Each host is smart at times…
but it’s like they take turns playing the dope. Case in point: one of them recently referred to The Fablemans as a “thinking movie.”

    Think they lost me….
It started off as an interesting convent, even though at times it seemed like only one of the hosts actually played close attention to the movies. They finally lost me when the spent almost an hour discussing the relationships of the same sex couple in Alien: Covenant. It was really a very minor part of the movie, as was James Franco’s appearance.

    Great podcast
Love the reviews new and old and am excited to hear what’s next. I’d love to recommend directors such as Michael Haneke (The Piano Teacher, Cache) and Lars Von Trier (Dancer in the Dark, Dogville) since these two are fans of Yorgos Lanthimos. Also more Cassavetes (Killing of a Chinese Bookie, Opening Night) and Paul Schrader (Mishima, First Reformed) would be awesome too.

    Fantastic Podcast
Their unique perspectives really make you think about the concepts and dig deeper into films you might’ve watched. It’s light hearted, grounded, and still manages to be fascinating!

    Exceptional listen
You guys consistently bring out points I’d never thought of- even with films I’ve seen dozens of times! Intelligent, open discussions that always keeps me engaged - love this podcast.

    FOH and BOH
I so look forward to listening to this podcast after a watch a film that these two have talked about. It gives me more insights and helps me look at it from a theatrical point of view as well as a behind the scenes view. I love it, my only problem is they can’t hear me when I interject with my opinion or to answer their questions 😄

You’ll want to be part of the conversation
If you really love movies, you will enjoy this podcast a great deal. The conversation between the two hosts is natural and knowledgeable. I forgot I was listening to a podcast and interjected several points out loud. It’s like hanging out with your favorite film geek buddies. Give a listen!

    Top Notch
This is my #1 movie podcast. Very insightful, interesting, and thought provoking. These guys aren't pretentious in any way, are fully willing to laugh at themselves, and are very fair when discussing a movies strengths and weaknesses. Also, it's nice that profanity is left out of these discussions, as i consider it to be completely unnecessary. Great podcast, have a listen and learn more about some awesome films! Two thumbs up yo!!

    A Go-To Movie Review Show
Respectable views with a leaning towards the artists points of view, and not the money.

    2 Men and a Podcast
Definitely entertaining and educational. Each episode peaks my interest in a movie that I may have overlooked. They definitely have a lot of insight and knowledge about the films they discuss and it makes you want to re-watch old favorites.

    Great Perspective
I love the approach of the 2 angles (technical angle + actor’s perspective) of this podcast. Not your typical “movie review” podcast which is not a bad thing. Paul James and Josh Knapp talk about a movie’s background, score, production values, trivia, etc. You can tell that these two really love movies and compliment each other’s approach. The only complaint I have is that sometimes they forget to give a movie’s plot before going into all the nitty gritty details that they love to talk about. Keep it up!
