fuzzystuff1Get on with it!!!This podcast is incredibly hilarious! It’s extremely well crafted in every aspect, and I could go on and on praising it until I run out of adjectives. However… I think that, since this podcast was already completed and aired for listeners to enjoy years ago, today’s listeners should NOT have to wait an obscenely long time between episodes. The annoyingly long intervals between episodes is made even more frustrating due to the typical run-time of the average episode being a bare 7-9 minutes! There’s so little story released, followed by such a long wait, that by the time the next “episode” comes out, it’s difficult to remember what’s supposed to be going on! So, In the immortal words of Monty Python, “Get on with it!!!”

Big StinkkyGreat series !Our Fair City is so well done. It’s one of my favorites of all time. It’s like listening to an old serial radio show and the sound “design” is top shelf. I look forward to listening to each new episode.
-
egad80808Favorite show, ‘nuff said!Hartlife, all the life you’ll ever need, a saying that can’t be more true, from the humble mole people below us, to the ant people, Neal Henderson’s mighty sacrifice leading all the way to the hope of Hartlife, and all the beauty between! If none of that made sense listen to it and become entranced with the worlds greatest fiction world! Btw, time travellers are not real, do NOT listen to the moles (Btw mole rights!)
-
pri0106Unique, Exciting and HilariousBrilliantly scripted, directed, and acted. Love the characters!
-
saturn2006Best podcast EVERThis is my very first podcast but to be honest it was the greatest podcast I’ve probably ever listen to recommend it to everyone!
-
Chianne61One of the best audio dramedies!Terrific script, fantastic voice actors, lots of fun to listen to!
-
ThunderBlade GamesLegendaryI will always be a huge fan myself. Beautifully written story and absolitely glorious sound design! I can't even stop making References to this show even after a year since I last listened!
-
FrommyshortsSuperbLoved ever second of it !

Me x 7Tried 3XI cannot get into this, made it through all of season two on my third attempt and the story only vaguely comes together or is interesting. Many of the voice actors are chewing the scene so much I had to adjust my skip forward to get past some of it quicker.
-
Euripides ReduxI meanOf course I’m a fan~
-
GurlNtreeOur fair cityNO STARS!!! The actors should not list this on their resumes bc that was the worst piece of CRAP I’ve ever listened to. The acting sounded like it was a two man band (1 man & 1 woman) playing all the characters. It was the stupidest most childish script I’ve ever heard. NO STARS!
-
Ella WillowEXCELLENT podcast!hilarious and heartbreaking - it’s very straight for the first ~6 seasons, but fantastic regardless
-
DjsombreroExcellent audio sci-fiThis is a brilliant podcast with a fabulous cast of characters. I only wish that it was still going on.
-
ArtGeekMomAMAZINGWe all have that book or movie that we weren’t sure about, but kept going with, only to find out it’s amazing. This podcast is one of those. To be honest this took me a couple of tries. I didn’t understand what direction this was going or how the characters fit. But I gave it another go, and let it play. After awhile I realised that every episode left me needing to know what happens. I didn’t want to listen to anything else, and ended up binging the series. In the last 8 years I’ve listened to hundreds of podcasts. This show is hands down my favourite. Writing, acting, production, imagery, all phenomenal. Do yourself a favour, put your headphones on, strap in, and give this a real chance. It’s REALLY REALLY GOOD!!

Fluffy / ShmibA flawed start, but a great ending. If you enjoy absurdism, sci-fi, postapocalyptica, steampunk, and old-timey radio, (Even though this isn't steampunk but bear with us) you'll probably love this! But there's one thing I've always told people about this show: "The toilet humor can be distracting, but it's necessary to keep the podcast as lighthearted as it is." After all. If they just stuck to jokes about how nightmarish the society is, well... it'd be easy to lose hope real quick and start seeing everything as just one big joke. So, what's the podcast without the jokes? It's a tale of people desperately trying to survive in a corporate-run, climate disaster-ravaged dystopia that sees the preservation of human lives as the bottom line, and doesn't care in the least about individuals. It's a cautionary tale that shows just what happens if a corporation runs every aspect of human life, (Speaking of which, if you liked Obsidian's game Outer Worlds you'll love this) and it shows what happens when rebellion stops becoming a distant dream and becomes a necessity. Yes, it's political. But those themes, I think, improve the show. It gives it a feeling of being grounded, despite all the absurdism from giant ants, Herbert West (call him Herbert. yes, THAT Herbert West) the Reanimator, zombies, cryogenically frozen scientists, mole people, and day-to-day life in HartLife. PS: If you start losing hope, don't worry. The ending is... well. You'll have to see it to believe it.

