    Best Podcast online!
I look forward to listening to every audio trip down WDW memory lane! So many memories and love the research and heart put into each episode.

    Love the show
Great shows as always. Any chance you guys can do an episode about “Meet the World”? I know it was never at Disneyworld but it was intended for Epcot all the way up until it almost opened and they decided to just ship all the sets and animatronics to Tokyo instead. It is a very Epcot-esque attraction and shared striking similarities to the American Adventure.

Does Brian get paid by the word?
For the most part an excellent podcast. My only gripe is it seems as if Brian talks as much as the other three hosts combined. You don’t always need to use 50 words to say something that could be said with 5

The Gold Standard for WDW History Pods
These guys set the bar. The monthly episodes are insightful and funny and most importantly never boring. The hosts have been together a long time and it shows in their banter during the podcast. I love when they go off on tangents unrelated to the topic at hand only to bring it back full circle. They do the research and you can’t help but like them and their fun episodes.

    The Best
With my first visit to WDW being 1975 this podcast takes me back to a simpler time. The best historical stories. And deep dives into what Disney is today.

Love the show but one thing…
I love this podcast. I have been going through every episode the last couple of months!! So much great information! One thing I have some constructive criticism about. I am not an audio engineer, but there seems to be some leveling issues going on. Specially when Todd is talking. Todd tends to enunciate at the start of sentences and then fades into whispering. I am constantly having to turn the audio up and down when he talks as the rest of the hosts are louder and clear.

    Love it!
While the majority of the episodes I’ve listened to discuss WDW before I ever visited, I love hearing about the resort’s past. I also appreciate the team’s sense of humor. I still chuckle thinking about the discussion of how fast CoP spins and what the long term effects of repeated centripetal force would have on the internal organs of our favorite house guest, Uncle Orville. 😂

    To Pod we Must
I wrote this approximately (18) months ago and forgot to send it… 🚧 I have just finished your first podcast. The content and panel were excellent. Looking forward to full mental immersion into the entire catalog. Your website of restored Disney themed home movies and press releases is brilliant. I quickly found a clip of Herb Ryman, my favorite imagineer. I’m a Fine Art Painter and Ryman was a big influence on my work. Herb died before I had discovered him, so I never had a chance to contact him. That clip is first video/audio of Ryman that I have come across. It never occurred to me to look for such a thing. Certainly the closest I’ll come to meeting the man. Special thanks for that one. - Side bar, did you ever get video of the Polynesian Resort wave machine working? Until we pod again… BRAVADOPAINT

    Fun and very well done.
I really enjoy the format of this podcast. I have tried many WDW and DL podcasts and by far this is the most professional. Started with picking coverage of my favorite attractions (Haunted Mansion, Horizons, etc.) now I’m going through all of the episodes.

    My favorite
By far my favorite Disney podcast! So much nostalgia!!

    Have They Given Up?
Excellent podcast about Retro Disney World that often gets in the weeds. Perhaps that’s why they haven’t done a true show since September. If you are looking for regular content about the Disney Parks this is not the place to go.
  • EasyD
    Must listen!
Simply put, the best, most engaging Disney podcast.

Please finish the end of your sentences!
I really appreciate the research that goes into these episodes and the info presented. However I can no longer listen to the episodes because the main host (and sometimes the others) drops the end of sentences…he trails off at the end of his sentences and gets very quiet and almost mumbles them. It’s very hard to hear and follow the conversation when that happens. It isn’t as much of an issue when listening wi headphones or earbuds but when I’m in the car or anywhere else that might be noisy, forget it, because we lose half of what’s being said. Please complete your sentences and speak clearly into the mic!

    Such nice boys
I am a mom and a healthcare worker and I haven’t had more than a day or two off since March; I really look forward to this podcast because it reminds me of happier times at Disney. They also have a lovey you tube channel.

It does not get better than this!
The work these gentlemen put in is so valuable. They are so important to Disney history…I honestly think they do more for preserving Disney history than DISNEY does. Please keep going. And check them out on YouTube! Amazing stuff.

