    Love this!
I am familiar with ed from clips from MTV raps as a millennial he's alittle bit out of my category but I've viewed him on Rickey smiley shows and clips based on hip hop. After listening to the podcast panel, I took a listen & fell in love! This is a great podcast & I love the format of educational and funny!

Thank YOU for YOUR Service 🫡
I’ve been rockin with Ed Lover and C’mon Son for pretty much my entire Military Career (20 Years in February! I’ve rocked with you videos and clips thru all my deployments and I’m so thankful that you have a Podcast and I can tap in and listen whenever I need a break from the daily grind! That 3O year anniversary break down of 36 Chambers is legendary and should be placed in the Hip Hop AND Rock n Roll Hall of Fame!! C’mon Son!

    “Let’s Get Back to Love”
First and foremost, Ed - congratulations for all of the praise and recognition you have been receiving for your illustrious career. I was compelled to write this review after the ending of episode 287. Thank you for speaking positivity from your heart and advising us to get back to love. There is so much going on in this world and your message was really needed and touched me. I needed to hear that. I wish you and everyone else who contributes to the podcast continued success. One love 🫶🏾✌🏾✊🏾

    Love the pod
Ed please get your audio together, I have to turn whatever I’m listening to you on all the way up but when you play music in between your talking it’s louder than your voice which got me going back and forth with turning up and down during an episode

    Legendary
Love to hear Ed’s perspective on current topics and sharing hip hop based story’s. He is definitely underrated and under appreciated in hip hop history. More importantly his adult male convo is needed today.

    Question tho’
Ed claimed on one of these that Jay Z wrote Dre Day for Dr Dre BUT….. consider the timeline, location & persons in said case. How would Jay (who’s first album wasn’t due out until 1996 on the east coast) have any access to Dre (the chronic came out circa 1994 on the west). The only NWA member that was east coastin’ like that that back then was Cube& Easy said before passing away that it didn’t matter who wrote it because it means pay day for him (&his children). Just doesn’t parallel that he would be in that atmosphere so if it’s a fact, we need that origin story. Y’all usually quick to recite those so where’s this supposed one??? I grew up with an older brother , so yo mtv raps was a mainstay so don’t play.

    Great content!
Uncle Ed, I love the show!! My only complaint is the audio only plays on one side of my headphones and if I listen unplugged, the audio is low unless I play the episode from my Echo. I mostly listen on my headphones, on my commute, lunch break or down time.... so please please please correct that for a loyal listener. Thank you!
  • ishbig60
    Ed’s a legend
Love the show, love the history, love the stories. Just one critique, Ed please fix the audio levels. Audio is very low when listening. Respect...

    Ed lover has stories
He’s been around for a minute and I can appreciate what he’s seen and done. Hearing the podcast is like Yo MTV raps lite with cussing and no videos. But for real keep putting out the podcasts because you have been put in special position being a tastemaker back in the day. And to hear your views on situations are great to hear. Keep it up

    Disappointed
I was hoping this would be the podcast version of his former YouTube videos of the same name... It's not 😔

    Hip Hop Lives On
I could never be more amazed at the growth of this art form. Ed Lover was in the gristle of this art and continues to be a well informed positive voice for the culture. This Podcast is no different keep up the legendary work!

    Ed
I appreciate what you’ve given to the culture. I wasn’t born when u started working w/ YoMTV, but I know that was the platform that put hip hop/rap in the eyes on the world. Keep it up bro!
  • ReddRadioDiva
    Legendary but needs to adjust
Absolutely love Ed Lover! Guests are immaculate! Dude is a legend, however its sickening to continue to talk about how it was 30 years ago. We stream because records are rarely sold in stores and people pay for streaming. Its a new day in record selling. Other than that, love it!

    Hip Hop Legend
In a just world, Ed would be in the 2nd decade of a pulse of the culture variety/talk show of his design or have his own channel on satellite, but we're not in a just world. He does have this outlet and for that I'm glad. Good luck in Chicago. Respect the elders and Salute Ed Lover!

    Ed Lover is Back
I listen to your interview on the Combat Jack podcast and it was good to hear you dropping the science of Hip Hop and even going back to Yo MTV Raps. You are a voice that need to be heard especially being one of the pillars of bringing Hip Hop to the masses!!!!!!! Great Podcast!!!!!!
