I used to listen to this podcast while working a mind number of a horticulture job with a bunch of fish bros tenish years ago. It was one of the only things that made me feel alive. Love double threat and also Julie riffing solo is gold

    I just found this show
but are you still making it? Last review is 2 years old so I am giving you a new 5 star review. check out "Community News with Paul and Sasha", my favorite comedy podcast. Your POV reminds me of them. Maybe you can all collab on a show.

An hour of a woman complaining/ venting/ talking to herself. Love it! Ps. If Jewlie isn’t happy in NY, it begs the question: where in the world are Jewish people happy. And/ or in which state of mind? Does it exist? I know they enjoy pills and weed quite a bit. Maybe that’s the answer. 🤔

I give this podcast 5 basset hounds and an bonus star made of vegan candy!
Julie is the hostess with the mostest and her takes are always a joy to tune in to- whether I’m laughing, crying, or eye rolling along with her

    So boring
I like Julie. I think she’s often funny, though not always. And because of this I gave this two full episodes before giving up. I wanted to like it, but I was so immensely bored! It was torturous to get through the two episodes and I can’t do it anymore.

The best comedy makes you learn
Am I the only one who actually jots down names, or book or movie while listening? Every episode is followed by me going down a rabbit hole of knowledge!

    More please!
I need more Julie in my life. Please start recording again! I listen to this podcast while I’m walking in my suburban neighborhood dreaming of when I lived in nyc, before kids, before Covid. I need your snarky, hilarious insights!

    Oh, well.
Hey did you guys know that grout and caulk aren’t the same? Hey guys, does anyone else think Billy Joel stinks? Cool.

#1 in my Red Head Hall of Fame
Julie is so smart and funny. I love that she stays true to herself while continually learning and being flexible on some of her beliefs - and her self-deprecation never feels hamfisted. I personally love her long takes on the ridiculous things (like Renee Zellwiegers acceptance speech) and layered observations on some of life’s minutiae. Anywaysss...LYLAS, Julie!

We need Julie Klausner now more than ever
Thanks for the laughs, Julie. And the catharsis.

    love to Jimmy Jazz
When the world needed her most, Julie Klausner heeded their call. If you miss your best friend you could talk to about whatever for hours, you’ll be to have her in your ears to help ride out the storm. Hope to see this incredibly funny lady back on TV soon 💐

    What's with the music?!
Love you but I just can't with the background music repeating over and over again! It's unbearable.

Elevating the mundane to the sublime
Did not know how much I was jonesing for this podcast until I listened to its triumphant return. From last week’s discussion on Julie is not going to mansplain references (look them up, Gen Z) and this week’s “It’s called consent...mental consent.” I’m back in my happy place. Thank you, Julie.

I love vaccinated children almost as much as I adore Jubees.
Thank you for your much needed return. We love you.
  • Cokie Doll
    Discriminate much?!?💔
She seems to have an absolute hatred of vaccine injured children and their parents. It was painful to listen to her discriminate against them. Apparently mocking families having experienced the unimaginable is entertaining for her. I enjoyed her television show unfortunately I cannot say the same about her podcast.

    Best story!
Listening to Poppins grappling episode again! I forgot how fabulous her story is about John Kasich and Alaska airlines. Such a funny and enraging critique. HWYW is top 5 for many reasons, specifically I appreciate that Julie speaks clearly, hardly ever says “um”, best sound quality, and the content is smart, informative, hilarious, and endearing. Love Julie, feels like hanging out with a best friend.

    Hazaa Jubeez!!
LOVE Julie. She is a pioneer of the medium, and is one of the funniest and most thoughtful voices out here. I literally squeal every time a new episode drops.

    She’s not funny
She’s not funny, she’s not special. Why is her ego so huge? I know, I don’t get it either..... omg, her voice is so AWFUL

    Perspective
    She’s got a good one

    She is a queen.
Klausner trains a laser eye on the world and the self—a deeply analytical, profoundly affectionate, and jubilantly singular eye through whose warmth and broad-mindedness I have learned so much about how to be a woman and a human. I’ve been listening to her for years now and she has had a real impact on my sense of self. I’m super grateful she’s here doing this work, and couldn’t adore this podcast more. Hilarious, insightful, unfaltering. Hail!!
  • Wild Pretty Things
    Love it!
Always want more! Julie's snark and commentary and obsession about random things is a highlight of any week an episode comes out.
  • Mom 4.0
    Thank you for podcasting, JK.
I would rather hear Julie Klausner monologue about herself than Marc Maron any day.

    SUBLIME

    Julie Klausner is severely underrated!
I’ve been a huge fan of Difficult People. It’s one of the few comedies out there that are genuinely intelligent. Julie Klausner is so underrated. Her wit and talent taken too often for granted. Love the pod. I’m excited to see what’s in store for her.
  • Rivkah1329
I loooove this podcast and want more.
I know that Julie is busy creating her groundbreaking show Difficult People, so I get it. But still I am selfish and want more. I love to hear Julie's monologues--my favorite part of the podcast.

    Stick with the interviews!
I listen to the podcast for the interviews because they are usually with interesting, unique and entertaining guests but lately the episodes have only consisted of monologues by the host. At times it can be funny and entertaining but she tends to make tasteless, easy jokes at other people's expense. It is a major turn-off and makes me not want to support or listen to the show. For example, the last episode she was talking about Larry King and concluded with saying something like "it doesn't matter because he will be dead soon enough". -cringe- Not only is that not funny, it's an easy joke and pointlessly creepy. If the perspective isn't coming from her very privileged point of view, she is quick to make judgmental and out of touch comments. Another more recent addition to the podcast is the host doing play-by-play commentary of her own tv show. I haven't seen the show and these extremely long and boring segments really don't make me want to go out of my way to watch the show (which is clearly the motive behind this segment of the episode - to gain more viewers for her tv show). The podcast is then filled with dead air and trite comments here and there that make me wonder why I am bothering, so I turn it off and hope the next episode is an interview. The interviews are good. Stick with the interviews!

    Terrific
Julie's observations are always funny. You also start caring for her and hope her life is okay. Which I'm sure it is thanks to "Difficult People". Still when this podcast was on hiatus, I missed her. I love her unabashed feminism.

    The best!!
    Love, love, love!!!!

    My favorite podcast
This is--hands down--my favorite podcast. I listen to it every week, just like going to church. Julie is the best and her self-depricating humor is perfect.