    Must-Listen for WDW History Fans
If you find yourself a WDW history fan reading blogs and books - this is absolutely the podcast for you! The episodes are rich in detail and extremely well researched. The hosts know their stuff! They are also now a real-world organization helping preserve the history of WDW, which is incredible. Casual fans will find value here as well. Find an episode on a subject that really interests you already and I guarantee you will become a fan of this show. Thank you Retro WDW team!

    My favorite Disney-related podcast
This podcast is the one I look forward to the most. When I see a new one post, I can’t wait to pop in my EarPods and listen! The production quality is great and the historical information is fascinating. It instantly takes me back to earlier visits to WDW. Great show guys! Don’t ever stop!
  • djmikegs
    long live retro!
thorough and complete retro Disney talk, be it attractions, music, resorts of anything related. these guys are great!!
  • Farmercv
    Love this podcast, but…..
I love the topics in this podcast. I have 2 critiques however. The first is the length of most of the episodes….. over 2 hours! That’s very long! I’ve got lots of other podcasts I listen to and over 2 hours an episode really backs things up. The second is PLEASE stop eating and drinking and making smacking sounds while you are recording! This is not some ASMR thing and it’s disgusting. I’ve unsubscribed from a few other podcasts for this reason.
  • winniebee04
    Love this podcast!
So so informative and great topics! I truly enjoy the work these guys put in to creating a great podcast.

    Always Outstanding
Started early March and now caught up. Right from the preview episode to the latest one, always entertaining, treasure trove of information, love when you guys go into the weeds! I’m in re-runs on your show until the next episode drops, can’t wait!

    Sad I’m caught up
Frankly couldn’t listen to Disney pods after the shutdown last year. Saw yours mentioned on a Facebook page as good for historical information. Checked out episode one and was hooked. Sad to say I am up-to-date. You’ve been my saving grace for the last 8 months.
  • EPCOT Center fan82
    For serious WDW fans
Great information. Detailed topics presented in a fun and energetic manner. Just wish wasn’t a once-a-month podcast! They grew up when I did and give great respect to the 70s and 80s attractions, especially EPCOT Center.

    Best Disney History
Absolutely love this podcast, recently found them and love listening to them while I am working! Absolutely love how they keep current events to a minimum and just stick to the subject of the show! Keep up the great work!

    Retro-fun
I started listening a little while back and getting caught up was so sad because now I have to wait a whole month for a new episode. The guys have great information and a good format.
  • SydEDisneyFan
    Love this podcast
I recently found this podcast last month and have been going through the archives to listen from the beginning. The episodes are very well done, are fascinating, funny, and something I look forward to. The episodes have brought back lots of fond memories of my time in the parks while I was growing up. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who enjoyed the first 20 years of Disney World.

    One of the Best
I have a few theme park history and news show I listen to. This monthly podcast is one I never miss and listen almost the second it comes out. The host are very informative and do their due diligence to pass on correct information.

    Throwback Fun
The work that the guys at RetroWDW do is fantastic. They go the extra distance (then a couple steps further) to gather information on the most oscure of topics. Along the way is always discover another great story. They really don't have to, but they do, and I appreciate all their hard work.
  • AmyBird78
    Best Disney Parks Podcast
I miss the Walt Disney World that I remember from when I was a kid. This is the best podcast to help with that problem. Listen to the podcast and take a look at the pictures on the website!

I listen to a lot of Disney content but this is my absolute favorite!

    Interesting, Educational, & Hilarious
This podcast is AWESOME!!! I discovered it in mid 2019 and I’ve been binging it during my morning commute for the last couple months. The gang is roughly my age and remember WDW the way I remember and love it. I love hearing about how our favorite WDW places were developed, and I remembering the ones we lost. 10/10 guys. Great work. Dewey
  • ItsMisterEric
    Hard to listen to!
I like the content but find this very difficult to listen to. The audio volume isn’t leveled well. Constantly turning my volume up and down. One host will be speaking softly and the next persons voice will be VERY loud and startling.
  • RoxyRogue
    My favorite podcast by far!
Favorite podcast! As soon as it shows up in my feed, I try to listen right away. These 4 are truly capturing that retro WDW feeling I miss so much AND bringing forward so many little details that I almost taste the handwiches! 🤣
  • sfcaguy

    A Masterclass In Disney History
This is how you do a history show. Well-researched, thorough, informative, and entertaining. Make sure you check their website for some of the best restored photos and videos you’ll ever see.

