Really informative stuff. Practical examples that spark ideas on what a coach can be doing to improve their team. I share these podcast all the time to other coaches and get nothing but positive feedback.

I have been coaching middle school boys for several years and was looking for an edge, or at least some help navigating the challenges and isolation of coaching. Sam and TJ are incredibly insightful and I take away key pointers for coaching in every episode.

So much great insight on these episodes. I love the mix of principles and tactics and the consistent way that they explore how to build a strong culture. I also love the humility that TJ, Sam, and Lisa exhibit in exploring different approaches. As a HS basketball coach, this is my favorite podcast to get ideas of how to grow our program.

I tune in because I’m addicted to coaching, but TJ and the gang are all over the map. They seem to be in conflict with themselves and the direction coaching modern sports (basketball) is headed. If you were a new coach, you would probably throw in the towel, listening to the amount of psychological warfare for coaches presented in this podcast for the most part. Coaching is a thankless job that many people can’t sink the energy into with the amount of grief that comes with the job nowadays. There are some outstanding points and lessons taught on here no doubt. I feel like I have to sift through too much fluff (e.g. culture and expectations, which always seems to be a question and not an answer) to get the pointers I’m looking for. Thanks for your energy and time.

Coach Allen and Coach Rosene’s weekly podcasts provide new to experienced coaches with timely topics on coaching strategies, player and team development and so much more. Their conversations present every angle of a topic and rarely do they stray from the topic. Some podcasts take forever to get to the topic. TJ and Sam get after it from the start of the show. I find myself returning to their episodes when I need clarity on a topic!

I started listing to this podcast after attending a PGC camp as an observing coach. Great basketball podcast with fresh and timely topics and insights!

The episode featuring Tony Bennett is one of the best podcast interviews I have ever listened to and have been trying to get better for over 30 years. All coaches young and old should listen and take notes. A how-to describing the importance of balance between reaching for excellence and staying true to your faith!

There are better coaching podcasts. Plus others have better reviews. This one doesn’t seem to have a high quality. Some of the other guys also seem way more informative. But hey at least these guy tried.

I'm a player whose coach put me on to this show. I have enjoyed learning things from that perspective a lot! More importantly though, (at least in my view), I have learned so much about coaching, culture, and player development. I hope to be a coach one day, and this podcast has given me a few ideas on how to go about accomplishing that in such a way that will improve myself, and the players I eventually coach. Good work guys!

I have yet to listen on an episode and not learn a lot. Wish this type of content and information was around with I was playing 35 years ago. I hope more kids, coaches and parents find this podcast and enjoy it as much as I have. I keep telling other parents and coaches about it hoping they will give it a listen, if not they are really missing out on a lot of great information. This podcast is my favorite of all the podcasts I listen too. Adam and Alan are very entertaining and they have very interesting and informative guest. The topics vary greatly but always helpful. I find a lot of avenues to find other training information from this podcast. Their willingness to inform of other options not just "listen to us" is what really makes this the best podcast!

Alan and Adam bring energy and enthusiasm to their podcasts. The breadth and depth of their topics is unmatched.

After coming across the Hardwood Hustle podcast I binge listened to every episode to date and then went back and listened again to really take in as much as I can. They just get it and have a way of educating and expressing themselves in a very special way. As a young coach I find this very helpful and try to take away something new from every episode. #lovethehustle

I am 18 years old and have been coaching since the age of 14. I have coached ages 8-16, and am very passionate about coaching, I currently coach AAU, but plan to continue coaching and progress to the next level. I started searching for a podcast in order to gain insight and better develop my personal coaching philosophy. The podcast about being friends with your athletes is very powerful. It just reaffirms what I have been doing in the past. I'm not so interested in players liking me but because I'm so young players tend to cling to me, but also they know and have the respect factor toward me as a coach. Any who great podcast keep up the good work.

Just listened to ep. 164 with Mano watsa and I have to say it truly changed my day and openings my eyes a lot! I'm in the habit of listening to one podcast a day and today was just another day to knock one out. I love all of the podcast but this one personally touched me in a spiritual way as well as engaged in the modest behind one of the best basketball organizations in the world! I'll be attending a coaching event for sure and implementing it into my organization!

At the end of a season I am usually exhausted, but while traveling I came across this podcast and listened to episode after episode. It has already made me excited about next year and making plans for the future. I am a former women’s college basketball player and have been coaching since graduation (’05) at a prep school. I appreciate the acknowledgment of women in the field and inclusion of talented girls in the sport. I love the ideas and debates on the show.. Keep it coming. Well done!
