    Intelligent, hilarious, timeless!
Production may have slowed on this podcast, but I’m here to say that listening to the archived shows is always entertaining! These women are funny, bright, kind, and refreshing. I’m back to 2016 and will probably just start over once I’ve listened to them all. Take a break from politics and listen to something that you’re not afraid for your children to overhear!

    Fitness and Aging
This was my favorite show ever. You answered every question I had. We keep hearing about how strength training is so important as we age, but what is it exactly? I loved hearing that yoga, walking, Pilates, planks, etc all count as strength training! Yay, I had already been doing those things, but thought I had to start lifting weights. Looking forward to the menopause episode.

    My Number One Podcast
I started listening in your radio days and I have not stopped…you are my number one podcast! Thank you Sisters for being who you are and making me a Satellite Sister.

    My Weekly “Fix”
I’ve been listening since they were a radio show and they are now a fixture in my life. I look so forward to hearing the friendly voices, the silly banter, the issues that make me think (but not TOO hard!) and the discussions about topics that I can relate to personally. They’ve carried me through parenting my kids, parenting my parents, and starting and running a business with my son and spouse. If it’s Tuesday, I know my shoulders will relax and I’ll breathe a little easier. So nice to have friends you can count on, even if they’re a podcast away!

    All-Time Favorite!
I’ve been listening for almost 9 years at the recommendation of a cousin. Love this podcast! More than any other, it picks me up when I’m down and makes me laugh/enjoy life even more when I’m up. And when I recommend a show or book or product that I heard about “on a podcast” it is always this podcast. Thank you thank you!

    Satellite sisters
Love it love it love it! I feel like I’m sitting at the table with a cuppa coffee and a friend just like they say. Unfortunately, they don’t know me. If there was only away to get together in person otherwise it’s perfect. Can’t make the big fun weekend this year. Lian came to our book club and was brilliant. Cannot thank you all enough for curating such a fun, feel good show! Diane

    Fun and Interesting
I look forward to the episode drop every week. It’s my favorite. Still the best! I love listening to the Satellite Sisters podcasts and have been doing so for 15 years. They truly can change the world one cup of coffee at a time. :-)

    Never miss a week
This show is so fun! I look forward to it every week. It’s a fun balance of personalities and feels like having a great chat with friends.

    One of the Best Podcasts!
I’ve been listening to the Satellite Sisters podcast for about a decade now. I started when there were five of them sharing the time and quickly grew to appreciate the different personalities of these women. I love the easy banter around different topics. I love the travel and holiday stories. I love the family stories they share. While Monica and Sheila only appear as guests on rare occasions now, Lian, Liz and Julie still keep me smiling and tuned in for that special hour on Tuesday while I sip my coffee, tea, or favorite cocktail depending on the time of day I listen in.

    Awesome community!
This podcast is the first one I listen to when it comes out each week! These lovely women are the warm, fun, smart sisters I can always count on to lift my spirits, teach me something new, or give their hot take on the little things in life in a way that makes me smile. The community they’ve created is so fun and supportive. Highly recommend!!

    Please…
add “Sit Down & Cross Your Legs!” before stories like the panty misunderstanding with buying peonies at Trader Joe’s! I was laughing so hard & wished I were sitting down with my legs crossed! This is my new favorite podcast & I wish I had found it sooner 🥰

    That is all.
I would really like to hear you have Sasha from Community News with Paul and Sasha podcast on your podcast. The combo would be great. #promoteotherwomen

    An insipring show
I am a long-time listener of Satellite Sisters. These smart, graceful, funny and charismatic women have been a huge asset to my life. Since I have listened for so long, it’s as if Lian, Julie, Liz (and Monica and Sheila) have been my road trip buddies as I journey through different stages of my life. I have so appreciated their insight, honesty, and clever perspective on a wide range of topics. They are like my spunky great aunts who give the best advice, cheer me on, laugh and cry with me, and teach me a thing or two about life, career and family. Thanks sisters! Keep up the good work! Candice

    Walk, Listen, Laugh
Walk my dog listening to this podcast and I always find myself laughing out loud. Love listening to these sisters discuss so many topics relevant to my life. In addition to being funny, they are smart and engaging women. It is like being with good friends/sisters.

