Really great podcast that gives you insights to really understand the mechanics of what the situation is in and the mechanics of the battefields that no other shows delve into. Also good that Spencer is one of the Churchills of our day that has the moral clarity to speak truth to power.

The latest episode late Nov 2023 was very enlightening and well discussed. John Spencer does a great job on Urban Warfare in general. A topic that he clearly is passionate about.

Globalization was a big topic of my business studies about 15 years ago. I realized that the globalization story was an urbanization story. While this podcast has an obvious military angle, the cross disciplinary approach makes it the best source for understanding urbanization around the globe.

I enjoy following this podcast on a bi-weekly basis but please mark the episodes if they are re-runs from before

Michael Kofman is the rock star of Russian military analysts.

This smart gentleman and scholar knows his stuff inside and out. I’m amazed with his knowledge, and you just know he has passion behind it making it enjoyable to listen. I highly recommend listening.

Make your commute a mini-LPD. Other commuters and the gate guards may become confused when they see you arguing with/concurring with your radio.

I don’t have a military background but enjoy military podcasts. John Spencer really makes the show interesting because of his obvious interest, knowledge, and excitement about the topics covered. Definitely a niche topic, but worth a listen at least once to see if it fits your fancy.

Engaging guests encompassing a wide spectrum of experts and ideas! As the world increasingly urbanizes, adapting every service including the military will become crucial. Sharing research, knowledge, experiences, and lessons learned helps create a shared understanding. Ultimately this can and has lead to more peaceful international relations.

If you want to be a relevant warrior, this is an essential exploration of modern combat.

It’s interesting material. I gave 4 stars because the host is not well spoken which makes it a bit difficult to listen to.

Interesting how much similarities between an organism/ecosystem and a city. Will be interested in more Podcasts to come. Interesting the techniques to either defend a city or cripple a city tie back to these two systems and which model depicts it better. A must listen for sure.
