I greatly enjoy Matt's antics. He's intelligent. Quite clear he knows the legal issues in and out. Then he riffs a bunch of playful crap that will always crack a smile. He was a good choice to resurrect This Week In Guns.

Came to and stayed with this podcast for the love of Shawn and Matt’s voices and commentary of the firearms world and news. This weeks addition of a new cohost Ben Allread was a welcome surprise and I hope he sticks around. He is an enthusiast in more similar hobbies and perhaps more relatable than Shawn. Keep up the great show!

Love this show and listen to it as soon as I see it when released. Wish they were more often. I had to start listening to We like Shooting for something to listen to between these shows. We like Shooting isn’t quite as good in my opinion though.

Often seem unprepared and banter a little to much amongst themselves, I would like to hear more quality content. Also the lawyer sounds extremely arrogant at times, and that gets old quickly.

How many of the non violent young men in prison are only non violent because they plead down from a violent crime?

This is a great show that gives you news about the second amendment and sometimes challenges you point of view. Loved the show when Shawn was the main host and still love it with Matt taking the lead. I might not always agree with their statements or point of view and that what I’m looking for. Living in an echo chamber is very unhealthy people! Keep up the great work.

I really like the new show with Matt and Shawn. Their opinions are intelligent and well thought out. Great job guys. Please keep doing what you are doing.

I like the new format and host. My only complaint is having a title” this week in guns” it is pivotal that you do a show weekly. Hearing a prospective from a lawyer and Floridian makes a Washingtonian think twice... and that is great.

This is a bit of a novel so consider that a warning. To start with the hosts are great. Very knowledgeable and entertaining while still covering important topics. THIS IS NOT AN ECHO CHAMBER. one of the hosts often has different view points and doesn’t agree with main stream ideas. THIS IS A GOOD THING! Not sure why people get so butt hurt. I don’t agree with everything they say and that’s ok. If nothing else it makes you think critically about your own views and beliefs, which could strengthen your arguments. You might change your mind you might not, but it’s great conversation had between the two hosts. That’s more of what we need rather than just different voices saying the same things. They also don’t have many guests. Personally I like that because I tune in to hear their opinions and there are plenty of other great shows on the FRN that have regular guests if that’s your thing. The Only exception I’d like to see is very specialized subject matter experts like judges, politicians, etc if they can provide some behind the scenes information. All in all it’s a great show and worth the listen. More 3D printing stuff would be cool but that might not be the show for that stuff. Keep up the great work

Really wish these two would stick to what they know. The 359 discussion was like two Hollywood writers hashing out a bad script. Just awful.

Once a great show turned to crap by the new host, the self-proclaimed 2A advocate-Hipster-Libertarian is an insult to all three. I expected more from FRN and not sure how Shawn puts up with the alleged “expert” spewing misleading opinion pieces, only thing he can do is regurgitate Reddit threads. I actually unsubscribed from the network and resubscribed to the other shows individually just not to see this one in my feed... it’s that bad.

I like this podcast I also listen to We Like Shooting I’m a fan of Shawn but this host “Matt”, I’m sorry but you gotta go bud. Your jokes are lame and you talk too much you obviously have a hard time staying on topic. If it wasn’t for Shawn I would Not listen to this podcast AT ALL.

The host blows Shawn out of the water.

I love this podcast I’m glad it’s back! Thank you guys for making it happen. I have a question for Matt. How could we (what would have to happen) make a case for gun owners that would make us a protected class. The government seems to be prejudice against gun owners.

So glad to see this come back weekly and being a FPC donor, I am stoked to see Matt here.

Shawn Heron has done a goodjob with the podcast since Jake Challand left. Getting some of the news you won't otherwise hear, along with the funny uplifiting commentary is something I look forward to every week. Unfortunately since the passing of the producer, Kenny Ortega, the show seems to be on hiatus.

I find it appalling that the producer, Kenny 'Ortaga' worked so hard on this show and the minute he passes away, Shawn can't even keep the show going in his memory. What a spoiled childish brat. Shame on you Shawn Herrin.

The host is extremely negative about things he clearly lacks any real experience with. He arrogantly pretends to be an expert about everything, while it is obvious he's at best an amature.

Great show with a good host who brings on interesting people for fascinating discussions.

This show is like a warm hug. It’s great to get on a regular basis, and makes you feel good inside. If you don’t like hugs then you don’t like this show, and we can’t be friends.

I like this week in guns the best because they have different people on and talk about thing a going on now. I know Sean ( or however you spell it ) doesn’t like the format but I like it the best. Thanks

Some weeks there is a great discussion of various firearms topics, some weeks the show consists solely of the hosts telling jokes and laughing at each other. This aspects seems to be getting worse. This is why a stopped listening to “We like shooting”. Maybe time to take my limited podcast listening time elsewhere

The podcast is mostly good information and discussion, but I have to say the guy Jeremy that they have as a commentator I think does a total disservice to the podcast. Just listened to his commentary on the Miami incident and think his view is completely ignorant and exactly why our police forces are becoming militaristic entities. There is no way those officers should have engaged in that situation to begin with, let alone not care that they were effectively using innocent bystanders as human shields

This podcast is good most of the time, but the two guests who I believe are Jake and Jake from TN are on, I usually skip. They do not seem to know much at all about the content that is being discussed, which leads me to believe they have not prepared. More of the same "I've got an iphone and a YouTube account; let's be "content creators." Newbies to the gun game. When these two guests aren't on, I'd rate it a four star podcast, with an occasional five-star.

Last weeks show was a disaster! The only way I can continue listening to this podcast is if TONY, gives a double “bye Felicia” this week to make up for his negligence. Zane saying, “bye Felicia” sounds like someone is holding a gun to his head and forcing him. He does not have the soul that Tony does when saying it. Furthermore, if Zane wants a catch phrase, he should end the show with something like, “low recoil Zane signing off.” And Chad, you should end the show with your famous “whatever.” In all seriousness, great show! By far my favorite firearms related podcast.

Highly entertaining, great chemistry between all the characters on the show and lots of good information on what is going on in the 2A community.

This show is great for keeping up with the latest news on firearms and the 2nd Amendment.

The guy with the raspy voice is an ignorant Xenophobe who thinks it’s ok to mispronounce foreign names. Comments like “Chinese or Korean or whatever” sounds like someone who’s never left his neighborhood his whole life. These guys give the 2A defenders a bad name.

This show was absolutely the best when Jake was hosting...and now the IQ level as well as guest quality, is right down the tubes. Really miss Jake, Peter, Ebbs, Nate and the rest of the crew.

The female host in this show is offensive and she is prejudice. I’m sorry but you don’t call black people, “Colored” and “People of Color” anymore.

Nonsense

Used to love this show when it was hosted by Jake, it was informative and entertaining.... then the new host took over. I literally stopped listening to a previous show he hosted or co-hosted because he was obnoxious, then he killed this show too. Haven’t listened to this since this guys third show or so, only writing this review because it showed up as a recommendation and I’d forgotten about it.

Due to my job I often spend 5+ hours by myself. Love listening to all the FRN podcasts to pass the time. This Week in Guns quickly became one of my favorites! Very informative and I appreciate the different opinions on all the news stories.

Love the show and passing along the word that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

Panelists discuss firearms in politics as well the the industry in general. One of my favorite podcasts.

Johnny Bravo was much more entertaining than Zane, enjoyed his closing.
