ComicFoilMakes the listener want to join in!Just finished listening to the Ted Lasso episode and it was fantastic. Listening to the three share their thoughts and adoration for the show and characters made me not only want to watch the the AppleTV show all over again, but had me wishing I was right there in the room with them, joining in the conversation. That’s the highest compliment I can give!

PoitgjptdvootfhiutsxsFound my joyI’ve been listening to the FW Network for years. I came for the comic book talk, stayed for the movie and TV conversations, and found more and more great stuff to listen to and enjoy. This is a great group of people. This is a great group of podcasts. It wasn’t until recently though that it really clicked with me just what it was that I loved about coming back time & time again. I ALWAYS have a smile on my face while listening. Always. Doesn’t matter how I felt when I pressed play, when the show ends, I’m feeling my joy. That’s their motto “Find your joy”. Took me awhile to fully understand that. I’m a better and happier person for it.

MaxwellChrisSuper Couple, Super ShowCindy and Chris are podcast royalty, and one listen to this or any of their other shows will show you why. Their chemistry is, of course, great, but it’s the love for the source material that shines almost as brightly as their love for each other that will keep you coming back. If you see their names on a show: subscribe to to!

starfleet3000The Fire & Water network is awesomeI found the network a few years back and love all the shows, and the new shows are just as entertaining. I’ve always loved who’s who and your coverage of each issue is fantastic. And your who’s that is even better, I’m totally deep diving into balloon buster. Keep it up.

rlsharp77Secret origins podcast Redux editionsI was very excited to see secret origins come back with a redux edition. Even more excited when I saw a kid eternity episode!!!!! Keep it up

BrianvarStone Temple PilotsGreat episode! Took me awhile to warm up to this band as well, then fell irrevocably in love. Tragic tale of wasted talent. Was in college at peak of grunge. Thanks for covering this group.
-
DanS2020Great!Enthusiastic hosts with a passion for their material!
-
William McElroyHey Kids, podcasts! The Fire & Water network consists of a plethora of podcast goodness. The hosts preside over a cornucopia of comics, music, movies, & general pop culture discussion with keen insights & good natured commentary.
-
Billy DunleavyExcellent network! After tuning in to a horror podcast on this network, I branched out to find so many other quality shows. There’s something here for everyone. DC comics, Treasury Editions, toys, films, music, etc. they have it all!
-
PaulK3Best Podcasts!I can’t believe I have forgotten to post a review for #FWpodcasts! Best set of comic podcasts out there. My favorite is Who’s Who but you have to check them all out.
-
NerdyLove1997DigestCastThis is a fun series that uses the pretense of mythologically shrunken comics to take a deep dive into the DC and Marvel universes. It's fun to reminisce about some awesome and some not so awesome comics from long ago. While I love the JLA digest, my favorite episodes cover bizarre books like Strange Sports stories. One of my favorite listens. Well done, guys! Sean, Pulp2Pixel Podcasts
-
James HusseyExcellentThis is my favorite comic's podcasting network. Every show here has something to offer and I love the various host's take on their respective domains. Great podcasts and always a highlight of my week

PrydonianPostA Top Notch PodcastThe Irredeemable Shag and Rob Kelly are fabulous hosts. The two keep the podcast moving at an appropriate, rapid past. Their knowledge is welcoming and informative. -Ashford

Fredoi812Thanks Ryan!I been enjoying all your shows. thanks for your memorial Prince show. Love the network! Thank you for all the work you do. Ryan did it again with the Prince episode! I would listen to a Prince show a la pod Dylan 🖖🏾

