Jim and Eric always provide a great experience covering DC Comics. They consistently add humor to each discussion which heightens the podcast. I always enjoy their honesty as well. They call out the comics that are of poor quality but also are quick to praise the books that are good. A great comics podcast.

If you want honest and entertaining conversations on comics and the surrounding culture this is the show for you. Jim, Eric, and the crew are funny and passionate about the books but call it like it is and criticise what deserves it which I've found to be lacking on most other shows and reviews. True breath of fresh air. Since starting I've joined the Patreon and the vast amount of additional shows is worth every penny. Only flaw for me is being a Marvel Unlimited and DC Univserse reader I have to patiently live in the past episodes but the first thing I do after reading my new issues of the week dive right into the latest episode discussing those issues. Thanks guys and keep up the amazing show!

I wrote out a negative review before, but my original review was tainted by a week long migraine. After today’s show I have to say my only complaint is the talking over each other. I love the depths that you both can break down a comic and actually explain what happened and why you got “the feels” you do. I may not agree with every thing you say, but I respect the ability you both have to express those views.

I love this podcast! I have been listening since Rebirth and it just keeps getting better. Jim and Eric don’t fake anything and while most DC Podcasts force positivity to look good, you can trust them about the books. Love it!

Weird Science is an awesome look into the world of DC comics. DC is in a bit of an intreresting time right now from (at least a movie perspective) so it's great having a show that can really go into what's going on.

This podcast is all about not faking it. Their book reviews are honest and from the heart. Whether a book is good or bad, they’ll let you know about it. Jim, Eric, Brandon and all the guys tell you all about the writers and artists and who is good or bad and why. Not only are they educators, they are also entertainers. It feels like I’m listening to my friends talk about the weekly books. There are lots of jokes, funny insults, song parodies, and funny family stories. I really enjoy their entire lineup.

Weird Science is the best DC podcast not just because they rate and review every DC comic out there. Not just because they bring a level of entertainment that is unheard of on other podcasts. Not just because they speak the hard truths about comics and give their opinions and don’t fake the funk. They’re the best because they have established a community and a family. The Get Fresh Crew is a place of friendship and acceptance, no matter who you are or where you come from. When I listen to the podcast it feels like I’m listening to a good friend tell me what they think about comics. Jim, Eric, Reggie and the rest of the GFC work really hard to give the people what they want and for all of these reasons, you should listen to this podcast.

The Weird Science DC Comics Podcast is a perfect blend of comics and nonsense. You’ll pay for the whole seat, but you’ll only need the edge. The only reason I can’t give a perfect 10 is because then Eric Stray will quit, and Jim Verner does enough solo work on his Marvel podcast. Seriously though, this show is great, and you don’t even have to be a huge comics fan to get enjoyment out of it. Which isn’t to say their comics knowledge is lacking, because nothing could be further from the truth. After all, America’s Sweetheart has been reading comics his whole life. Boosh.

Weird Science DC Comics hinges on passion for all things in DC fandom. It balances the mix of criticism, discussion, and fan joy perfectly. The hosts are engaging and fun to listen to and as a fan myself, I really appreciated their conversations. This is a perfect show to put on during a drive or in the office. They also spend a lot of time going through each book and explain why they like or not like it. They don’t talk down to anyone (but themselves) and have a ton of fun. I’ve been listening for a few months now and love the podcast. It’s very thorough and the guys actually discuss the books. I’m not reading anything current but feel like I’m up to speed on everything DC because of the podcast. I don’t mind the long format at all. I’m by myself a lot at my job and can listen at work. I find the guys honest, not critical. I also find the podcast extremely funny. I love Jim’s Batman voices, and his monotone reading of some lame dialogue. I really look forward to the podcast every week. Keep up the good work!!

I knew this guy Eric back in his he day. had very small hands, which was always off putting. Also, constantly pawed at his crotch, like a simpleton trying to crack a jar of honey. But otherwise an alright guy. Tried listening to the pod, but it’s apparently 7hours long, so only made it thru about 1/8. Do a review of the Joker teaser please. Love always, Stan.

This is a great podcast that goes through all the DC titles that come out each week. That is a lot of books. The hosts are gratuitous enough to provide everyone with time stamps. If your a person who doesn’t have time to listen to all the wacky crazy jokes and and sound board clips I suggest you use them. This maybe be a podcast that can go over ten hours but if you hang out and listen to all the fan/friends/family participation you will become part of the Get Fresh Crew Poop Poop

The show is well made and the hosts have great banter. The entertainment and information is high. My problem is that I only buy 4 comics a month and 2 of them are Batman and Mister Miracle. This show is clearly not a fan of half the books I buy, and I don’t agree with their criticism. I would listen to learn more about other books but i don't have 7 to 10 goddamn hours to listen to a single episode. That’s just insane.

