This show is a daily encouragement to me. The accurate application of the scripture is so needed in a day and age where that is often ignored.

Attaching “counselor” to your name is deception
    And deception is a SIN.

I am not a counselor but interested in pursuing it. Very good conversations to help us think biblically about different issues when speaking with others. Thank you for this! It’s a blessing!

    God’s Word Is Sufficient
Understanding crisis through the eyes of Scripture places the Biblical Counselor in the competent hand of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit enabling God’s love and grace to flow into any situation of trauma and loss through that compassionate human presence. Well shared Dr. Babler!

    Biblical counseling works!
Thank you for the resource. I serve as a chaplain inside a regional jail. I would be quickly burned out in this ministry without a confidence in God’s word and regular equipping through resources like this.

    So Grateful!
God has been kindling a desire in me to become a Biblical counselor for a few years now. I recently started receiving Biblical counseling and found this podcast around the same time. I believe the fire is lit now! So grateful for this podcast! I am enjoying listening to all of the old episodes; but once I’m caught up, I will hope for more than one episode per week! God bless you for all you’re doing ACBC!!

    Great podcast!!!
I thank God that I found this podcast when I did. I am currently a nursing student who is taking Psychiatric nursing as a requirement for my degree. I have been listening to podcast episodes that deal directly with topics we are covering in class. It has really helped me to think biblically about my class content. Thank you for the work you do!!

    Great Podcast
I recently started listening to this podcast, and I really enjoy it. The biblical perspective and Truth is great. It’s so hard to find a podcast that actually speaks the Truth of God, and is biblical sound. So glad I found one!

    Useful but not deep
I was trained and certified through NANC years ago and find the information shared in this podcast to be quite biblical. Although there’s nothing in depth here, there are useful tidbits. I wish they would perhaps go a little bit deeper sometimes.

    Responding to temptation
It is clear and precise pointing out the biblical definition from James1,12-15, it comes from within not external. You helped me to understand the 3 stages of temptation and 3 steps to fight against it, ways to replace our old self! Thank you for showing us how to have hope in the scriptures. You role modeled the actual ways to counsel: pointing out the problem, support with scripture to say what and how this problem is doing to people, then the solution and hope! Thank you!

    Helpful
I've listened to almost all 200 podcasts and have found them to be helpful tidbits. Biblical counseling takes more than can be accomplished in 15 minutes, but these brief pieces give helpful pointers

    An Incredible Resource
From my undergraduate degree in Psychology (50 years ago) until today, I have sought to articulate the proper view of the inspiration and sufficiency of Scripture in relation to my role as a counselor and disciple builder in the Church. ACBC has been the primary means by which I have now been able to accomplish that.
  • ky dano
    Excellent resource
Every podcast I cue up and listen to is helpful and hopeful in helping me disciple others. The content is biblically sharp and to the point. The 15-20 min format is perfect for easy digestion and application. Thank you ACBC for continuing to carry on the mantle from Jay Adams!

Biblical Answers to Life's Toughest Questions
I'm almost through phase 1 of my training and I have already learned so much. ACBC seeks to teach believers how to provide biblical answers to tough life questions. Even during the time of my training, I have been able to come alongside hurting people and help them more thoroughly because of the biblical teaching gleaned from ACBC. This podcast has been a great added bonus to the ministry of ACBC.

    Growth
I was so glad to find the Truth in Love podcast when searching for some to increase my knowledge and practice in counseling. I am a school counselor currently working toward my LPC hours. My counseling philosophy was already biblically based but after listening to the podcast and reading some of their material I feel even more encouraged to hold a sound biblical counseling model. Thank you for your continued wisdom in practical counseling.

Teaching Us How To Apply the Bible to Every Situation
I am so refreshed by this podcast. I am a pastor's wife and am often faced with hard questions and women hurting from life (and sin). The world sends messages that brokenness cannot be healed, and that the Bible is an irrelevant guide. You do an incredible job of walking through real scenarios and teaching listeners how to apply the Bible. There is power in the Gospel and God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. I can't wait to keep learning from the Truth in Love podcast.