J-bone1Rob + Shag 4everYeah, I titled this review like a high school yearbook signature. Wanna make something of it? Wait. Wrong podcast... Rob & Shag have something special when they can take non-top-tier characters & make them interesting & exciting. Admittedly, I was already a big Firestorm fan when I found the show, but I had zero time for Aquaman. Since discovering the show, I have read about a dozen of the more recent Aquaman issues & I have really enjoyed them. Thanks for turning me on to a previously much-mocked & overlooked character. And since I know you read the entirety of iTunes reviews: Ghostbusters is the greatest movie ever made. The James Bond franchise is the greatest thing ever made. Boo$ter Gold is the most underrated comic character ever. And anyone who puts pineapple on their pizza is immediately suspect. Correction: any *man* who puts pineapple on pizza is suspect - girls usually love it...and, well, girls get a pass on most things in the world of The Yard Sale Artist.
-
symsonFantastic!I've only recently discovered this network and as I go thtrough each show one by one I enjoy them more and more.
-
CanadaClarkCaptain SlappyWhat is there to say about these shows? I could say that they are dull, stupid and a waste of time, but I can't, that's called lying and it makes the Baby Jesus cry. Man-O-Shevitz is this a great cluster of shows. The best show hands down is Who's Who. Although the Secret Origins show is a distant second. All of them are pretty great, so I suggest you give them all a try. FZAAM-FZAAM-FZAAM!!
-
Marc LacJLI podcast. Man this is the stuff. The Irredeemable Shag and his rotating guest hosts have done the impossible. They've made the Giffen/DeMatteis Justice League even more enjoyable than they were originally. Which is no mean feat considering their Justice League was the best book (except for the Superman books) to come out of the post crisis DC. The love Shag and his guests have for these stories comes through loud and clear. Between the " witty banter " and perverse innuendo you can't stop listening. Really Shag and his guests are the best at what they do and these JLI stories were the best of their kind. Listen and enjoy!!
-
Al GerdingThe hosts make the show! These 2 guys could read a restaurant menu and make it sound interesting. Yin and yang may be a good way to describe the energy, and both are master podcasters. Throw in 2 great heroes and this show is a winner. This podcast is HOT
-
Brian KegleyGreatest Podcast Ever!!This is my favorite podcast to listen to each week. These guys have great chemistry and are a lot of fun to listen to. If you love comic books, and listening to two guys talk about comic books, this is the podcast for you, but only if you’re ready to have a good time doing it. The Fire and Water Family of Podcasts is a great collection of shows. These guys know a lot about what they are talking about, or at least they are really good at making it seem that way. Can’t recommend enough! Fan the Flame/Ride the Wave!!

Council of GeeksA Perfect Podcasting TeamThe thing you quickly learn about great podcasters is that they can make you excited to hear about things that wouldn't normally grab your interest. I've never much cared for Aquaman, and I knew virtually nothing about Firestorm before I started listening to this podcast. But Rob and Shag have such great chemistry and obvious love for what they talk about that I don't even really need to know much about these characters to have a great time listening to them.
-
Clinton RobisonExcellent podcastIf you've never listened before this is a show about a dude who loves to talk and another dude who only sometimes enjoys talking and they sometimes talk to other people who either love or somewhat enjoy talking. Usually about comics. Sometimes not.
-
Lil' Justin BarlowFirestorm who?Kidding! I love the Nuclear Man (learn how to say "nuclear" yet, Shag?), and that guy who talks to fish! I've been listening for probably 2+ years now, and it's definitely a fun podcast - great intro music, and Rob Kelly is a wonderful podcaster. Shag... well, he tries. That's what's important. Every time I encounter a member of the F&W community online, it is incredibly pleasant, and the fact that these two have gotten such a high quality of listeners should say something about their podcast. If you're a comic book fan, check out this show! You (probably) won't regret it!
-
AxolisDisregard the name, this is BgrimoireThis podcast is a wonderful thing to listen to in your spare time or when you simply want to hear about some fun comic characters.
-
Bradleyman612Great stuffLove this show. Thees guys are truly my favorite team of comics podcasters, Thw "Whos's Who" show is with out hype my favorite Comic pod cast, possibly my favorite pod cast in general.
-
mikegillisGood stuff!Probably the best chemistry I've ever heard between podcast hosts!
-
Yardley81I can't believe this podcast existsI was turned on to this podcast after listening to the Flash tv podcast. I'm slowly catching up from the start at the rate of one episode a day. I absolutely love the Slipknot references in every episode (that I've heard) as he is a favorite of mine simply because he is such a horrible idea. I can't wait to make it too the Who's Who episodes. Even though Firestorm is a top 5 childhood favorite, I have enough of a soft spot for Aquaman to completely enjoy this.

