DMR-13Diversity in newsI have listened to your radio program for many decades. I stopped listening to it because it is only focused on news from Europe and not incorporating news about Mexico, Central America and South America as it should be highlighted more prominently. You need to incorporate more of this news because it’s impactful to us in the United States directly, and it also overlaps European news. Over half of your show should not focus on news from only Europe.

AtamaganaiPoet Mosab Abu TohaPoignant. Seared my soul to know the real consequences of a war of extermination by one who survived and lives to write poems as a lasting testimony of a suffering people. Thank you, Amy, for your lifelong commitment to be the voice of the marginalized, the suffering masses crying out for help. Your stories keep the flame of justice and resistance to power to burn brightly in those who care.

struggling to hearAnnoyingAmy is that person at a dinner party who desperately wants everyone to know that it is pronounced Mackkkron.

runner.momBest News Program available in the USAI used to believe in CNN. Now I know better. Thank you Democracy Now.

Phoenix hikerAmy refuses to go against MSM narrativeAmy bashes Elon Musk and praises media matters for manipulating ads. Amy ignores the excellent reporting of independent journalists like Michael Shellingberger, Matt Taibi, Katie Halpern, Briahna Joy Gray. Aaron Mate, Max Blumenthal, Glenn Greenwald and so many others. So sad that DN has evolved into just another liberal propaganda mouthpiece for the Dem Party. Todays episode on attacking RFKJR through innuendo and unfounded claims was the last straw. Why not interview RFKJR or at least read his books before all the childish ad hominem attacks? Amy calls everyone that goes against the Democratic Party narrative a conspiracy theorist. Such lazy journalism led by interns.

V. HerreraListen to every weekday but…On today’s show 10/24/24 Juan’s audio was emitting a high pitched noise and just had overall bad sound quality. So much so that even though I wanted to learn more about the topic I unfortunately had to stop listening.

DaynablesBest news source out thereAbsolute best source for daily - non biased news that exposes corruption nationally and worldwide

Western WebspinnerToo much unbalanced news about the Middle EastI’ve been a regular listener to DN for almost 20 years. Unfortunately, since the attack by Hamas on Israel, DN has degenerated into fetishizing the Palestinians cause, providing a relentless torrent of accusations against Israel without even the pretense of being balanced. Simply put, this program is too credulous when it comes to such accusations and, in the process, seems to be positioning itself as a professional left perpetual outrage machine. As such, it is increasingly undermining its credibility and, as a result, does little to advocate for thoughtful ways to address the horrors of the actions by both Israel AND the antisemites that wish to kill Jews and destroy the state of Israel. This program needs to pull back from acting like a Palestinian News Network and be more sober about a very complicated and tragic situation. It can start by not bringing on histrionic observers and move toward more thoughtful commentary.

Wholeness seekerDependable and thoroughMy go to source for daily news. I can depend upon Democracy Now to be honest and more than headlines and sound bites.

TelecloudOver played theme titleWould be be more interesting if colleagues were speaking more rather than only briefly introducing themselves. Would appreciate if the music played during intervals were shortened in order to let guests finish speaking rather then suddenly cutting them off because they’re out of time. Please list music played with artist and title in podcast details.

TwintalkLoose JAZZ MUSICLoose the heavy jazz music it’s distracting and very annoying, please!

Paaapi DooogMovements for changeTwo primary reasons for my listening to DN are: coverage of international developments that is deeper and more trustworthy and coverage of movement actions for change unskewed by corporate funders. To accuse DN of spewing leftist and socialist propaganda without acknowledging biased reporting influenced by corporate interests is willfully blind and deaf. Status quo preservation is the aim with change viewed as bad for business.

HefewiseIndispensable Journalistic IntegrityWithout Democracy Now! It would be unimaginable for me to come close to being informed without spending half of every day reading and researching. Essential news source. As a Jew, I especially appreciate the coverage of Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian prophet in Gaza. Please put any biases aside and take the time to listen.
-
J'aime mon mecExcellent counterpoint to mainstream Western mediaYou will hear stories that you will never hear on CNN, Fox, BBC, etc. Excellent reporting and interviews w/ guests that are never invited on other news outlets. One weakness: the podcast intro/outro music …yikes! Please change it, omg it’s so bad.

EdeTMStill The Bestnews show available. Update: Negative reviews claim one sidedness in terms of left politics. Left news outlets are the minority, not the majority like certain individuals and big outlets who come from the other side with huge listenership and viewership. Democracy Now is still a much needed source of news for these times.

Lorin Arnold HemmilaAmy Goodman’s Democracy Now is Trustworthy NewsIf I had to explain to anyone why I have listened Amy Goodman’s Democracy Now almost everyday since 1996, I would simply say because Amy Goodman is a much more reliable source of information than probably any Director of The Completely Incompetent Asylum! Btw in the last 28 years I have sent DemocracyNow several emails and received NO RESPONSES… perhaps because perhaps my input was irrelevant or boring…. or perhaps because your offices were staffed by agents of some “intelligence agency,” who interdicted my email… However, it is also possible that U.S. agencies are preventing me from communicating to news agencies.

