Drea1$Just What I NeededThank you. I drive a 2005 4 Runner that has 247,000 miles on it. A newer vehicle has been on the table for 3 years, but I’m not ready to do it yet, and it runs just fine. I keep thinking, “Am I being ridiculous to hold off on a newer vehicle?” This 12 minute podcast has been just what I needed to hear. Continue to live simple and create more room for error, so I can adapt to any situation. Very wise and calming words, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Slimer123456789Amazing!Carl’s a master communicator when it comes to money. The insightful questions, deep thoughts, and perspective are well worth the listen!
-
C W F SSo much goodnessI have 2-3 podcasts that I prioritize. 50 fires is one of them.

Jess 300054WonderfulI just wrapped up the episode with Greg McKeown and takes a moment to speak on how books are mentors, that sentiment 100% applies for this podcast as well. The conversations Carl has with guests always display such a high level of knowledge. Carl is masterful at guiding conversations and having guests speak deeply on the topics of money and meaning.

nickgarofaloAlways thought provokingHard to put this into words … but after listening to Carl’s interviews, the sky seems bluer, the wind seems sweeter, and the sun a little brighter. He expands my mind and gives me helpful thoughts to think. I’m hooked.
-
LizWitzFantasticThe only podcast I seek out to make sure I don’t miss an episode!

Nicole PWCan’t get enoughI’m a huge fan of Carl Richards and these episodes are like dessert, a wonderful treat for sure. I love the variety in his guests and so appreciate their openness and honesty, which Carl seems to effortlessly coax out of them with his genuinely deep interest in their stories. Keep them coming!
-
kaydillyEach episode is like a great mealAs much as I ate up all of Carl’s Behavior Gap episodes for years, the long-form convos in 50 Fires nourish the soul. This show is also a master class in listening and in curiously digging deeper into what interviewees have to share.
-
pineboxpeteWell worth your timeCarl is the real thing. Highly recommended.

REL626Love, love, love!Such a wonderful podcast. Huge Carl Richards fan. Following Pete Holmes, would love to hear a Jewish guest, well-versed in Talmud, Mishnah, Tanakh speak about how we are guided to be stewards of money.

TmcctoddConsistently excellentIt’s hard to listen to Carl without a pen and paper in front of me because there is so much wisdom. It’s so much more than money.

lakegirlCFPMost important podcast about moneyIf you only listen to 1 podcast, it should be 50 Fires. I could give this a 7 star review I would! 50 Fires is the most important podcast about $ because it deals with the most important part of personal finance … the personal. That’s the important stuff that helps people really improve and yet it seems is the part no one wants to talk about. As an advisor I listen to 50 Fires to better understand my own personal relationship with money and to help my clients/family/friends understand theirs. Carl, thank you for the work you do … keep the Fires burning my friend!
-
larzmacRefreshing real money talkCarl asks some great questions I’ve never heard asked before. The conversations feel comfortable despite their novelty. My favorite aspect of this podcast is how Carl’s commentary is edited into the moments he finds most poignant to him and helps me to appreciate more some of what’s being said.

Hodl_OnInvest like a psychopath was great for re-examining long-standing beliefsSome of the revelations were triggering, but also freeing. Recommended.
-
skyertoMakes you think; success can only be defined by you.Every episode brings an introspective that you probably didn’t know you had. These episodes spark interesting thoughts and feelings. Thank you

NwrightjrBeautiful conversations around money!!Carl does a great job of asking questions and digging deeper into the WHY? I love this show.
-
EkatehandSacred & LovelyThoughtful & curious. Behind the curtain look at the way money moves and is considered in people’s lives. Love hearing how people feel about money when they’ve never shared a money story before. Sacred & lovely.

Former Quicken user RickInsightful, inspiring, surprisingI have listened to many episodes of Kitces and Carl, in which Michael Kitces and Carl Richards discuss topics related to financial planning and financial advisors. I appreciate the different perspectives of these two men, and especially resonate with Carl Richards focus on the PURPOSE of money. This interest of Carl Richards is the center of the new 50 Fires podcast. His empathetic, probing questions lead to great discussions with his guests about the use and purpose of money. Well done!
-
hrnewberryGenuine conversationsI just found this podcast & thoroughly enjoy it. The host is so easy to listen to & he asks great questions. I feel like I’m listening to two friends chatting rather than an interview. Keep bringing more episodes!
-
AaronEGrahamReal Conversations, Really Good!Money taps into our emotions, how we grew up, and how we respond to financial challenges and opportunities. Learn how to have crucial conversations around money.
-
MPWHITThe best finance show ever! This is what a real conversation about money sounds like.
-
jamieschrupp50 Fires lights a fire!!!I love financial planning discussions and 50 Fires has provided encouragement to keep going deeper to understand attitudes about money and the impact on both current day and future wealth.
-
pgo34Great QuestionsCarl does a great job of asking questions and the reason I really enjoy this podcast and have listened to every episode so far is his excellence in asking questions. I’m looking forward to learning from him as he continues to put out new episodes.
-
jonathanmichael12Must ListenCarl Richards is the heartbeat of what financial services can and should be. It would take way more than 50 fires worth of conversations to fully appreciate the wisdom he has to share. Even still, this podcast is an excellent start.
-
A_sFJImportant workBring in the financial planning business I see first hand the impact of how we all can enjoy more when we get clearer about your personal values and how they intersect with money. Great content!
-
billyckid9Lucas!Carl is a legend in financial planning industry. He “gets it”. Awesome interview with Lucas Nelson. I’ll be back for more.

