Dan Lane - if you're reading this, please bring on guests who've tackled the current high interest and high price real estate environment. The content is getting increasingly irrelevant with most landlords having bought during a much more favorable time. While we want to celebrate their success, there are few clues left with regards to how to now achieve that success.

Great podcast if you already own a lot of rentals or want to hear success stories from those that do. The show's tagline is "interviews with today's top landlords" and in a way, the show absolutely delivers this. However: the show's content is increasingly irrelevant for beginners getting started in current market conditions. There's only so much we can learn from people who accumulated inventory during a historic minima of both prices and interest rates and are sitting on 100-300% appreciation in the last several years as fuel for expanding their empires. If you own 0 properties and are staring down high rates and prices, there isn't much to learn here apart from "find deals" (and have the cash, knowledge, ground team etc. to make them work). That reality isn't the podcast's fault - it's just the market. The podcast will fall short over the next year or two, however, if it doesn't lean heavily into this new reality and find landlords who have gotten started (and been successful) since conditions have gotten more challenging. We should be seeing the first success stories of 2022, 2023 here shortly. What strategies are working, what mistakes were made? So much more to learn from new entrants in the last year IMO than tired stories from 5, 10, 15 years ago that all sound pretty much the same (and have as much to do with no-longer-relevant market conditions / strategies as anything else). What is a top landlord? Is it someone who became successful during the best time in recent history to get into real estate? Or is it someone who got started and is making things work when the market is hard? The show offers so much of the former, and could use more of the latter as these stories materialize IMO.

Dan is a great storyteller. He balances the need-to-know details within each podcast guest’s story without losing the narrative. He asks informative and insightful questions of his guests to draw out the most helpful industry insights so all real estate investors feel informed. In episode 432, he highlights that an Appreciation Investment and a Cash Flow Investment can bring different benefits depending upon your market. He also emphasizes that the long game is always better within real estate. He has great insights for his listeners, whether you are someone just starting out or someone, who is seasoned in real estate, looking for that nugget of wisdom.

I have been listening to the Rental Income Podcast now for 4 years. I always seem to pick up at least 1 takeaway weekly. Thanks again Dan for finding great landlords to interview.

Dan really knows his stuff and it shows through the guests he brings on, questions he asks and advice he gives! This show covers the whole range of ways to invest in real estate. I can’t recommend this show enough!

Dan’s show provides real testimonies from regular mom & pop’s who invest in real estate. Down to earth approach with some amazing guests sharing what they’ve done to accomplish financial freedom. Best show I listen to because I relate more. Thanks Dan for producing the show.

The people brought on have great stories to share and I learn from them a lot. But Dan’s questions and comments are so poor, and sometimes even detrimental to the quality of the podcast. He doesn’t let his guest finish a sentence. Asks questions that are irrelevant or obtuse, and comments are insensitive. He really lacks the set of conversation - which is too bad because his guests have so much to teach us.

Another Great show Dan, I really connect with Steve’s Finacial self discipline it is very similar to my real estate investment plan and his idea of renting condos is great, you have one of the Top real estate podcasts on the market, keep up with bringing great guests and topics that any investor can fund value in

I really like this podcast. Dan Lane is super positive about rentals and the great things people can accomplish. Dan understands that their are many viable business models with rentals. Very inspirational. Technically this podcast is very professional. The audio is crisp, clear, and sound level remains constant. Very fun listen.

We are about a year out from starting our rental income adventure. Most podcasts I've tried to listen to are about selling methods. They sounds more like a sales pitch and the instagram version of investing in rentals. This podcast is great bc you hear from regular and super investors. What works for them, how they started, how they maintain, obstacles, etc. Keep it up.