    Wow!

I enjoy listening! Can’t get enough of these podcasts
Listening to these guys talk about the old days at Walt Disney World is awesome. I feel like I am part of the conversation sometimes and can relate to so many things they are discussing. I have just started listening about a month or two ago so I am still catching up but I look forward to the next episode as soon as one ends. I have been visiting WDW since 1977 as a child and have been a pass holder since 1998. I’ve watched so much come and go. I want to thank you guys for stirring up my old memories and remembering a better time at the parks. I sure miss the park from the 70’s and 80’s. The parks and resorts have lost so much of its soul these days.

    Bringing Back Childhood Memories
I absolutely love this Podcast. Great historical tidbits about rides and celebrations at Disney World. For those of us who starting going to the parks a long time ago, it will bring back memories of how you remember the parks. I can see the parks in my mind as the guys describe how things were in the parks. I miss so many of the rides that once were, but it is almost like I am there again listening to this. Great memories and great fun listening to the episodes. Can’t get enough!
  • Lothma2
    My favorite Disney Podcast
I started listening when they put out a Communicore episode, as I am a huge Epcot fan. I love listening to the history of rides that I miss and even some that I never got to experience. I agree with the comments that the episodes are too short at an hour because they still seem to fly by. I hope to attend a future Epcot event like the one they did for Epcot 35. Keep up the good work!

    Best Disney Podcast Out There!
The guys here really dive deep into the details of Walt Disney World history. A must listen for any fan of the way it used to be. It's made so interesting by the 4 different perspectives and experiences. I just wish it was more often than once a month :)
  • Buccaneerfilms
    Awesome
    New favorite podcast!!!!
  • Julielizabet
    Meh
I listen to many WDW podcasts. This one is just ok. They try, but overall I find it boring and overly drawn out. If the content of most episodes were edited down to a half-hour (which could be done pretty easily if they cut down on the banter and listener voicemails), it would be more enjoyable. I just unsubscribed. If your time is limited, there are other podcasts out there that cover the same things and produce a superior product. Wedway Radio is one of them.
  • Bill 1986
    Great job guys!
Very nostalgic podcast. Love hearing about 1960’-1980’s WDW! Great attention to details.

    Chest of Drawers
I’m pretty new to this podcast but it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. I thoroughly the dry humor of the hosts, as well as the overall NPR-meets-Disney vibe (I mean that in the best way possible! I love NPR!). Definitely subscribe to this podcast if you’re looking to relive the nostalgia of WDW.
  • Uncle_jessie
    Great stroll down memory lane...
I really enjoy this podcast, a refresh from some of the others that focus on current events and the news of the day. It brings me back to what WDW used to be when it didn’t feel overloaded every day and you could enjoy a stroll through the parks without having to plan for every minute in excruciating detail. The only small advice I would provide is the audio could be improved - I often listen to podcasts while traveling in the car and even at full volume I miss a lot. I am not an audio guy but maybe a new microphone would help?? Keep up the great work!
  • Lisaloveszoe
Thanks for bringing the magic back!
This podcast reminds me of the Disney of my childhood. I drag my kids to all of the retro attractions because to me, the ❤️ of Disney is still there. Thanks for all that you do to share your insights and research —please keep it up!
  • ToasterBoy
    Amazing.
This is One of my favorite podcast of all time. I listen to it pretty much the moment it comes out. If I had to give any sort of critique I would say that it does not come out often enough and the episodes are too short! Yes, the over hour long episodes are too short. I could listen to them all day.