It really is like grabbing coffee with a friend!
Satellite Sisters is my very favorite podcast. I just visited my real life sister, who lives near Dallas, and we had a discussion regarding which Dolan sisters we are most like. (She’s most like Julie, and I am a Lian/Liz combo.) My husband is familiar with the sisters, because I often recount parts of the podcast on our walks. In other words, the podcast has become a fun and informative part of my week. The sisters are interesting, highly accomplished, and super entertaining. Thank you, Satellite Sisters!

    Can’t miss
I love listening on Tuesdays while I meal prep and cook a few meals for the week. Listening gets me through with a laugh and I don’t have to drink as much wine to make it bearable. It’s a cherished time with the sisters who I call my friends when I’m relaying anything I heard on the show to someone else. I always wanted a sister and these three are perfect.

    Look forward to Tuesdays
Of all the podcasts out there this is my favorite. I always learn something new and am impressed by the research and information provided. Most of all it is a reminder that we are all in this world together and are here to share, care and laugh together. Also, having two sisters myself the conversations, the laughter and gentle jabbing brings me home. Your Mom and Dad did a great job raising you and teaching the right values in life. Keep up the great job!

    Nothing better!
I have listened to every episode for 4 years. I have laughed and learned so much about women in sports, the Olympics, travel, tv shows, books, cooking and more. Every big topic gets discussed, These sisters are a class act.

    One of my favorites
A colleague and friend recommended this podcast to me something like 5 years ago and I have been listening ever since. I love the wide variety of topics covered, humor, relatability, and honest conversations that are always handled with kindness. To me, it really does feel like having coffee with friends and has become a favorite I look forward to each week. The support their online community offers one another is incredible as well. I am glad to have found the smisterhood and 10/10 recommend.

    Thank you Sisters
I discovered this podcast after meeting Lian at a live event in February 2020 before the shutdown. Already grieving for numerous personal losses in addition to impending Covid I began listening to the current episode, continuing on to every back episode . Most days your podcast was the only thing that could make me laugh out loud. Thank you for your civility, intelligence and humor and thank you for Cooking With Liz and Lian’s terrific novels. 😄Your creative sharing and entertainment is better than therapy. May you all be happy and well❤️🙏

    October 11th Episode is amazing
I just listened to the October 11th podcast. By far the most excellent episode in my 20 years of listening to the sisters. This had both interesting content and amazing delivery. I usually take away one or two nuggets to share with friends IRL. In this case, it would certainly be easier just to play the entire thing there’s so much to pass on. Well done Lian, Liz, and Julie! You made my day. Thank you.

    Loved by a another sister
Could be this show appeals to me because I am a sister myself (one of three) born in the 60’s. In any case, I find their banter delightful; equal parts entertaining, informative and relevant. These women are well-spoken and candid and I happily invite them to keep me company in my home, my car , and on my runs!

    Light— and serious
Stumbled upon the Sisters when they were on NPR, then discovered again on MyTalk 107 in Mpls in their ABC days. Followed then to podcasting and just keep getting inspired. Love the mix of light and serious— thanks for encouraging us all to stay engaged, informed, and positive thinking!

    Yay!
Love SS podcast soo much. Read their book years ago and loved it but only just found their podcast during quarantine. So disappointed I’ve missed all these years of their quality performances. Really love every aspect of this podcast, I have learned so much about so many things and it look forward to their new episode every week

    Thankful
Joining the Satellite sisterhood sometime before the pandemic made Tues/Wed a weekly focus for me and I am sure others. While walking my dog, iI walk an hour laughing and sometimes crying out loud (behind sunglasses) and learning so much. You are my friends who provide a connection to so many others through information, ideas and just plain joy. Thank you!

