Your views are interesting but where is the evidence where is one helpful mutation that has been analyzed go to ICR.org for what I believe

I love these snippets. I could take more involved episodes but will accept whatever is given. As a non-scientist who loves to learn and understand as much of science history as possible, it’s just terrific. And I really appreciate the kind warm message the host always gives. Cheers!

    Super funny
The funniest part of this podcast is that it is telling lies. Yes, natural selection is true, but I did not evolve from some bacteria. There is too much proof against this for us to still believe this. I’m not trying to force my belief, but if u believe this at least look at the other argument.

    Well…
Just discovered this podcast, started at ep 1 and have been going through the list. So far it is light on the “Evolution Talk” and very heavy on the biographical history of early naturalists. (I really don’t need to or want to hear about Erasmus Darwin’s love life in a science based podcast) I’ll keep listening, but I’m pretty disappointed so far (30 episodes in). Having voice actors read the scientists quotes and passages from their diaries and papers is an interesting artistic choice (a bad choice), perhaps toning back on the (sometimes) very thick accents would be something to consider. Also, sometimes the analogies are just too much, or too silly, or too … something. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Having short episodes is a good choice. I hope we get some science soon, historical biography just isn’t what I thought this podcast was.

Easy and fun to listen to. Cool information. Easy to understand. Rick, you don’t have to say your “r”s you’ll still sound great!

    interesting and enjoyable
the episodes are very interesting and the content is explained in a easy to understand yet intriguing way.

    Interesting
A concise, well spoken review of portions of evolutionary theory for exactly what it is...a deep-seated religious view grounded in a faith beyond science, logic, or reason. Hopefully some day science will be honest enough to discard such a stupid idea. But the podcast covers it well.

    Paleontologist approved
I worked as a micro-paleontologist for 25 years. This is the most enjoyable podcast I’ve listened to. Well done and thank you!!

Great series covering the theory of evolution
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for putting in the time to make a quality but simple podcast about evolution.

    Quality podcast!
This is the exact kind of podcast I’ve been looking for to listen to while I work in a research lab. Short, digestible episodes, each with a simple and compelling thesis. I love the combination of biography and evolutionary concepts. I’m looking forward to getting caught up!

    An absolute must listen!
This is by far the best podcast on evolution. Rick is a talented teacher and packs so much information into such a little amount of time. I have learned so much from this podcast. If you have questions about evolution, Rick has answers. Get to know the true Charles Darwin and how much humanity is indebted to his curious and brilliant mind. Thanks for such an eye opening podcast, Rick!

    Great ideas, frustrating delivery
The distracting background music and often repetitive/vague style of delivery make it difficult to enjoy the material.

    Love the podcast but...
I love the podcast. Great stuff. I am an evolutionary anthropologist. I would love to hear more women speakers on here! There are so many excellent women in science.

Good topics -- Grammar needs work
I'd love to give this podcast 5 stars, but the presenter's grammar goofs cannot be swept under the rug. The main complaint I have is that he says things like "to you and I" and "involving you and I." Apparently, some misguided teacher convinced him to banish "me" from his vocabulary! News Flash: The objective case is still allowed for objects of prepositions and verbs.

Better on history than on evolutionary process...
.. but I do enjoy this podcast. Coste is not an evolutionary biologist—just a regular guy doing his best to explain things to other regular persons in terms that are easily understood. As an evolutionary biologist I find a maddening stumble from time to time, but in my car no one can hear me yell. ;-)

    Another great podcast
Evolution Talk is one of the best podcasts that I’m listening to now. I would also highly recommend Rick’s previous podcast Philosophy Walk to anyone interested in philosophy.

    Filling a void
This podcast enjoyably fills a void in the science genre. How about adding some interviews with scientists? Would also enjoy hearing about the "news" in evolution today. Thanks for doing this.

    Very grateful!
This is a great podcast for those who are on the go but want to learn more in-depth about evolution. It never gets too heady to understand and the shorter length of the episodes doesn't make it feel overwhelming. The podcast also does a magnificent job teaching the history behind many of the people who helped birth the ideas and theories that led to understanding evolution and brings these historical figures to life which helps to make one feel connected to them, so they are no longer just a name on a page in a history book. Thank you, Rick Coste for all that you do and please continue!

    Evolution Talk
I am working on a master’s at U.C.I in evolution., but I am already a biology teacher for high school. This is a great podcast because it communicates essentials about evolution in a succinct, friendly, interesting, and understandable way. I will be using some of these podcasts for my high school students especially the one on Genetic Drift, Darwin’s Bulldog, and The Anthropocene. Highly listenable, entertaining, and informative. Thanks for creating and sharing this podcast with the world!!!

This is one of my favorite podcasts!!
This is a great podcast. Well put together and in great order. I looked for a podcast on evolution that had the right feel and luckily I happened onto Evolution Talk. I started from the beginning and have listened intently to every episode, sometimes going back and listening again. It has been an excellent addition to my education while on commutes and daily preparations. Thank you Rick! Keep up the good work!

    Great Production
Rick -- just stopping by to say "Thank you" for a great production you provide. Enjoy your research, music, and bringing out the specifics for each topic you cover. Keep moving forward!
  • MmmmWaffles
    Definitely worth listening to!
This is a short and sweet podcast that is really beginning to hit it's stride. Expands meaningfully on evolution and related concepts, and never overstays it's welcome - it's always just enough. Definitely one of my favorites!

    Bite sized, informative and fun
Rick you do a fantastic job of distilling a big subject into delicious bites. Just perfect for a short commute or an accompaniment to my lunch break. Look forward to each episode. Started supporting you on Patreon today!

    Great!!
This is a great podcast that I listen to all the time. Great production, and very informative. I highly recommend this.
  • samwrites2000
    Love it!
Topics are a great mix between history and biology, the show is well produced (I love the famous "guest speakers" like Darwin ;), and the length is perfect for a short commute. Really enjoying this!
  • Wolvenwood
Excellent primer on many aspects of evolution.
I really enjoy the take the host has on evolution, especially on the history of the theory throught the last couple centuries, and even back to ancient times.
  • Chastity White Rose
    Just what I needed.
I grew up christian and was discouraged from learning about learning about evolution. I am such a total animal that it interests me to know how I am related to the other animals! It's also cool that Rick Coste is doing it since he is able to say a lot in a short amount of time. It's similar to his show Philosophy Walk in that the average person can enjoy it!

    Fantastic podcast
Rick does an excellent job of not only describing the details of evollution but also goes into many of the side stories that have led to our understanding.