JudedoodlesVery sadI honestly loved this podcast until they started pushing a political agenda in the 7th season, very disappointing for them to sell out after all this time. Still a great story, but ultimately tainted by biases.
-
Lord GroVery clever, and very funnyEpisodic humor/sci.fi. set a few centuries in the future in Hartford, during the upcoming ice age. ;) Very funny, with sly references to classic science fiction and some other things (such as a song by Canadian folk singer Stan Rogers).
-
speye22eJust plain funThis quirky audio drama takes place in a corporate-run city in the middle of a post-apocalyptic tundra wasteland. Rather than make it dark and gritty, the creators made a fun story filled with a colorful ensemble cast of characters including: -your friendly neighborhood mole people -a mad scientist trying to bring the dead back to life -another, rival mad scientist -a tough and protective mother determined to drag her adult son out of the trouble he made -her wayward son -a near indestructible sewer worker with his trusty shovel -his sharp, conniving girlfriend -a suspicious dead disposal driver And more!
-
moppet_miSo. Much. Fun.High production quality, reminiscent of classic radio dramas - with a strong nod to modern racy subject matter, and more than a dash of gore. Sounds weird? It is! And, thank our lucky stars, Policies! Made it through four seasons so far, and thrilled there are four more. Dark topics are countered and balanced by wonderful humor. Well done, all - and again, thank you!
-
~ Violet ~For Science!Campy and heartbreaking humor. Impeccable narrative sound, lots of extras.
-
icsweett911Fantastic!This story is fun. I binged this right from the beginning and have recommended it to all my friends.
-
RepghFunny and unexpectedFun story with likable characters in a well-defined setting. Unexpected gem.
-
Babzilla392Listen Dear PoliciesFunny, well written podcast that holds your attention and keeps you coming back for more. See you in the tunnels.
-
ShaushauLost in the tunnels!!!I love I mean LOVE this podcast. You get lost in the story with these amazing actors and sounds affects. Just awesome, try it you’ll like it!!!

dob2008Great choice for a long story in short bitesI’ve enjoyed a large number of audio-dramas via podcasts. Some came recommended on Reddit and were not up to the raves. However, OFC is incredible. The characters are unique (and well-acted), the soundscape is tremendous, the story is very enjoyable. Each episode is generally 10-20 minutes, so you don’t feel like you need an hour to invest and you’ll never be tempted to speed it up. The story is tongue-in-cheek funny commentary on corporate power (an insurance company’s stranglehold over its “policies” in post-apocalyptic New England), mixed in with zombies, species reactions, race relations, and laughable science references. The first 6 seasons or so are utterly without advertising!
-
W3rleBirdDrinking GameTake a shot whenever any character is particular about their name (e.g. “Call me ______” or “Don’t call me ______”) Note to writers: this is not a substitute for an interesting character!
-
KateCrestSmarts, skill, humor, heartYou’ll be quickly won over by the incredible writing, acting, and production of Our Fair City. But the greatest strengths of the show are its brilliantly-realized setting & lore, and its ability to braid tongue-in-cheek sci-fi tropes, humor, and kindness into the smartest social satire in podcasting. I mean: a climate disaster has created a totalitarian, capitalist regime where some citizens are considered sub-human and the biggest holiday is called Exclusion Day. I know, right? And they started this close to a decade ago. I’ve listened to the entire arc of the series multiple times, and found new things to love about this excellent story each time. I’ve laughed and cried. You will, too. Incidentally, “government propaganda” is maybe the best in-world reason for audio files that I’ve ever heard. And this team is SO good at saying two opposing things at once. Next week, OFC is finally, bittersweetly, satisfyingly coming to its well-earned conclusion. But that means you can binge nine years of story, beginning to end. And you should. So venture into the tunnels, dear Policy. Do it FOR SCIENCE. You might find, in Hartlife, All The Life You’ll Ever Need (tm). PS: Thank you, OFC Radio team. For everything.

