    Book writing masterclass
Loved your conversation with Charlie Hoehn. I felt like I was listening to a masterclass on how to write and market a book. Charlie provided tremendous value they anyone who is an author or who aspires to be an author can use.

    The Gap and the Gain
Hey Shane, Your most recent podcast with Ryan Holiday you mentioned about being focused on this gap of achievement. There is actually a great book about that called the gap and the gain by Dan Sullivan and Dr Benjamin Hardy. I highly recommend. I love Ryan Holiday. You introduced me to Matthew Dicks and after listening to his story telling podcast with you I sat down and wrote a story in 40 minutes flat. It was awesome. Thanks so much for the awesome podcast. Also I wouldn’t be able to consume every week so every other week is also perfect for your audience. Keep on keeping on!

#192 Todd Herman: Unleashing Your Secret Identity
📣 These are my favorite takeaways! 📣 1: There are specific core drivers that shape how you show up in the world. You must continue to ask yourself are they true or do we need to revise them! 2: The key to performance is focus! The difference between an elite client vs a great client. The elite add meaning into their activities! These leaders always ask themselves where is this taking me and is it aligned with my goals 3: Remember visualization is a skill. We all can learn and strengthen that skill. 4: When you set a goal, don’t set a goal to the goal, set a goal through the goal! 5: Curate an imagination that includes an alter ego! Create rituals that move you through the journey and show up as your alter ego! Rituals are where routine meets storytelling! #LeadLoudly #bold #courageous #leadership

I recently discovered The Knowledge Project and have been consistently impressed by the depth of insights and knowledge shared in each episode. No matter the subject - you’re guaranteed to gain something from the conversations between Shane and his incredible guests. Highly recommend tuning in!

    Great content, annoying gender bias
I really like this podcast, the conversations, the guests, the wisdom being shared. So the recurring gender bias that high performers, CEOs, are all men just gets pretty annoying. I've noticed it from both the host and guests (both male and female guests) that when they're talking about high performers they're calling them "dads & husbands". It can get a little frustrating to hear as a woman who is trying to do great things, especially when the conversation is also around stories that don't serve us and limiting mindsets.

Episode 69 with Jim Detmer is brilliant !!!!
Yes that is three exclamation marks. Episode 60 is maybe the best podcast I have heard. For business. For personal. For life. He refers to: the Buddha; The Four Agreements; Radical Transparency; effective leadership; healthy relationships; death & grief. I added listening to this recurring annually to my calendar.

    Fantastic host, great guests!
Recently came across the Knowledge Project podcast and am really enjoying it! The episode with visionary Nathan Myhrvold about his journey and working for Microsoft, taking a leave to go to chef school in France, was so fascinating. So many amazing takeaways from him! Can't wait to listen to more episodes! Thank you!

    Enjoy the guests, but…
Shane regularly speaks over the guests and tries to show off a bit. Yes, you’re smart too, but we’d rather hear from the guest, whose insights and stories are new, rather than from you, whose insights are repeated almost weekly. Please allow your guest to shine more, and share their knowledge.

    Jack Kornfield
Thank you, Shane, for the discussion with Jack Kornfield. I always enjoy your show but this one really stood out for me. You have such a great way of interviewing people and asking interesting and leading questions. Plus adding your own thoughts makes for conversations worth listening to, not just Q & A. Sending gratitude for you and Mr. Kornfield.

    Great info and interviews but…
Quality podcast, but audio is poor. Have it on full volume and still miss sections. Have not had that problem with any of the other podcasts I follow. Speak up and keep up the good work😊

    So much value and wisdom!
I’ve been listening to TKP for a while now. True to its name, there’s so much we can learn from the people Shane speaks with, all of them from a wide variety of backgrounds. So interesting and enriching! And Shane is an excellent host, he seems to know exactly what wisdom to nudge out of his guests, allowing them to flow comfortably. He shows us that being a really good listener is one of the superpowers of a great podcast host. ☺️ Thank you TKP. Keep the wisdom flowing. — Susmitha Veganosaurus

    Truncated episodes
I can’t express enough how a truncated episode is a terrible model. Monetization is important, but if you truly understood customer experience you wouldn’t engage in a practice that is expressly designed to be psychologically manipulative. Be clear and straightforward: adds, or special members only episodes, etc. Do a customer journey.

Degrading over time and cuts off for non subscribers
Quality of the guests has decreased with time. Has also become much more commercial with a long prelude about all you are missing out by not subscribing and now cuts off the interview at the end if you are not a paid subscriber.
  • MKULTRA83
    Blind over privileged people
Giving useless advice completely disconnected from their privilege and subsequent lethargic minds and bodies. Advice such as just disconnecting and go to your lake house or farm. These people are truly evil and blind to their evil. Such is capitalism.

Marshall Goldsmith, while extremely self-satisfied, had an enormous amount of value to add. Unfortunately I could not play this episode in its entirety because the lipsmacking was so intense. I know that sounds insane, but some people will relate to this 100%. It’s unbearable. Editors, please take a note…

    Love the TKP Insight episodes!
Just listened to #140, well edited and organized thoughts. Thank you!