bdjosslAnswer to prayerA few months ago, I began asking God to shift my perspective on money and to guide me to resources (books, podcasts, articles) that affirmed this goal. I was close to paying off my six figures in student debt (now gone!!) and yet I was MORE preoccupied with the prospect of having more, getting more, and the fear of not having enough. Since that prayer, I have started to feel a shift towards what is actually most important and is freeing me. I am grateful for this show and how it reinforces the Truth about money being a resource and not a god.
-
John briggsThe world needs thisCarl is on a mission to change the way we all talk about money. I love it. What a refreshing change compared to the terrible junk slung by the likes of CNBC and Dave Ramsey.
-
B tockGreat questions from a masterIn this podcast, Carl does what he does best- Ask deep questions and keeps probing till he gets to the true answers. This podcast is not only great for Wealth Advisors and their clients but also everyone else out there seeking answers around their true intentions around money.
-
Healingspirit11Home runThese are the conversations we need to hear - the good, the bad, and the challenges of life’s ups and downs financially and mentally. Really inspiring me to think about my next steps.
-
ALGorithm GroveWow, to be a rich white maleThis review is specific to How Much Money is Enough with Bryce Roberts, a venture capitalist. This was hard to listen to as Bryce scoffs at the “poor” people (any one who can survive on $250,000 and below). So disappointing.
-
Ryan H LawMy new favorite podcastThis is my new favorite podcast, and it’s not just for financial planners. If you want to improve your relationship with money, and learn how to talk about it with others, you should listen to this podcast. The conversations and emotions around money are real, and Carl is willing to have the hard conversations with people, and you get to listen in.
-
dilibiscuitRemember that old movie……Where an actress secretly listens to therapy sessions through an A/C vent? This is like that, but all the conversations are about money. If you like eavesdropping, you’ll love this! Hearing people speak candidly about such a taboo topic is exhilarating and really makes you look at your own attitudes about money, class, self-worth, the worth of others… This could be a great way to break the ice when inviting other people to talk about money… Or just listen for its pure voyeuristic pleasure.
-
j456789654Talking about moneyLike everyone else, I grew up with the solid belief that you absolutely do not talk about money. It’s great to have a show focusing on talking about those things that we all should be talking about and we’re told not to!
-
Counterpoint NutritionGreat concept , needs better executionAwesome concept for a show, conversations go all over the place and very little of the advice is actionable or helpful. First episode was great, listened to 2 which was pretty boring and 3 which is very god focused. Done for now; we'll check back in a few months to see if they find a stride or it continues to flounder.
-
KBFriesCarl for everyone!I have been following Carl for years in the financial advisory world, and I am so glad to see his wisdom shared w everyone! Can’t wait to hear more!
-
The real DubDubCan’t wait for the restThis podcast is the real deal. No one wants to talk about money. But Carl comes in and knocks down any barriers. The convo flows like he’s talking to a lifelong friend. Glad to be listening in on the journey.
-
T-swagggFan of Carl’s workCan’t wait to hear each episode as it comes out!
-
MeasureTwiceMoneyIt's About Time!Carl is fantastic at putting the “personal” back in personal finance. So refreshing!
-
mhw5307Love itExcited to hear more from Carl. He asks the “right” questions about money and the human condition. And glad Michael Kitces can’t interrupt him and talk over him as he does on his other podcast Kitces and Carl.
-
JohnFSMoney is HardMoney is hard, it affects our brains. Maybe it even scrambles them. Carl know how to make omelets out of our scrambled money brains. I’ve been in finance for 30+ years & he gives me something to think about every time.

Buttons JpCarl knocks it out of the park with his new podcast! Are you surprised that Carl has such an amazing podcast? Nope, neither am I! I knew it would be amazing even before listening to the trailer. Carl is known throughout the financial industry as a visionary and one of the most insightful people. He’s bringing that to the world now. Every word that Carl speaks is calculated and filled with thoughtful advice. He shares his experience and truly speaks from his heart. To the reader of this comment, I hope you get out of his podcast as I am, because it is life changing. It’s a guide that helps you to start thinking with your heart. I Cheers, Finart
-
MhallstlYes! Money conversations that matter. No one is more connected to where money and emotion meet than Carl Richards. So excited for the stories and conversations in 50 fires!
-
Cardiffian101We need these conversationsThank you for bringing money, emotion, and meaning into the light. Money is rarely discussed in our culture and needs to be. Carl excels at holding space with empathy while guests peel back layers of the onion and process their own money stories. I can’t wait for the next 🔥.
-
mikesaurbaughMeditating about moneyA conversation that makes you think. Simple questions asked, with no easy, or right or wrong answers. I wish these questions and discussion were “taught” at a younger age. Taught, meaning that there is lecture and homework that requires younger people to take a step back and examine themselves from the inside out. The older/wiser I get, the more these thoughts live rent free in my head.