Grammar MerchantProduct Works as Advertised, and Then Some! When subscribing to podcasts, it's common to have worries. "Will this podcast fit on my listening device?" "How much weight will it add?" "Does it require an adapter?" "How well does it perform?" Well, I was happy to find that this podcast came precision-engineered for my device and required no adapters or adjustments. I didn't have to worry about regions or conversion rates as I sometimes do with podcasts manufactured outside the U.S. No sir, this is pure American engineering. Likewise, while I've been burned before by hidden costs and tricky legal jargon, the Fire and Water Podcast delivered exactly what it promised. There were no hidden costs or exclusions, and assembly couldn't have been easier. Rob and Shagg have taken great pains to make sure your listening experience is smooth and trouble-free. And the performance on this thing! I couldn't believe how easily it maneuvered, taking corners with ease and accelerating on demand from 1X to 2X at the touch of a screen. If you're looking for a high-quality comic book podcast with all the luxury appointments and performance to rival those more expensive European sports models, look no further. The Fire and Water Podcast is for you!
-
Adam GarinFan the Flame and Ride the Wave!I can't say enough great things about this podcast and the hosts! Shagg and Rob have created a labor of love and have shared it with the world.
-
PiperruthSteamy podcast! These guys were fans of Aquaman and Firestorm before it was cool. This show captures the breadth of their history, while keeping you posted on the current happenings of these two legends. Lots of entertaining geek talk abounds with a rabid fervor, and it is enjoyable for any comics fan. The Who's Who episodes are included in the feed, and they are epic. I'm late to the party, but I am having a blast catching up. I started with the first episode and want to hear them all, savoring every last decibel. The hosts' interaction with their audience is spectacular. I would buy these guys a Blue Devil beer!

Doctor G Man of NerdologyFan The Flames and Ride the Waves! This is currently my favorite podcast out there. Not only is it chockful of all that great DC goodness, it also has two great host in the Unredeemable Shag and Rob Kelly. Working from the blogs the Firestorm Fan and the Aquaman Shrine. these two take an issue by issue look at the characters of Firestorm and Aquaman. In addition they cover topice likes the DC Who's Who, Power Records, and many others. This podcast is also the perfect gateway drug to an entire multiverse of comic book podcasts. As a fan of comics new and old, this would make an excellent addition to the podcast playlist.
-
narcher78My first and Favorite Podcast! If you’re a fan of DC Comics, particularly ones from the mid-80s, you NEED to be listening to this podcast. I started with their Who’s Who episodes, which are beyond awesome, and will be sticking around for anything else these guys put out. Both Rob and Shag are well-versed in the history of the books they discuss and I really enjoy all the nuggets of useless-comic-book-trivia they deliver each week. They also happen to have the most amazing intro song I’ve ever heard. Keep up the awesome work, super friends!