Thank you Dolan sisters for jumping over challenging hurdles to keep your podcast independent! Good you are keeping control. I heard about your podcast through the 2020 Erma Bombeck Writers Workshop. I am the photographer when it is a live event. Hope you all can join us in October 2022 because it’s such a fantastic three days of laughter! You lighten our lives and keep us laughing with you, at you and at ourselves! I promise to spread Satellite Sisters this year. Julie-remember your 2:30 appointment! 😂 From another eldest sister named Julie with 3 younger sisters who sometimes tease.

    All time favorite!!
My sister introduced me to these sisters about 10 years ago. My sister and I are very close and talk often and usually talk about the last episode that we listen to. We lost our dad this last year and remembered the time when you lost both your mom and dad so close together. Funny, definitely sisters and always bringing interesting things to light. We will always find you no matter where you go!

    A weekly laugh
Laughter has been proven to benefit our health in so many ways. And so does the Satellite Sisters Podcast! From my first episode in 2020, I have laughed out loud at least once during every episode. Thank you sisters for bringing us all better health!

    Clever and Fun
Listening to these 3 women about life, family, travel, books and music never disappoints. Edna Dolan did something right letting 2 young kids run a baby sitting club at the beach! It’s the greatest combination of clever banter between friends.

    Sisters through COVID
During the many long days of working in my home office from before sun-up to after sunset, you all were a piece of sunshine when I was feeling so dark. Some people converse with the tv talk shows, I chat with the SatSisters podcast as if we’re sitting around the kitchen island catching up and sharing information. Love you much!!
  • Dlgoldie
    Addictive, warm, and intelligent conversation
I’ve listened to the Sisters for years - first on public and then commercial radio, and now via podcast. Three really smart, different, and funny sisters offer their unique perspectives on both important and shallow topics. This podcast has a big heart! Hop on now and catch the next 20 years.

    Best podcast ever
I love the Satellite Sisters. They make me laugh, sometimes cry, and always brighten my day. The sisters are friends - can you have a friend you’ve never met? YES you can!

    Longtime Listener
I love the Satellite Sisters. I have been listening to the podcast since day one and before that I listened to them on live radio. Theirs was the first podcast I ever tried - I had never heard of a podcast before! I find myself saying things in conversation like “my friend Lian said….” Or “according to my friend Julie….” They truly feel like friends to me and I value their insights and their wisdom. Funny and intelligent women who are a huge part of my life every week!

Friends helping me walk my way back into my clothes
I am a landscape artist that lives in steamboat springs, colo and Texas. Because of COVID I got stuck for a long while last year in Texas, including a long hot summer, and realized I MUST start doing something active, soon, because my husband didn’t want me going to a gym before we got our shots, and working out at home was beginning to be a losing battle, partly because all my Texas Zumba classes dissolved, and the online ones I like are only a few times a week. Running every day is no longer an option at my age, and on top of that I was still recovering from a broken hip from playing, of all things, pickleball in colo. So it’s not been a fun year. Despite all the quality time with my hubs. A friend told me about this podcast, and I decided I would take up walking on my “off-online dance” days and listen to the podcasts. (I didn’t even know what a podcast was; pleasantly surprised to find it’s on my phone! Magic!).....I really detest just walking - so slow - but these gals have made it bearable and after a couple weeks it does seem like my clothes fit better....and, Omg I was laughing so loud from the caftan issue this week that people were giving me looks (noise cancelling earphones don’t help with that problem). I am now looking forward to working my way backwards thru them...and thanks ladies for all the current events! I am sending your ideas in to my book club! Xxxooo

    Delightful
I don’t have sisters, but listening to Satellite Sisters makes me feel like I do! During the pandemic they provided me with lots of entertaining conversational topics to use with my family. That made the forced captivity much better!

    So glad I found this!
I’m so glad I saw Lian Dolan on Friends and Fiction and learned about Satellite Sisters. I love hearing Julie, Liz, and Lian every week and always learn something and laugh a lot too. It really is “like grabbing coffee with a friend!”

My favorite hour of the week, whether it is driving to work, walking in the neighborhood, or doing chores around the house. These ladies keep you entertained with their friendly, humorous, sisterly banter with their updates on current events, trends and recommendations.
