homunculus88Pure gold for Tintin fansThis podcast brought me so much joy and lifted me out of the pandemic blues. I grew up reading the books over and over until they literally fell apart from wear. I had pulled out my surviving volumes after unpacking from a move, and wondered what Tintin podcasts were out there. I was delighted to find this - it was love at first listen (for the record, I adore the theme music!!). The commentary is immensely engaging, hilarious and informative. Felt I was sitting around chatting with two good friends about these beloved works of art. I was inspired to order the full box set of Tintin books and read through them all again. I don’t know that I’ve ever enjoyed a podcast this much. Thank you David and Ian, you have done a great service for Tintin fanatics everywhere!!!!

martine vandezandeInformative & entertaining!Such an in-depth look into each Tintin volume. I love hearing about the back-story of Herge's process and the environment in which he produced his work. Ian & David offer humorous & thoughtful insight. Its the podcast I've always wanted...thanks for making it!

K NikolasSeven StarsThis show is absolutely fantastic and is filled with well thought out context of Hergé’s journey and transformation as he developed Tintin and friends. The historical tidbits have helped me to better understand the mindset, discussions and perils he had to face in his life while the Tintin adventures were maturing. I really appreciate that David is constantly comparing the French publications to the English Translations. Ian is especially adds a lot of great insight as a new reader. As a team, Ian and David share great chemistry as hosts and prove their authority in writing, story dynamic and comic layout. Thanks guys for a seven star show!

The_BalmI've been waiting for a podcast like thisFantastic podcast! I've been hoping for a Tintin podcast for quite some time and it's better then I could have imagined. I've learned a lot from all the great behind the scenes info. Super detailed, great hosts, in-depth backstory of Hergé and how the comics were made and of course Tintin. What more could you ask for? If you're a Tintin fan, listen to this podcast.

earthimmigrantAn Amazing FeatI have a confession: I've never liked comics. I respect them, but they make my head hurt. But Ian and Dave are so much fun that I am now eagerly awaiting each new episode of this podcast so I can go along with them on Tintin and Snowy's wild adventures. They discuss the backstory, history, controversy, and that ever important context (little callback to Compleatly Beatles there) of each compiled book, as well as commenting on the art, plot, and variations between versions of each story. I can't wait to see where we go next!
