Duncan obviously puts a lot into this podcast and he reviews a wide breadth of movies of all different horror sub genres. His detailed notes on each podcast are perfect to make sure you know what movie is getting reviewed when in the feed with or without spoilers, where to catch the movie, and his score for the films. I give it 5 stars also because I have pretty much agreed with all of his reviews, so that helps too.

If you are at all a horror movie fan, then The Podcast Under the Stairs is your jam! Duncan is a great host, he has a great chemestry with the guests he has on, the special episodes - stuff like Baz v Horror, the 88 Films Italian reviews or the Summer Top 10 Countdown Specials - are consistantly entertaining and funny. In short, I fully and without reservation recommend the show . . . even if Duncan hates Chopping Mall. But I don't hold that against him. Much.

A sub-show of this podcast is “The Baz vs...”, a review series with Duncan and ‘The Baz’ - a man who has failed to spend his childhood raised on the horror genre like some of us and therefore gives an honest and hilarious perspective on the films Duncan chooses for him to watch.

I can't say enough good things about this show and the guys who put it on. Whether it’s Duncan alone, Duncan & Baz, or Duncan & a different guest, It’s always top notch. Any fan of horror needs to check this out. Any lover of cinema would do well to give it a chance as well.

With Duncan you can expect a work ethic that will blow you out of the water. Keeping caught up is a fast paced ride as episodes drop fast and never lacking in quality. Its amazing. All Duncan does is eat, sleep, and make beautiful podcast! And as for the Baz well there are no words to describe him. Listen and laugh and accept him as your new role model.

Duncan is a great host. The Baz is hilarious. This podcast has a lot of interaction with the listeners and it engages me much more with that. I love the films he watches and recommends. Definitely would recommend giving this one a listen.

I love this show. If you like horror films, this is for you. The two hosts are well-informed and have interesting, captivating banter as well as often differing opinions on films. The only real negatives are the sometimes wildly different audio levels, which can make hearing the different hosts and guest hosts a challenge, and the main hosts habit of smaking his lips to make a point, which is a personal pet peeve. Neither is a huge problem, and the show is absolutely worth checking out.

The best podcast on this. our planet Earth, bar none. Duncan and his guests provide interesting analysis of horror films and have turned me on to some I never would have seen otherwise. Then there's the man, the myth, the legend. THE BAZ! The most naturally funny racounteur I have heard since a young Billy Connolly. The worse the film is, the better he is. The man has induced stomach pains and streaming tears from laughter. Thank you big man! Please review Nekromantik 2. As much as I hated the first film, the Baz's reaction to it was priceless and I'd love to hear him get that wound up again.

Absolutely recommended! If you're a horror fan this is a great dive into the world of that end of cinema. Plus, if you love to laugh, and see some different insight, go directly to Baz V Horror episodes, and find some of the funniest commentary on horror cinema.

This is definitely one of my favorite podcasts and it's hosted by 2 of my favorite podcasters. Duncan and his partner, The Baz cover horror films with wit, genuine love and a good bit of cheeky patter, rarely matched by even the most vulgarly eloquent of scholars. Duncan sets up the spooky with the giddy abandon of a pre-pubescent school girl, just to have the Baz come along and defile them in a manner not normally seen on this earthly plane. All in all, this is a real gem of a show, brought to you by two tartanic titans who really do bring SO much color to the podcasting world. Please do yourself a favor and give it a listen. Once is all it'll take. You'll have the audio equivalent of meth-mouth inside your ears in no time. Cheers!

These guys are amazing and I love this show. I thank my boyfriend for asking for help with his third anniversary message to you guys, that is how I was introduced to the show. Duncan is very funny and very knowledgeable about his movies. Plus he gives great movie recommendations and he always answers you on the page. This series is fantastic!!! Misery is the bomb!!

Duncan is at the top of the horror podcasting game. If you only download one horror show, this should be it.

Just recently found this podcast and now I am patiently waiting for another episode. Mixed of horror knowledge, insight and humor and I love it!!!

Seriously, this isn't just one of the best shows out there about horror, but it's one of the best shows period. Always energetic, funny, insightful, and backed up with heart (something a lot of podcasts lack). Duncan McLeish, The Baz and guests don't hold back but they do so with a wink and a smile and the end result is a blast.

This was recommended to me and boy am I glad I listened. Great podcast, very informative! I have come to realize Baz is my spirit animal!! Cheers!

If you love horror, humor and the occasional genetilia joke all told in a sketchy Scottish accent...you simply must subscribe to this. Duncan and guests have a great time discussing horror, both old and new. A can't miss!

Duncan and all of his guests, along with current show cohost the Baz navigate through the world of horror with a wicked sense of humor and provide far more entertainment than insight, this is of course by intension. The episodes featuring the Baz will have you laughing until your sides hurt. Its great as a Horror Superfreak to have a podcast like this to turn to when in need of a horror fix with a sharp sense of tongue in cheek fun!

I found this show while hearinga promo on another episode, decided to download one episode to check it out. So glad I did. This podcast does a lot of things really, really well. It's fun, it's creative, it comes with some great guest hosts but Duncan is the star of the show as being amazingly well-versed in horror. There is nothing better than listening to a true horror fan talk about horror. There's way too many 'casts these days just broadcasting to hear themselves talk or berate any and all horror that they don't personally take a liking to. This show is objective and while giving clear opinions of things reviewed, leaves it open for us to decide what we like-a true mark of a great show....Great job, guys!

I'm a bit late to the game but I absolutely love this show. Duncan is great and I really like that he brings on different guests - especially, The Man, The Myth, The Legend....The Baz. Keep up the great work!!

I absolutely love this Podcast. The best reviews ever on old stuff and new! They give spoil alerts so you can shut it down...if you don't want to hear the spoilers.

If you are a fan of horror films, you are doing yourself a disservice if you are not listening to this show. Not only is the host engaging and extremely knowledgable, but the frequent co-hosts add a bit of variety that always keeps things feeling novel. And if that's not enough, there is the outstanding subset of programming known as Baz vs. Horror, where a relative newcomer to the genre gives his fresh opinions, on the films that we enjoy. The best part about this is that Baz's opinions are uncluttered by feelings of nostalgia and so he is able to demonstrate a clarity that many genre fans simply do not have due to their immersion in the films while they were young. I've said enough though, the show can speak for itself, by all means give it a listen.

Duncan brings his vast knowledge of horror to a wide range of fans from the commoners (like myself) to experts alike. Always enlightening, he's steered me to some really great movies I'd otherwise never let see the light of day, and away from some God-awful cash-grabbers that would simply waste my time (trust me, I foolishly tested it out). He also has great segments and bonus episodes, from the informative Round-Table discussions with fellow podcasters to the often hilarious Baz V. Horror. This is a great podcast to check out if you have ANY passion for the genre.
