Firmsconsulting maintains a 80% success rate at placing clients within McKinsey, BCG and Bain. This is the highest in the industry and the rate is higher if we include other firms. We achieve this rate because we only use former partners from McKinsey, BCG et al to develop our clients. This makes us unique. We never use analysts, associates, engagement managers or associate principals. We also carefully select and develop clients on their communication, image, technical and case interview skills. This podcast channel describes our lessons from training our clients.www.firmsconsulting.comwww.strategytraining.com

    Not just for aspiring consultants
This podcast is great for anyone that wants to think more effectively, solve problems, engage others in a professional manner, and especially for those who work at any level in business. In other words, this is for nearly everyone. I expected this to be a podcast strictly about case interviews but was delighted to find so much content that applies to business in general and conducting oneself professionally. The title of the podcast and brief description may actually do it a disservice because this has a much broader appeal and is far more interesting than those would suggest. Cheers to Michael.

    Great Podcast
Extremely informative podcast broken down into bite size segments that are easily digestible. I really like the specificity of each episode; it's very easy to navigate the large number of available podcasts and find a relevant/interesting topic.

    Entertaining, engageing, education
Firmsconsulting has created a tremoundous free resource in this podcast for consulting career searches and professionalism. I have leveraged the insight and tips from Michael throughout my career transition into consulting. The podcast mixes humor and humanity into the education when Micahel tangents onto his own life or passions. This is a fantastic podcast to use in your search, and easy listening for a workout or commute.

Good advice, wish it was delivered from a different person
Insights are great, I wish they weren't delivered from an out-of-touch, obnoxious haughty professional.

    Simply brilliant!
This podcast, in my opinion is the absolute best in telling its listeners what to expect in the world of management consulting. Michael delivers the hard truths about management consulting as well as a lot of wisdom from his own experience as a partner. If you are a person who wants to break into this ultra-competitive field of work or someone looking to improve their case interview skills then you can never go wrong with this podcast.

    Great Resource
I have been following firmsconsulting for half a year and am very excited this content is available on iTunes. After browsing a wide variety of resources for case interview prep and on-the-job training, I believe firmsconsulting provides a unique outlet that allows an individual to ace the case interview and shorten the learning curve for a consultant. I highly recommend this resource.

    Excellen Material
I have been subscribing to FC for about a year now and the material is always clear, concise, and practical. Kevin and company do an unbelievable job breaking down cases with concrete examples. It's awesome!

One stop shop for management consulting aspirants
There are so many resources that tell you how to crack cases. Very few will take the holistic approach and educate you on what ‘works’. Coming from an insider covering topics above and beyond how to do well in case interviews, these podcasts are tremendously insightful and useful for all aspirants - beginners to advanced. Tip: start early, it will take 2-3 months, or little more, to make the best of this program.

    Be A Professional
As all the other reviews have mentioned, this is a great podcast to learn about management consulting and the case interview. However, one aspect that really was unexpected is Firmsconsulting's message on how to build values to be a better professional, whether you are pursuing management consulting or not.

A must-have for consultants and aspiring consultants
Amazing channel, this is a must-have for both consultants and consultant-wannabes. - Very easy to use - Great info from why consulting, what is consulting to where to start the application, what to do to prepare for the interviews, to how to start thinking as a business leader and communicate with clients - Most of the podcast episodes offer valuable advice and personal tips with concrete examples I only wish that these episodes could be grouped into different subtopics/"buckets" so that it would be easier to navigate through the contents and identify the episodes that are the most relevant to my interest.

Podcasts well done and packed with information
What you see here on iTunes is a small selection of the podcasts that are on the Firmsconsulting website. The podcasts cover a wide range of topics covering how Tier-1 management consulting firms work from the perspective of a Tier-1 firm partner. These include the interview process, life as a strategy consultant, and how to solve strategy problems just to name a few. The podcasts go into enough detail that you do have to listen to them a few times with pen and paper in hand to get all of the information. They are also not so long that you will lose interest. If there is a weakness to the list of podcasts, it would be that some of the podcast topics may not make sense unless you are a reader or subscriber to the website. Overall, the podcasts are well done and if you are interested in management consulting, the podcasts on iTunes serve as a big incentive to look at the Firmsconsulting website and become a subscriber.

