Come hang out with us after every Indiana basketball game, and every Thursday night, as our team of hosts -- Jerod Morris, Andy Bottoms, Ryan Phillips, and Brian "The Coach" Tonsoni dissect every angle of IU basketball, as we've been doing since 2011. We are equal parts unabashed fandom and objective analysis, with plenty of laughter along the way. If you're looking for knee-jerk analysis and hot takes, this is NOT the show for you. But if you want a show that isn't afraid to critique play while always staying supportive of players, then this is the place for you.

Been listening to this show for years now and the quality has dropped tremendously. Specifically ryan phillips has become borderline unbearable to listen to and read. His hysterical reactions from game to game are becoming comical. Good luck to you guys i used to enjoy your show but all it is anymore is nit picking and complaining specifically when phillips is on. His display on twitter after the 1/23 michigan loss was my last straw i am no longer interested in the tone this show brings to the iu basketball conversation as i leave almost any episode he is on more annoyed than the actual basketball game made me.

I LOVE this podcast and all its hosts. Listening to it is the first thing I do every Friday morning. All the post-game shows are awesome too, along with the recent “emergency” episodes (boy, these three weeks have been fun!) Jerod, Andy, Ryan and the Coach are so much fun to listen to, and I appreciate their insights. I was already a diehard Indiana Basketball fan before finding the Assembly Call, but now it’s even more fun. As they say, I enjoy “celebrating with friends.”

This is a must listen pod for any IU Basketball fan. The content is well developed, timely and honest from true Hoosier fans. Their generally fair and well reasoned with their analysis leaving the hot takes for others. I never miss and episode.

Fun Listen

I don’t get the people who give this show a negative review. Honestly if you don’t like the show then don’t listen to it. There are plenty of other IU basketball podcasts. Anyways for those of you that aren’t angry at the world or IU for hiring Archie Miller give this show a listen. The post game shows are solid and the Thursday show helps keep you current on all things IU without having to check Twitter all the time.

Optimism isn’t always necessary

Look these guys are fine, they’re guys. I’m sure Tonsuni has a better record than Archie did. But every episode is just the same thing. Complain about something, then defend it, then spiral into ridiculous optimism for the future. I mean these same guys that hyped up Evan Fitzner for hours on end are now saying that Xavier Johnson is a potential all American.

So good! So objective!

This show is so good. They don’t pretend to be college analysts, yet are always so right about almost everything. They never flaunt their “sources” and leave those things for the Adam Schefters of college basketball. They would never say something crazy like “Archie Miller is a better hire than Tony Bennett” and they always own up to their mistakes. They are completely objective. I fully trust their opinions. Love these guys. ESPECIALLY the addition of Coach!

Brilliant reporting & analysis

I’ve been binging TAC for about five years now as a Hoosier alumni through thick and mostly thin. Why? It’s all in the reporting, as if we were all sitting on the couch together. Only it’s like you’re sitting with four very knowledgeable friends. So the discussion is much more stimulating. “Jared” Me. Bottom’s Line, the ranting Ryan, the Coach(es) and more always bring meaning, freshness, and honesty. Love it! You should too.

My IU Fix!

The Assembly Call is where I go every week to get my IU fix. Love the game recaps, player analysis and what went right and what went wrong. The guys speak as true fans so it’s always nice to see the raw emotions we fans go through.

Great Podcast for Reasonable IU Fans

Jay Bilas recently implied that IU BB fans are “cannibalizing” the program with super negative social media posts, unrealistic expectations and by grossly overestimating the program’s current relevance. This podcast proves him wrong!! Jarod, Andy, Ryan and Coach are ultimate IU super fans but in a very positive but rational way. At the same time they “keep it real” and understand it is 2021 and not 1987. The AC team is part of a collegial community of IU sports podcasters and listeners which is very unique in today’s college athletics landscape.

Hanging out with IU Buddies

Listening to this podcast is like visiting with my friends that love IU Basketball (and occasionally football) as much as I do. They do their homework and broadcast after every game. Some of my favorites are when breaking news happens and they produce an “emergency” show so we can stay informed.

Non experts who think they’re experts

This show is so bad. These guys legitimately think they’re college basketball analysts and they are just so wrong about almost everything. They reference “things they’re hearing from their sources” as if they are the Adam Schefter of IU basketball. Keep in mind these are the same guys who said Archie Miller was a better hire than Tony Bennett, and not one of them admitted their mistake. No objectivity whatsoever. How does anyone still believe their opinions?

My Favorite IU Pod!!!!

By far the best IU basketball podcast out there. Maybe even best basketball pod, but I might be partial!! Seriously though, I am a big Alabama football fan, and I WISH there was a podcast as good as this for my other alma mater. This is a must listen for anyone who loves IU basketball or BIG 10 basketball. Keep up the great work guys!!!! I’ve been listening for years, and your style makes it seem like I know you personally although we’ve never met.

Very informative and entertaining for Hoosiers fans that are always wanting more analysis. Would prefer Andy and Coach Tonsoni as co-hosts for Jared. Ryan analysis is not very compelling and his rants are obnoxious. Also bummer that the John Mellencamp bumps went away.

Short and sweet, this is my favorite IUBB podcast. It's extremely informative, the conversation is great. I've learnt quite a bit and always feel completely caught up on the latest news after every episode. If you're a Hoosier, I suggest you do yourself a favor and subscribe.

Fun, laid back IU basketball podcast

I'm a big fan of this weekly show. It's always a lot of fun and I enjoy the informal approach the guys take to recent news around the IU basketball program. A nice radio show approach for those of us that live outside the Bloomington area.
