Terrific delivery of Cloud Concepts and Technical techniques.

    Phlegm and Swallowing
I am a regular. The content is good. I listen to almost every show. However, there have been times when I just could not listen to the whole show because the constant sounds of sniffing and swallowing and congestive sticky phlegm in my ears was so distracting and viscerally repulsive that I just couldn’t get past it. Please, I’m begging you, find a solution or strategy for this. I want to hear your perspective on the industry, but may own visceral response to these distracting noises is making it increasingly difficult for me to get through the show.

    Great Listen
I am just getting started on my cloud career and was recommended this podcast. It hasn’t been a disappointment in any ways. The information is relevant and presented in a way that the hosts clearly demonstrate the experience and acumen. I just finished the end of year wrap up and I was surprised that the hosts were thinking people would have not be tuned into the end of the show. I listened to the whole thing and was surprised when the show was concluding. I look forward to their shows for 2023

Update: Love the show. Two request!
Really really love the show It’s a mish mash of wonderful diversified topics that are not always engineering focused to it really is eye opening and very objective. you guys are awesome! One thing we don’t get enough of is awareness around the clouds that are not the big 3 (So hearing more around what Oracle, Alibaba, IBM etc… are doing). I just think that there is so much awareness lacking there and they definitely each have their strong suite so it would be awesome to hear more around how the rest of the competition (even if niche) is doing. I updated this review to add this odd request which I think is hilarious: when trying to start playing the podcast through assistants (particularly Amazon Alexa) the name “cloudcast” clashed with “podcast” and so Alexa keeps trying to give me general podcast recos when all I want is listen to the cloudcast haha. Just a thought (if it’s possible to configure this through Amazon Alexa’s libraries) to have a friendly name to voice invoke playing the cloudcast that doesn’t rhyme too much with “podcast”? (To test this out try saying “Alexa play the cloudcast” or “Alexa play the cloudcast from [Apple Podcasts]” Cheers!

    Engaging and well researched
I listen to a few tech podcasts. These guys consistently knock it out of the park. They are very knowledgeable but unlike some other tech podcasts they don’t get lost in rabbit holes. The show is brisk and information dense but accessible at the same time. Check this podcast out if you are working with cloud computing technology or want to start. You will learn something and get perspectives you might not have already.

    Long-time listener finally reviews
I’ve enjoyed the Cloudcast for 7+ years now (can’t believe it’s been that long) starting back in the Openstack glory days. This is one of the OG cloud podcasts. You simply can’t go wrong with this one. It’s Easy Listening...Brian and crew do a great job. I liked it so much I even followed Brian to Red Hat a few months ago :) (ok, I came for other reasons but that was a bonus).

    Always Good, Tpopical and Succinct
Cloudcast always has useful and informative episodes for a survey of what is going on in cloud related subjects. It is recorded and edited with an eye on professionalism and does not just fill time with blather. If you have linited time to listen to podcasts on tech/cloud related subjects this is a good one to add to your list.

    Google Cloud 2018
I’m a first-time listener. I just finished the 2017 Recap/2017 Prediction episode from 12/26/17. Towards the end, there was a quick discussion on Google Cloud and efforts they may/should make in 2018 if they’re going to appeal to the Enterprise. I’m a Tech Recruiter, and I interviewed recently with the GC team. I’d love to share some detail around this topic, but I can tell you that GC was hiring a team of recruiters for Product-focused and Sales Engineer-focused hiring initiatives. By “initiatives,” I mean that they have goals in the hundreds, globally for selling GCP (Google Cloud Platform) with specific target markets, including heavy Asia-focus. These efforts were Q4 2017 - Q2 2018 and beyond. That’s a massive resourcing initiative, and it shows that they’re ready to pull up their “big boy pants,” and try to close the double-digit market share gap that they lag behind Azure, let alone AWS.

    Good resource, but...
Helpful resource, but, like anything else, this could use improvement. Some suggestions: --please level the audio. Sometimes the different speakers have hugely varying volume levels. --please let the people being interviewed get more air time. Brian is good at this; Aaron perhaps less so. --consider getting up front: what the product is, why is it being offered, what distinguishes it from others, what's the tech infrastructure/stack used and why. Usual bio summary from the person is helpful, too. --consider asking at some point what emerging tech the person finds interesting, the next Docker... --consider asking if the person had any interesting failures or directions that didn't pan out and why --if a product is dependent on another product, normalized nagios data for instance, how does the product cope with changes in the upstream product? --consider asking how the company deals with technical debt. Even startups have this issue. --consider asking about the barriers to selling to enterprise and how they're dealing with it --consider asking how much, if any, of the product is based on open source and if there's an effort to contribute any of then non proprietary IP to open source

Wide variety of excellent cloud topics
Aaron and Brian cover a wide range of topics, and really help break down the elements of cloud computing with their various guests. I listened to every episode in the backlog when educating myself on this space and it was the single most valuable resource about the state of the market. Since then I've been thrilled to be a guest, and continue to listen to every episode to hear what others in the industry think about the quickly-evolving state of the business.