Tooch1964TerribleIf you like one sided “journalism”, you have found your home for life with this very biased podcast. You will hear everything good that you ever wanted to know about socialism and communism without all the cumbersome realities that come along with those ideologies . I will give Amy Goodman props for her tireless pursuit of leftist propaganda. She does work hard at delivering one side of every story.

whyouareiBest way to cry on your way to workTop notch journalism bringing us the worst and best of humanity, providing vital context and first person accounts on the ground. And it’s a great means to connect with my grief, rage, and solidarity before starting the work day 🥲

XTINA.TOKUAbsolutely love DNI tune in every morning to listen to DN. Their ability to report on worldly topics without the blatant whitewashing that corporate/western media does is exactly why I listen daily. DN is the only American news outlet that I will listen to. I appreciate that DN amplifies the voices of oppressed people and communities; specifically amplifying Palestinian voices during this genocide. DN gives historical context that is missing in western society and media and it is an extremely vital aspect of truth that it needed to educate people.
-
rpswindspiritGreat perspective and contextDN is much more informative than giant corporate media. Thank you for your continued hard work.

ElizaCostBest for truthful newsThe news is based on history, current events, and facts, rather than commentary of “opinions.” Unfortunately, mainstream “news” shows are not based on any of these things. They simply spout ridiculous opinion pieces that appeal to people’s emotions to garner listeners and 💰 While the news does do interviews, they are thoughtful pieces with people who have had responsible positions and are aware of the history of current events, which never happen in a vacuum. Thank you for keeping it honest!!!
-
i like hockey not golfLong time listening.Listened for a long time. It is disappointing to see so many stories with changes that we know about still being pushed by Amy and the other hosts. I mean would it hurt you so badly to update on the current events of certain stories to show the honest truth of them. And on a different note, Amy mispronounces words all the time. Not a criticism because I know I do as well. Just an observation.

joel.bizDecades of courageous journalismDemocrats Now is one of the most important news organizations in the world, certainly one of few in America that deliver unskewed coverage of world politics and events, never backs away from the real story, and remains entirely independent of corporations and powerful political institutions which already impose their own interests on the news outlets accessible to most Americans.
-
kelvis2000Pretty good showI would say they are 1/2 way between corporate news and truly independent. More leaning towards independent. Sometimes really good guests.
-
berni2012Democracy Now Is A USA National TreasureThank you for your important, truthful and courageous reporting.
-
fatyhuTrue journalismI listen to democracy now almost daily. It is my major source for global news. It gives me great comfort to know that it is independent journalism and is funded by individuals. Amy and her team do a wonderful job bringing in voices that are not highlighted in mainstream media.
-
7437-lockThe international news showDetailed, nuanced, and with an appropriate sense of urgency. Thank you for making all this good work publicly available, without ads or paywalls

snuzortruly independentnews for the people, not watered down or filtered for the ruling class. very trustworthy!

beanFinEvery day I tune in:)Covering the whole world is tough but these folks do a pretty good job!
-
krahmk12Detailed but EXTEMELY one sided reportingDemocracy Now does detailed reporting on many issues. It always takes the side that America’s is bad and so are its allies. For example, in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict they go on and on about Palestinian children being killed by the Israelis. They NEVER mention that Hamas hides behind civilians and hospitals when it launches its rockets, a war crime. Report after report about supposed Israeli war crimes, yet no interviews with the Israeli government, no reports of Hamas doing anything wrong apart from the initial reports about the massive terror attacks on October 7th. Democracy Now frequently goes back 50-100 years and picks at the scabs of American history, yet never doing that for any other country. This is a despicable media organization.
-
JayelleSunshineThe music? Why is there upbeat music playing in the beginning while discussing murder and death of children? Maybe change the music up depending on the intro topics?
-
Prince WaliDemocracy Now is the real dealListen to Amy, Juan and their amazing well informed guests and learn so much, thank you for the amazing work you do in the midst of this biased news ecosystem.
-
Mike TomaiMy News ProgramI read news from a variety of sources. I routinely tune in to listen to the unbiased, relevant coverage that Democracy Now provides. Many of the interviews and stories won’t be found on many other outlets. Keep up the great work

FanbouyNon-corporate biasMoney and power cower to Juan, Amy, and the gang — be sure to assist with your otherwise useless dollars!
-
Shameful and dangerousBias reporting!I used to love this show, but the bias they have shown with the Israel Gaza war is dangerous. First, the Jewish people were in the area over 3000 years ago, so calling them colonialist is a big lie. And calling Hamas resistance is appalling. You should be ashamed of yourself.
-
Cloie C.Smart and Fair ReportingI have always watched DN online and am grateful that I can listen anywhere through their podcasts. Thank you for doing the important work of upholding journalistic integrity.

10 of ClubsThank youExcellent program. I listen to every program. Without it, it would have been difficult to see what’s really happening in the US and/or internationally. Especially in the country, Japan, where I live, the facts are hard to come by. Thank you Amy for your leveled and well thought castings and the crew members to make it possible for us so that we can hear the real news from wherever we live. In stead of the ones manipulated or created by the people in the power.
-
McCarrickless10/9/23Incredible reporting, DN! team💚 Thank you
-
Usergdhdu$;This should be THE evening newsTrustworthy, informative. shines a light on all that the corporate news media ignores day after day. Excellent interviews, very on-point. If Amy Goodman had been alive throughout history, they would be interviewing the Arawaks, the enslaved people, all the conquered and abused peoples, and Howard Zinn could have based his “A peoples’ history…” on Democracy Now’s excellent reporting.

-
PDXreddLeft leaning REAL journalismThese guys are definitely left of center but unlike Fox on the other side, DemocracyNow is actual journalism. Definitely not fully independent, many of their views are suspiciously similar to western interests, but overall they provide a much needed service.
