes from and this tells you where our modern day uses of math come from. I only wish there was more to listen to...

    Great & inspiring
Professor Marcus du Sautoy does a great job bringing mathematics alive and presents the history of math and importance of each mathematician's contribution. Professor du Sautoy's enthusiasm on the subject is contagious. It is a great resource to everyone, even those with a passing interest or those who may have been turned off from mathematics long ago. The podcast helps to illustrate how each development in mathematics led to & made possible the technology we often take for granted today. I can say this reawakened the sense of wonder I have in mathematics.