This one’s got all the stuff you need to effectively ignore your co-workers an entire workday! Jokes, rage, naughty words, song parodies, and a big ol’ deep-dive into the weekly offerings from DC Comics! If you’re a sad, old Willyfive-esque church-lady, this program’s probably not for you. But if you like angry scamps like Jim & Eric along with a healthy dose of fart-jokes, then check out WSDC!

Better and more devoted than most. Opinions are given yeah but they go over the comics panel by panel most times and describe what's happening which is what I want more than how someone feels about something. Thanks for all the hours you put in gentlemen. Love the pod.

These guys are definitely putting up an act in being overly dramatic. The foul language makes you sound childish. There are much better podcasts to get your DC news fix. Look elsewhere.

Best dc comic podcast.. hands down... funny and insightful.. jim and america's sweetheart (eric) are fantastic.. their supporting cast is a bit uneven, but the boys keep it movin... this is my 14 hour a week, podcast, fix..

These lovable rascals are devoting a good portion of their lives to this podcast. The least we can do is devote a portion of ours listening to it. Even though I've never met them, they seem like friends I used to hang out with. Somewhere along the way you also get some in depth DC comics reviews, but honestly that's not keeps me listening, it's the banter and Everyman vibe. There are no airs being put on here and I love it.

This is a go to podcast for me. One of the most knowledgeable group of guys in the world of comics.

If you like long rambling diatribes, vile language, and DC comics, and have an extra 10-12 hours/week, this is the show for you. I can credit the Weird Science guys with getting me back into D.C. and in many ways reigniting my love (and hate) for modern comic books. Seriously, check it out!

this has become my favorite podcast. With the episode times now clocking in at 10 hours or more each, it's enough to keep me entertained all week at work. Jim and Eric bring the only podcast you need if you want to know all about DC comics, and the only comics podcast I listen to anymore. I just want to be the the first review of 2017. I started listening about a year ago to catch up on what is happening in the DC universe and have kept up ever since. Each week Jim and Eric read listener mail, listen to rants and raves, and bring us news, comic reviews, and other nonsense. It's like sitting around talking to your friends. Add to that some comics history from Reggie and Chris. I'd recommend this to DC comics readers with a sense of humor.

If you want a realistic quote for your Trade blurb this is the place. These guys review and consume every DC comic, issue by issue, as they come out. SO SHALL IT BE! SO IS HOW IT WILL ALWAYS BE! If your a comics creator and what to know what real people think listen. We love ya these guys are here to help. If you want your ego stroked go somewhere else

Don't get to the comic book store nearly as often as I used to (bc of kids), but when I do, I always check with these guys FIRST to see what's worth my $$. Good dudes, GREAT podcast!!!

Jim and America's sweetheart: The best part of this podcast is the length, I mean 7-12 hours of pure nonsense, picking on Eric (out of love?), awesome reviews (Actual reviews), and showing your fans how much you care. Also, all dressed chips are amazing... thank you Jim for eating them on air now I'm addicted. Eric... Boosh. And Reggie, thank you for doing Young Animals, I have now picked up all of those covers now.

For a long time I had difficulty finding a comic book podcast that felt honest and genuine. Most podcasts on this subject consist of fan boys full of fluff. Jim and Eric conversely are great, honest hosts who give entertaining opinions and breakdowns of literally every DC book released each week. The length of this show seem intimidating at first but once I started listening time flew by. If you enjoy fun casual banter this podcast has you covered. If you just want to get straight to the comic talk this podcast is helpfully time stamped to let you know exactly when to skip to in order to find what you're looking for. Since I've been listening to Weird Science I've actually found myself purchasing more weekly comics so that I can read along with these guys and hear their opinions. The fact that I'm willing to spend extra money on comics I normally wouldn't so that I can listen to Jim, Eric and sometimes Reggie speak about them should speak as a recommendation in its own right. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fully encompassing and honest DC comic book podcast to sink many many hours into.

This show is great for keeping up on the stories through the DC comic universe so you don't miss out on what you can't afford to buy. Jim and Eric give it to you straight and don't hold back. If they love it they love, but if they hate it they will let you know why. Very entertaining and good amount of news and extras. A MUST listen for DC fans!!!!

I've always been a big fan of DC comics and I discovered this podcast about a year ago. All of the previous podcasts I listened to spent way too much time talking about what they did that week instead of talking about the meat and potatoes: the weekly comic books. Jim, Eric, and the rest of the Get Fresh Crew do a great job of mixing in their critique of the weekly comics with semi-relevant side stories that are always comical. Some may call it potty humor but I call it pure comics podcast gold. They do a great job of pointing out the weird, funny, and obscure parts of comic book issues, which is always interesting. If you are a fan at all of DC comics or laughing really hard, do yourself a favor and check out one of their podcasts. Don't be intimidated by how long their podcasts are. Even if you skip around, you'll be sure to find a funny story, anecdote, or critical review of a comic detailing points that you won't hear on any other podcast.