sbean14628Weird but addictive! This is a bit of an odd podcast. But the more you listen the more attached you get! Very unique and always something new going on. Sometimes there’s so many voices/characters it gets a little tough to tell them apart but overall you get the idea of what’s going on. If you’re interested in nerdy/sci fi/futuristic genres this is a great podcast!
-
thebrowniebroListen, and Remember! It's taken me a few months to get through the whole show this year, but I have loved every minute of it! I just recently got into podcasts and this was my very first one! My love to all those whose hard work has gone into creating Our Fair City. Like the city of Hartlife, may your stories continue! Thank you for the wonderful adventure!
-
femaletocryptidMy all-time favorite podcastThis podcast is witty, memorable, emotional, interesting, creepy, and extremely well-produced. This isn’t just something you listen to for fun—this is something you get attached to. Something you continue to think about months after you finish listening to the story. I wish this were in novel format so that when people ask about my favorite book, I could say it was Our Fair City.
-
sixela1792Our Fair CityExcellent writing and voice acting.
-
thequietenthusiastsGreat pod cast!I love the show, it’s lively and the characters are so weird and lovable. Was it purposeful to have “The old man” the voice of Dr. West voice in the mini serious? I miss the original voice actor of Dr. West. I figured it might be so bc Nathan is telling it and he’s angry at his parents, and consequently Herbert West, for not forgiving him. Any how great show! I can’t wait for the next one!
-
FungamethisisyupSuper relevant in trumps AmericaAn awesome take on what can happen to a xenophobic country that only cares about corporations with no disregard to human life! I give it a 10/10
-
Rasputin108Clever, creepy and humorousFantastic future full of oddities and obstacles. Truly a unique dystopian post-apocalyptic tale full of zombies 🧟♂️ mole people and an all seeing all hearing “big brother”...
-
ELM@BVery entertainingVery well done and entertaining. Love it.
-
Culv4282Great characters, excellent productionListening to Our Fair City is entertaining, with a good, smoothly flowing story, taking place ima closed ecosystem filled with memorable, quirky characters. I’m actually sad it doesn’t go longer
-
Mcsween1288Love it!Zany, charming, and surprisingly touching! I flew through all the available seasons in 2 weeks!
-
olivescreechI’m addicted!I binged this amazing podcast in the span of a week and it’s fantastic! It has everything I love; a gripping plot, unique and fully fleshed out characters (even those who are or are based off of existing characters, like Dr. Caligari and Dr. West), and a creative setting that feels nothing like a stereotypical dystopia. From the endearing mole people to the corrupt Board, there’s nothing boring about Our Fair City, and I don’t think it ever will be. Listen, and remember. Note: As an avid Lovecraft reader, I appreciate and laugh at the references. I actually read Herbert West - Reanimator before I even knew this podcast existed, so I was really surprised (pleasantly so, actually) to see this podcast pretty much scrap every personality trait given to him by Lovecraft save for his total recklessness and obsession with bringing back the dead. This is unrelated, but I can’t wait until the Chamberlain tapes come out, if they do!
-
OmarFWWorth your timeVery glad I took the time to keep listening past the first season where it gets really good
-
User boxInteresting conceptsThe sound quality and effects could use some work. But the story is very enticing.
-
kdimercLove this show!!This series is doing all the things right. It’s exciting, the pacing is perfect, the characters are all distinct and beautifully acted, the story is full of twists and turns. I’m only half way through and I can’t wait to see where this goes!
-
Disco bootyUnique and addictive!I am truly entertained by our fair city. Scientists, mole people, and loyal policies must unite to take back their lives and fight for them all at once.
-
28Meme42Wow!I can’t believe I only discovered this now! It’s brilliantly acted, well written, witty, well-produced, just all around fantastic!
-
Jo Jo 96322578Just not into it..Everyone has their own taste though.
-
RyanVafaI KEEP FINDING MORE REFERENCESThese folks know how to make a story. Incredible from beginning to end. Their craftsmanship knows no bounds. Hilarious, riveting, and super cool. Thanks, guys.
-
NitioncogpreA Story for the AgesHark, gentle Policies! Listen well and know your history in this excellently written and acted podcast.
-
ScootronicFunny As All Get OutNot only is the audio production quality great, but man, the other aspects. The quality of the storytelling and the built in, often twisted humor, make this show a must listen to.
-
AndySwordsMassively CharmingOur Fair City will mercilessly parody everything you hold dear, and you will love them for it. Hankering for Mad Science and gothic horror abominations? Stay right here. Looking for a jazzy steampunk setting with notes of noir cityscape ? Look no further. Want to top it off with a totalitarian post-apocalypse? Really, it's like you wrote the show pitch yourself. The sound mixing gets a little wonky sometimes, but honestly that alone isn't enough to balance how lively Our Fair City is. Maybe I just have a soft spot for old-timey radio drama accents. I binged the first three seasons far too quickly, and I'd bet that you will too.
-
Cult_of_TrashI am so glad I didn’t unsubscribeWhen I started this podcast I didn’t think I would continue listening to it, I honestly thought I was going to delete it after 3 episodes. But for some reason I kept listening, and to my surprise it was getting better. The storyline was getting more interesting and the quality was improving. If you are just getting started, stick with it because Hartlife is the only life.
-
Maite666676666AmazingWhat a great drama I got so into it I binge heard all 7 seasons and just noticed the 8th is out. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next. A good story very very good story
