    Inspiration
Finding this podcast to listen to has helped so much. Having been hit over the head with a diagnosis of breast cancer brought me to my knees. There has been denial. Anger. Depression. Anxiety. Loneliness. The podcasts have brought to light that I’m not the only one who feels like this. It’s not a bad thing to have these feelings. I’ve always been independent. My goal in life has been to help others. Accepting help is not familiar to me. So thankful for Dr B’s soothing voice and inspiration.

    So many life lessons!
I have been listening to Dr. Deborah Butzbach for over a year now and have learned so much. I am not a cancer survivor but have loved ones with cancer and have learned so much that helps me to be as healthy as possible mentally, emotionally and physically as well as learning how to be more aware of how to be sensitive to my loved ones’ journeys. Dr. Burzbach’s calm, practical, humble and sometimes funny lessons are such a reflection of her education and experiences not only as a doctor, but as a woman, mother, wife, daughter and curious learner. The tragic and unexpected losses of Dr. Butzbach’s son and mother within weeks of each other this summer have added an entire layer of wisdom to her podcast which helps us all as we travel through this life of love and loss. Her positive and practical and very human spin on these important life lessons is a gift to us all. Thank you Dr. Burzbach!

If you know someone with cancer or a survivor this is the Podcast for you .
I always want to learn and grow especially on my capacity to support and love the people in my life that are battling cancer or survivors of cancer and I just love everything I’m learning here. I have a new understanding and I’m finding so many ways I can support my family friends and clients using the tools and practical advice in each and every episode. Also, finding so many ways I can learn and apply to my own life to possibly prevent cancer or be at my best self to handle what life brings. Thank you for all this goodness and all the time and energy you use to help all of us listening and the people we help from your willingness to help , love and serve endlessly!!

    Great podcast—worth a listen.
I listened to all of these podcasts during a 16 hour (round trip) road trip. Very good podcast. Nice mix of science, weight loss, interviews, and helpful thoughts for life after cancer. Great podcast. Great thoughtwork that would really help with any chronic illness. Worth a listen!

    Highly needed positive resource
Dr. Butzbach offers so much great information and resources. What I like is that I can gain information to understand my cancer treatments better, yet it is all wrapped in a positive message. The guests are able to share their professional experiences or cancer stories that offer real hope. This is the exact podcast I was looking for.

    The Missing Link
As a survivor of both thyroid cancer and triple negative breast cancer my goal is to do all that I can to reduce my risk of recurrence. I’ve enlisted the help of a functional nutritionist a therapist my physician and many books on the subject. Yet, I still struggle with food cravings. Dr. Butzbach has given me the missing pieces. Her teaching on the primitive brain versus the more sophisticated brain was an “aha” discovery for me. I now believe that I have the tools that I need to break through and consistently stick to my food and exercise plan. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and wisdom with us Dr.Butzbach!

    Excellent podcast!!
I’ve been looking for a meaningful survivorship podcast that speaks to me. And this totally does! In fact, I can’t get enough of it. I listen to episodes over and over again and I wish there were more! High recommended for survivorship, mind, spirit and health! Great stuff, please keep episodes coming!

    You Need This!
I found this pod on a TNBC FB group, and I can tell you, this is seriously the best thing I’ve found for smart, friendly and compassionate advice when it comes to all things cancer. It’s like the kind of talk you WISH you could have the time to have with your oncologist, nutritionist, therapist, etc. The short, easy to understand episodes are a great way to avoid information overload. There’s an accompanying FB page, which is also excellent. If you are in active treatment this is SO comforting. It’s great for family members and caregivers too. In six months since my diagnosis, this is truly one of the best supports I’ve found.

This is a fantastic podcast. There's no unnecessary fluff; just helpful, smart advice and information. Dr. Butzbach explains things in a clear, easy-to-understand way, without talking down to or underestimating her audience.

When people say the wrong things.
Such excellent advice. I’ve recently begun to probe more deeply and honestly into why I’ve allowed people into my life and then allowed them to linger, when they bring nothing positive to the table. I won’t say this is easy. Having spent 40 years in the professional world I wasn’t prepared for the pettiness and insincerity. I’ve asked myself for 4 years “are people really this stupid and insincere”? Retirement has not served me well. I’ve held onto time old traditions of being respectful and absorbing negative commentary because of my training. Now as I try every day to put the best face on my cancer diagnosis I’m shocked at how cruel and insincere their comments and beliefs can be. Is this my new career? Teaching people how to be caring and respectful of my battle? While I’m looking for a loving gesture of support what I’m getting is hapless and completely incorrect advice. I thought I would experience Mitch Ablum’s loving encounters in the Tuesday’s with Morrie series! As I sit in my room I’m still waiting for someone to just stop by and say, how are you doing or can I just visit for a bit. I completely understand that cancer is a very scary diagnosis. But I’m still the same person. I’m still the person that gave everything I had to be helpful. Now, as I sit alone, I realize there will be no Mitch Ablum sitting with me to talk about the years spent forging ahead together. Just my thoughts!❤️

So helpful for patients and caregivers
This podcast is great for both patients and caregivers, and much of the info is applicable to many diseases and chronic conditions, not just cancer. A great resource for all patients.

    Just what the Doctor ordered!
There is a reason “Dr. B” is always a “Top Doc”! While a first rate clinician to be sure, I’ve witnessed her humanity personally a thousand times over. With her Podcast, that same compassion is always front and center as she shares practical ways any individual can live “their best life after Cancer”. It was my distinct honor to work alongside Dr B for many years and I am thrilled that she chose to share the lessons she has learned with her Podcast audience. She is simply a remarkable person!

    Podcast review
Dr. Butzbach podcast is very helpful. She talks to dealing with the impact of breast cancer. However her tools are not specifically for breast cancer patients/survivors. Her anecdotes not only apply to breast cancer patients/survivors but to all in overall living a better life. Her voice is very soothing also!!!

    Not just for survivors
This podcast isn’t just for survivors. As a caregiver the information is pertinent and helpful. We all have experienced something that throws a wrench into our dream life, and learning to deal with it in a healthy way, is the best way to return to that life. I have used very unhealthy ways to cope and am tired of those ways controlling me. In searching for a better way this podcast was sent to me by a very special person in my life, the author. It couldn’t have come at a better time. Give it a listen. It’s changed my life!

Living Your Best Life After Cancer
Dr. Butzbach was my radiation oncologist during treatment for an aggressive form of breast cancer. Her depth of clinical knowledge, coupled with authentic care for her patients, provided me with a calm and caring environment in which to receive treatments. I have watched as Dr. Butzbach’s heart extends beyond the walls of her office and into the cancer community at large. Coaching patients on surviving cancer well comes as a culmination of her life’s work to date and offers survivors her unique thoughts.

    Practical and straight forward.
Dr Butzbach is honest and straight forward but at the same time humble and compassionate. She gets how life after cancer feels and is dedicated to improving life for all. Great practical tips from a super smart physician.

    Gift
Such a gift for cancer patients, a podcast to help them live this life to the fullest while getting out of fear. As a radiation oncologist it is obvious that she has identified the emotional needs of her patients and has taken it one step further to address those needs. As a physician myself, I will be referring all my patients that have a cancer diagnose to take a listen to her podcast . Dr Butzbach voice is so soothing. the information she presents is so valuable.