Alex osiasOne of my favorite podcasts! This podcast, which celebrates fandom both broad & shallow, and narrow & deep, is thoroughly enjoyable. Even when plumbing the depths of admittedly narrower fandom communities (such as Power Records), or tangentially related topics (such as the Kubert School), or even current events (Firestorm in the Flash TV show, Aquaman in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie at the time of the community), there is clear love, preparation, and knowledge about the subject matter. Aside from the lively, good-natured banter of the hosts, there's a lively, active, and highly skilled and knowledgeable community that features prominently in each episode, broadening the supporting cast of the podcast beyond the fictional ones. Five stars, and an infinite sheet of yellow zip-a-tone!
-
mythmakingetcFirst-time "caller"I've been listening for a long time now, but I'm finally here to leave a review. This is more than just an Aquaman and Firestorm podcast, it is a love letter to DC Comics and their many wonderful characters. DC fans, whether or not the two title characters are favorites of yours, NEED to be listening to this show and a part of the community that has grown around it.
-
Firestorm826A Match-Head's ParadiseReally enjoying the Fire and Water Podcast. I bumped into Firestorm Fan on Twitter and his tweets led me to this podcast. Great, entertaining, and informative. Very much like the details in the coverage of the Classic Fury of Firestorm issues.
-
Victor WachterSo much to listen to!This has risen to become my favorite comics podcast right now. The show is about Firestorm and Aquaman, and that's great. There's never been a better time to be a fan of these two characters. But then add in episodes about Power Records, Who's Who in the DC Universe, DC Heroes RPG, and other stuff that were integral parts of being a comics fan in the 70s and 80s. Every week is a happy surprise.
-
Angry HeroLove this showthis podcast really got me into comic books again.
-
Clara Oswin Oswald MontagueLack of access to early episodesI'm kind of interests in listening to this, but the earliest episode that I can get seems to be 24. It doesn't seem like the kind of podcast you should start off at episode 24...
-
MichaelcpaVery Enjoyable & AddictingI got caught up in the guys' Who's Who podcasts a few months ago. It's been a blast to drag out the old issues and follow along. Love the guys insight and humor. Recently started listening to and enjoying the Aquaman/Firestorm "New 52" recaps and review as well; but now with Aquaman "New 52" and Fury of Firestorm "Classic" -- AWESOME!!
-
Black_Ice77NiceI'm not a Aquaman or Firestorm fan, but enjoy all the info that you guys give. Went back and listened to the older podcast, now i'm caught up. Keep up the good work.
-
RizzopeNuke the Flounder! What a great podcast this is. Rob and Shag clearly pout their respective love of Firestorm and Aquaman and comics in general into each and every show. From the review shows to the Who's Who coverage, to the audio commentary ones, this show is great even though it pairs the greatest comic book hero in the known universe with that guy that talks to fish. Nah, Aquaman is actually pretty cool too even though he smells like fish.
-
Silentwalker420A podcast soothing to the earsThis podcast delivers on three things for me continuously 1:strengthens my deepening respect for aquaman/firestorm , 2: reminds me to 'find my niche' in school comics history , an an exciting afternoon every new who's who episode with my daughter (she's five) flipping thru my old who's who issue an DC comics encyclopedia enjoying comics as they were intended, thx for the hard work an keep it up:)
-
Your Mom is a popular nicknameHoly Nuclear Fried Fish!My enjoyment of these characters goes way back, I was in grammar school when Fury of Firestorm debuted in 1982 and while I didn't stay with that series very long he's still part of what I consider my JLA. I've always been a fan of Aquaman (that's Aquaman spelled with two hands) but the post Blackest Night Aquaman has been top notch. The hosts are true fans who embrace all versions of their respective characters while ragging on the others to keep things fun. Long may you swim/burn.
-
FotoCubWho's Who? It's these guys! The DC Comics "Who's Who in the DC Universe" episodes of Fire and Water are some of the most engaging and interesting discussions of characters I have loved since childhood. Whether you own the original title or not, there's lots to learn here about DC History, as well as how to talk about what you love in comics without being snide or condescending. Good show, gents!
-
Flash Fan #1Great comics podcastFrom covering Who's Who to Firestorm and Aquaman to Power Records, this podcast never disappoints. Rob and Shagg are great hosts that'll make you want to hit your comic shop and readalong with their reviews.
-
Red SevenGood ol' FunI love this podcast. Shag and Rob are hilarious to listen to and there is always a new comic I want by the end of the show. If you like Aquaman or Firestorm, you'll love this.
-
Squirrel_AxolotlHuzzah and 3 Cheer !!!These cats know how to bring it and have a amazing work ethic to this podcast … Along with the other 52 companion podcasts they generate a month … Keep it up you've grown a great podcast and continue to show why Firestorm and Aquaman are the DC Elite !!!
-
aquadcdFinding my joyI've been a stalker of both Rob and Shagg's blogs for awhile now and this podcast is the ultimate combination of two great personalities coming together to argue and get nerdy over comic books. Recently Shagg has started a notion of the fanboy quest to 'find your joy'. I've been going through some of those same feelings myself lately and truly have to say this podcast is helping me to 'Find my joy', meaning specifically the elements and eras of comic books that I truly love. Thanks to them for a great job.
