Consuelo Mack has a long and distinguished career in business journalism. In 2005 she struck out on her own to launch her dream program, a weekly half-hour program on public television devoted to helping Americans build and protect their wealth over the long-term.     Listening since the beginning
    I have never ceased listening to WT since its inception. From my perspective, it is the continuation of a genre created by Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street Week…investing advice for the everyman. Direct from the source. A selection of men and women who you entrust with your savings to (hopefully) insure some degree of financial comfort in your later years.     Fix the sound balancing
    The content is generally very good, the sound quality for Consuelo is not. It feels like her guests are in a proper studio and she’s talking to them on her cell phone which is propped into a red solo cup.

    The bottom line is the lower the fees the more you make as the fund increases in value. Do not forget that you can get 5-6 individual stocks to supplement. A company that meets your needs and grows.

    Love WealthTrack, but this week (Feb 26,2021) the James Grant interview is incomplete. Both the podcast on the Apple App Store and the audio on the WealthTrack website are only 16 seconds long.

    Excellent show, best on finance. Adult, serious, insightful and always useful and informed valuable information. In fact, more useful as an investing aid than the WSJ and NYT. But please don’t have guests (such as 2/14/20 show) who is a manager who consistently underperforms their market. They sound super intelligent ....but what’s the point if they always underperform? (Even when market is down!)

    If you grew up with Louis and WSW you'll appreciate the quality of the show. Consuelo Mack is short on fluff, but goes long on substance, macro views and actionable insights for her listeners.

    The show does a great job of selecting guests with tremendous experience in their fields. The questions are sufficiently broad and intelligently phrased. The conversations focus on the concerns of long term investors compared to other related shows that don't.

    Consuelo does a great job of directing the show. Guests are organized and informative, having solid records in their areas of expertise. Everyone is biased, as it isn't a history class, it's a show about projections and forecasting. I find the show's pace and sound quality to be easy on the ears.

    Only place that consistently interviews value fund managers...
    David Dreman, Ron Muhlenkamp, Bruce Berkowitz and David Winters have all been interviewed, some multiple times, on wealthtrack. A lot of other stuff on the program is chaff, but there is indeed some wheat to be had here.

    Great Discussions, occasional shameless pumping by guests
    Consuelo Mack is smart and interesting. The program usually has a good quick pace. Sometimes guests pump mutual funds which they run with high loads (e.g., 5.75%) without large disclaimers appearing at the same time. Beware of the imbedded ads.