5 reasons why I use firmsconsulting
I’ve been a heavy user of firmsconsulting podcasts, articles, video materials for half a year. There are 5 things that keep my interest and are the reason I spend > 50% of my spare time on their website: 1) Partners lead - This is the only consulting training firm run by former partners from McKinsey, BCG and Bain. This has an enormous impact on the quality of material, breadth and depth of the discussion. At no time you are getting an answer from the assistant of the partner. Accessibility and approachability are the innate qualities of service delivery. The average answer time from the partners has been around 2-3 hours for my emails. 2) Global focus – one of the firm partners is former McKinsey global strategy director, another, the managing partner, has worked on projects in >30 offices. You will have access to podcasts and analysis of South Africa, the specifics of consulting offices in Russia, or Germany, or China etc. 3) Innovative approach – In the projects I read about, firmsconsulting came up with original ways to delivery strategy studies. The latest study includes: interviewing through crowdsourcing, liveblogging, preferring second tier business MBAs to first tier etc. As a person working at a firm that emphasizes benchmarking, I have learnt from firmconsulting that merely using best practices is not an option. 4) Values lead – Do you “A consultant with weak values is a sleeping scandal”, and “at the end of the day, if you don’t feel good about yourself, what’s the point of spending your life in consulting” are two quotes (might have different wording) that came from the firm’s partners. The firm is values lead, many times at their own expense. You are not born with strong values, you have to learn them, build your “DOs” and “DON”Ts” and be wary not to walk away from guiding principles. The materials on the website present an excellent opportunity to learn what it means to serve client’s best interest. I remember reading an article about how some of BCG partners misbehaved during recruiting, giving preferential review to a son of a potential client. Firmsconsulting was the first to criticize BCG even though the firm includes a former BCG partner. 5) Unique offer – the services they offer are not offered elsewhere. The key material includes: a) resources on how to get into consulting b) Library tools how to succeed in consulting once you are already a consultant c) Real studies where you can implement the tools that you learnt. This is everything you need to know about consulting. If you haven't heard about firmsconsulting before, it's because it keeps a very low profile. Their prices are not necessarily the lowest. But isn’t it the first MBA lesson that you learn: you can’t have cheap and best at the same time?

    Best Resource on Management Consulting!
I have been a member of firmsconsulting community for over a year and have really enjoyed FC's and Michael's perspectives as a management consultant. The previous podcasts (on the website) have covered all aspects of the profession, including, career entry and development, current trends and most importantly the value system espoused by all the leading firms. Looking forward to more enjoyable content!

    FC podcasts now on iTunes!
This is great development. I have been listening to FC podcasts ever since I happened to know about the firm, its objectives and its values. Thanks to FC for continuing to train and enlighten aspiring and practicing Management Consultants. Keep them coming!

By far the best consulting resource online
I have been following Michael on firms consulting for quite a while now. I have been through many online resources on this subject and many mentors - but Firms consulting stands out as the best by far. Michael takes us through the ins and outs of the management consulting industry, the psyche of consultants and the intricacies of case interviews from his first hand experiences as a former Partner - and that's hard to beat. . It's one thing to learn about the concepts of casing but totally another to truly understand them. Michael takes great pain to ensure his students truly ravel the concepts as opposed to memorize frameworks. I would highly recommend all aspiring consultants to subscribe to this podcast and also to the 'consulting offer' on the website.

    Firmsconsulting
I have been watching and learning management consulting case interview skills taught by Michael Boricki from Firmsconsulting. I have to say Firmsconsulting offers the best of all case interview training programs available. The skills and way of thinking I learned from this program is unparalelled and are probably only available in the top tier strategy consulting firms after you join the firm. Being able to learn these skills prior to sitting down with the interviewers provides a golden opportunity not only to wow your interviewers but also help you acclimate to the real consulting environment quickly after you join the firm. I'd recommend this program to anyone who's interested in a career in management consulting.
