    **My favorite theological podcast **
This podcast *and community* have played the biggest role in my evolution as a Jesus follower— from one who was taught to “swallow” biblical interpretation without questioning or doubts to one who is beginning to “chew” it through critical thinking and kind & curious examining of the soul. This changes everything folks ✨ Come join!

Gives me life and infuses me with hope
I probably can’t overstate what Inverse is for me at this moment. In a time when I feel like I am barely holding on to my faith, this podcast always draws out those brimming hopeful tears that sting your eyes when something is unexpectedly and breathtakingly beautiful. As I reject the misogyny and white supremacy upon which what I knew as Christianity was built, you guys are helping recover and rebuild something truly glorious.

    Always challenged and encouraged
I don’t exactly remember how I first connected to this podcast, but I am glad I did. I have found the non-violent atonement theory podcast episodes to be encouraging, challenging and helpful in my understanding of atonement. Grateful for the voices that are helping me hear a reading of scripture that is taking me forward.

must listen, hope that you follow
Inverse podcasts are incredible conversations that are more than entertaining. Listening can challenge and unsettle unconsciously upheld beliefs and make room for a sincere pursuit of following Jesus of Nazareth as we leave behind unhelpful views and assumptions of God. The community of conversation partners and listeners is a wonderful and life-giving place to belong - join us!!

    A Thousand Times Yes!
This podcast, and community, is like finding a save haven in a storm. The discussions are always challenging, enlightening, and healing. Through the conversations led by Jarrod, Dr. Drew and their guests, I’ve been able to entangle myself from so many harmful teachings. So grateful!

    What a Jesus
I'd like to say this is "thought-provoking" but it is not just that. It is soul-provoking. What if the life that Jesus has called us to when we come to follow him means more than church attendance, memorization, and staying within the four walls of our assembly halls? What if Jesus has called us to live an extraordinary life no matter our circumstances and resources? What if Jesus is not the Chief but the Servant who calls us to follow him in glorious, liberating service? Jarrod and Drew (can I be so familiar?) and their guests explore the meaning of following Jesus as something that is life-giving, liberating, joyous, and rich with meaning and purpose. For those who are wondering whether it is worth it to give all to follow him, this podcast provides tools and resources, as well as the encouragement to join with the rag-tag disciples of the one who simply said "Come, follow me."

Just Listen - You Will Be Glad You Did
The episode on restorative atonement with Mako Nagasawa was excellent. I enjoyed hearing how Tony Stark and Harry Potter fit into the picture. I’m now very curious about the Odes of Solomon, which were new to me.

    A production of community
This podcast is the work of a community of many voices listening to one another and finding God in the face of the stranger. Each conversation in the feed is one that works to decolonise the faith of Christ. The way that Dr Hart and McKenna focus on each guest story and place their theologies in a particular place is so special. In the way that it prioritises the Image of God of each person and their “God Talk” rooted in scripture and prayer —the podcast is a gem.

Soul medicine and spiritual boot camp
Every week Jarrod and Drew host guests and deliver conversations that help me discern what is healing faith and what is weaponized harmful faith. They have Christ-centered compassionate hearts which consistently celebrates the gifts of their dialogue partners. Meanwhile, they give me the spiritual, intellectual and cardiac exercise I need in order to follow Jesus with a fierce vulnerability. Bottom line: this podcast makes my heart sing!!!

Inverse invites you in to a new way of thinking
I find that space of questioning what you know to be a bit scary and uncertain. But Drew and Jarrod do an amazing job of exploring what it means to question what you were taught and how to embrace a new way of thinking. Done with love and grace and an openness for many ways of thought, the exploration of faith and what it really means to live out that faith becomes an exciting journey rather than a space of fear. They have also created and cultivated an incredible community through their podcast and Patreon subscribers. It’s one thing to talk about it, it’s another thing to live it, and live it they do.

    Relevant
The content of the discussions are thought-provoking and relevant. My hope is in discovering creative ways to “doing justice” that might fall outside the lines of institutional church-going, if that is even possible. Thank you, Jeremy and Drew!

    Essential podcast listening!
Jarrod is one of my personal faves doing work for the Kingdom these days (and I’m lucky enough to have spent a good bit of time with him over the years being a Youth pastor in Church of the Brethren). If you haven’t listened to these episodes, carve time out and do it! It’s revival on your iPhone friends - I cant endorse it enough!
