I’ve always had an interest in frogs and amphibians. Found this a few months ago and I’m working through all the episodes. This is the perfect podcast to learn and immerse yourself in the hobby, conservation, plants and everything related to this topic.

Great guests from not only the hobby, but some of the most important scientists in the field. I’m constantly impressed by the level of guests he is able to get on the show. Thanks Dan for such an invaluable podcast!

Even considering Dan’s apparent ignorance and prejudice against psychedelics (Sonoran desert toad episode), I’d rate this show 6/5 if I could. Keep up the great work!

Great variety of topics for each show along with qualified experts to provide a well rounded explanation of each subject. Most shows revolve around amphibian care but don’t let that stop you from listening if you are into other herps or insects as there is plenty you could learn from this show ranging from springtails, bio-active, plant care, or herp conservation. AmphibiCast has helped me to prepare for building my first dart frog enclosure after a 10 year hiatus. Thank you for a diverse learning experience!

This podcast has been really helpful in my search for the best frog for my first viv. I’m an aquarist, keep several planted tanks, and darts seem to transfer most of what I love about fish to a vivarium! Amphibicast with Dan is a great podcast that I started listening to during the day while I am at work. Dan dives into different subjects with hobbyists and professionals in the Amphibian World who give insights into their area of expertise. I found this podcast a few months ago and have been completely hooked. I binged every episode and finally caught up to present day. This podcast is everything I could ever ask for in a podcast. There is so much helpful information that has helped me with building my first dart frog vivarium. All Dans tips and tricks, along with the extensive input from others in the hobby, has been an extremely valuable asset. I also love when he gets scientists or researchers on the show and I can just dive into an episode filled with new and exciting knowledge. Dans enthusiasm on every subject, and with every guest also adds to the great experience. I often feel like I’m right there beside him learning new things together! Just wanted to give a quick review of this awesome podcast. Wanted to find a podcast on keeping dart frogs this came up. I very much enjoy this podcast and it is very well put together and the quality is outstanding.

I found this show right when I was building my first vivarium for dart frogs, it saved me so much heart ache and beyond the frogs upped my game with plants and all my other animals. Great show, great interviews, great stuff!

This podcast touches on all areas of the hobby and include everything from building vivariums, culturing of feeder food to amphibian diseases. It’s definitely my go to for learning something new in the hobby. Dan does an excellent job of moderating and asking relevant questions of the guests. Looking forward to more shows!

This podcast should be called, “Dartfrog Cast”. Almost all of the info is based around Dartfrogs.

Dandrobates is the man! This show rocks, if you’re into amphibians and the hobby of keeping amphibians this is the show for you, going over everything there is to learn about these wonder creatures in great depth with some awesome guests!

Love this podcast! I myself don’t have any amphibians yet and I hope to get some in the future. This podcast has helped me learn a lot about keeping them (of course do more research before getting any animals) and the episodes in which he talks to scientists studying the amphibians are also great to hear just for the sake of learning!

It’s about time we got a podcast geared toward amphibian keeping. Even reptiles. So far every episode has been great. The chameleon podcast was a bit meh though took the guest half an hour to stop talking in circles and actually start talking about chameleons. Episode 5 - anthropomorphising human situations to explain why cohabitation is bad? Makes no sense. I was on board until I heard episode five. Not a fan of the train of thought here.
