sectoNot about baseball! Great music! No baseball, great music but then they never play another song!!! And talk about Geoff and the old guy seems to lose his train of thought a lot. Also I don’t think they do much research about stuff… especially baseball! Love the show I absolutely loved this show!!! RIP I will never forget the time you spent with us! Thank you for your time and stories!

wmkrgs🙏R.I.P Old Chestnut. Loved the show, listened for years 🙏

Tinhat?Platinum plan getting expensive. This is the finest hour of audio available every week. Liam and Morris deserve great credit for maintaining their independent opinions now that the show has become so huge. The layers of legal, compliance and HR they have to put up with would crush lesser men. I will continue with my Platinum subscription even though I understand a billing glitch is allowing regular subscribers the same content at this point.

kawswfcLiamDon’t sell yourself short Liam!!! Not only are you worth listening to you on a Sunday, I’m listening while I prepare for my son’s birthday dinner. Love listening to you guys and I appreciate the time you take to put out content.

JayHill78From bonds to bodegasLook forward to listening every week for market insight, good music and a few laughs. Loved the La Esquina bit, it’s a hidden gem indeed. Solidified my assumption that Liam and Morris are men of fine taste and good rapport.

DesMoinesManFast forward the beginningFun to hear an insider talking about markets. They play this horrible music in the beginning but just fast forward to avoid hearing rubbish. Also it is 2s & 10s NOT 10s & 2s.

sparky-tyroVery disappointed - NOT ABOUT BASEBALL??!!Have been tuning in for weeks now for a detailed discussion on baseball. Not a whisper. Just two guys talking about the financial markets and Nancy Pelosi’s husband.

DEFELI1UnbearableNo words. Sounds racist. He keeps mentioning how smart he is and the fact he is jewish... he even makes fun of Christians sometimes...

Rob Hamilton120Disappointed and disrespectfulTo have a whole show of fish without telling us this and wasting my time is disrespectful. I am the same age as old Chestnut. Not an age thing Smart guys just not nearly as funny as they think. I’m out!! Old chestnut is much better on the market huddle with some direction and guard rails.
-
apeedyLove it!Even the full concert show :-)

AdiazviGreat podcastOld Chesnut’s wisdom is infinite

{Mike H.}Better than nothingI think Old Chestnut can add poor internet connectivity to his long list of home utility woes. I’ve been a fan since the beginning, I hope you both continue to ride through the pain.

Beantown Billy GoatDeserves Negative StarsIt's because of Phish. Otherwise maybe you'd get a three. As for podcasts go, y'all need to listen to the lessons from the OG legend of podcasting on how to structure this thing. Should know who that is since you're in the industry. Let's get to Phish. That is a garbage band listened by garbage people with a garbage taste in music. It's for burnouts and teenagers on their way to burnout. This is an unequivocal fact of life. And those boys are probably modern day Laurel Canyon stuff. So they're a waste of time. Your stories are cool but... Should get straight into talking about the markets, it's why many are here checking things out and makes for a better 'cast. Then tie that into some story or whatever you need to brag about. Crazy stories about antisocial neighbors and ex coworkers are always welcome. Most important of this whole 60 minutes of blathering... is how does your experience translate into actionable intelligence for a knuckle dragging credit idiot like me. Market Huddle infinitely better use of time for those following the markets. This podcast is mostly reminiscing on an old guy's amazing career. It's cool and interesting but I ain't learning all that much here about today's markets. 1970s, 80s and 90s markets sure. Mechanics of the underlying financial system from then, sure. Not too applicable to 2022. Guess they are too afraid to put their ideas out there. Market Huddle is all about that action. Puts their reputations on the line every week.

Erik ZbikDifficult listenAnd not getting bette. This week, Morris forgot how to correctly pronounce the word “reminiscing”. Astonishing.
-
karlmarxhadabigdongOf course Morris is randomly a phish wookMy brother named his kid Trey. Phish fans are the worst.
-
Two-FourOne of the best finance pods aroundGreat listen each week! Love the content, the laughs, and the Wall Street stories.
-
JTT DawgLove ItVery entertaining, I look forward to it every weekend.
-
DARNYOUSPACEBARGreat podcast!I love this podcast. It’s interesting, engaging, and accessible for people not very familiar with the markets.
-
daddio samLanguageFor what it’s worth I prefer the crude language and prefer you speak exactly they way you naturally do. Heard you apologize in episode 2 and don’t think you should apologize for anything.
-
Need-More-NewsInterestingInteresting conversation and insights from Morris but wondering who this fellow Liam is
-
GeorgeMS3The opposite of CNBCI love this podcast. I’m relatively new to the world of investing/trading and most of what I have see is irrational exuberance and narrative driven trades being rewarded beyond all reason. It’s refreshing to hear about times and trades that were based on real fundamental movements and the skepticism in this podcast is a healthy dose of reality in a market that has lost touch with just that. Thank you both for your time

Duggyc123GreatJust a simple great podcast. Little tidbits of good advice, great stories and banter. Love it and look forward to it every week.
-
PaulieeewSharing a lifetime of wisdomThe heading summaries what I get from this podcast. Morris is clearly a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience to share. Liam does a great job of guiding the conversation. Not a lot of short term actionable investment advice but lots to consider as you plan your long term investment strategy
-
Cdub's CompGreat PodcastI stumbled upon this podcast after listening to Morris on the Huddle (another great podcast). I really enjoy listening to Morris and his views on the market, economy, investing, etc. I appreciate the balance between difficult concepts of trading that I need to quickly Google to understand and many of the fundamental concepts he discusses. As someone who isn’t professionally involved but has some knowledge on the markets the stories he tells about his own experiences trading are gold. Thanks a lot to both of you and don’t worry about talking too much! That’s why we listen.

SkaphishLiam and MauriceIt is great to hear the wisdom of Morris and his humor. If only Liam could come up with a better question than “I do all dividend growth stocks is 13 too many?” And “I sell my losers is that wrong?” And “ I am in it for the long haul , I am holding JPM for twenty years, is that ok?” Am I selling my losers or am I holding for twenty years should maybe be his first question. If the content was a little more thought out ahead of time and a little more than what is on Liam’s mind this would be a great podcast. Teach us Morris!!!!! You are the man!

NatextrFun and informative.I’m always looking to broaden my knowledge, am generally interested in the financial markets and and the people that work in them. While not strictly a show about investing, Inside Baseball with Old Chestnut promises to weave the stories of a life well lived, and give crucial insight into some of the inner workings of our financial system. I’m lucky to know both Morris and Liam, so I’m definitely a little biased. I would probably listen to at least one of these (however, tome is finite and there is so much good podcast content out there, I wouldn’t waste my time if it wasn’t good). I find their rapport endearing; these guys obviously like each other. This mutual respect, coupled with Liam’s curiosity, and Morris’ humor and knowledge should flush-out the concept of Inside Baseball with Old Chestnut, into a worthwhile subscription. I’m signed up, now give me more!