    Loved the Marshall Goldsmith episode
I did not want this interview with Marshall Goldsmith to end. Such valuable advice backed up by real life stories. I will definitely play this one again and take notes so I can remember everything. Dr.Goldsmith has written many books gleaned from coaching executives and he teaches lessons we can all use. I was so impressed by him that I just bought his latest book, The Earned Life. Can’t wait to read it. Great interview questions Shane. You always do a comprehensive and entertaining podcast. Thanks!

    Kanal Shah statistics and facts
I thought what he had to say was interesting but a lot of what he said didn’t quite seem right—Indians don’t read, only 6% women work etc. neither of these were true which made me question everything he said. I know he wants to prove a point but it’s more nuanced than he made it seem.

    Fast becoming my favorite podcast
Shane has the best guests and asks the best questions. I learn so much by listening! Thanks for doing this!😎 RC

I love how Shane articulate his questions and how usually one give a nice Segway into the other.

Balaji is extremely smart but I didn’t get anything to take with me. But normally - excellent show.

    Don’t miss EP 133
Ep #133 with Andrew Huberman was one of the best all around “health and wellness” episodes I have heard on any show since I started listening to podcasts. Hyper informative, with lots of detail, and applicable ideas. Highly recommended!

Excellent podcast, and I always LEARN something from it! Thank you!

This used to be my favorite podcast
To be honest I haven’t been listening lately. I’ve found the episodes to be unreliably enjoyable and some guest’s problematic ie Matthew Walker. I highly suggest the podcast Maintenance Phase for a comprehensive overview of the faulty and debunked science on which Matthew stakes and claims his fame. Bring back critical thinking.

    Unrealized potential
The host is earnest and tries to position himself as a interesting interviewer. It’s clear he works at it and that is the problem = the pod takes itself so seriously without delivering any real depth. The pod likely is a good match for people at the beginning of their careers.

    Love this podcast
The Diana Chapman episode was one of my favorites of all time. Thank you so much for the introduction to her work. More broadly, thank you for this podcast— it has been super influential in my life.

    Episode 124… oooof
Love this podcast and have listened to almost every episode, but the guest on 124 was horrendous. Had to stop listening halfway through. At least I know this is the outlier and hope for better guests in the future

A go to for leaning on impactful topics
For some years now the Knowledge Project podcast has been one of my go to podcasts. Most episodes present a challenge to my current thinking or introduce me to concepts to go down a rabbit hole of exploration. What I appreciate most about this podcast is its ability to share learnings & knowledge others have gained and use in a way that allows me to still find benefit from their perspective even when I don’t align with the point of view, or work, of that guest. The hardest thing for me is prioritizing what knowledge I just gained should I begin the hard work of applying to my life in a meaningful way.

    Encounter Growth Edge and Nuance
For years I thought I knew the value of listening to viewpoints different from my own. Instead, I was trying to stomach the other side of what I realize now is a contrived duopoly. “Us vs them” and I saw myself trying to listen to “them”. In reality, there is an infinite spectrum of thought. The Knowledge Project helped me discover landscapes I never knew existed, perceive situations in a fresh way, and remind me of my own agency and autonomy. I feel empowered after listening to these conversations. Thanks!

I am addicted to this podcast!
I start every morning with it, with excitement , sometimes I listen twice to episodes that are dense with ideas that I have experienced. felt like many of the guests are people who I would love to meet! Many thanks to the host :)

    Great conversations
I enjoy many of the episodes on Shane’s podcast. Today, I want to highlight one. I just listened to the conversation with Kat Cole and it encouraged me. I appreciated Shane’s questions and Kat’s humility and openness when sharing her experiences. Shane mentioned a Part Two; I look forward to hearing it and gleaning more insights.

Brian Koppelman interview was a dumpster fire
I have really enjoyed all of the lessons/podcasts but the Koppelman podcast was a REAL disappointment. I have not listened to these in order, but questioned if I should continue listening after that one.

    So Important!
I have been reading Barrett’s book on How Emotions Are Made, which is mind blowing, although dense. But listening to her makes the material so much more digestible. This is highly impactful neuroscience that I think everyone should become aware of. Thanks for the interview!

Full of so much great content!
I seriously love this content! So much to learn from and think about. The interviews are top notch and I have been an avid listener for some time. Thank you for creating such goodness for my brain to soak in while I am painting or driving.

Sometimes fabulous, sometimes not much novel wisdom
It’s tough to hit one over the fence every time, but the great ones, about 1/2 I would say, make it so worth listening to catch them. The long format is good, allows Shane to really dig in. His own experience as entrepreneur and willingness to share experiences adds a lot.
  • NiqueSr
    Marvelous!
Shane is a master at uncovering and rolling over every stone in an interview...so captivating to listen to!

    Gaming?
Had to stop listening when what was supposed to be a podcast about gaming turned into how bad schooling is. Although I am ALL about reforming schools to be more creative, empowering places and I would love to go gradeless, it is quite a luxury to be “unschooling” your kids. Let’s hep fix what’s wrong.
