    Best real world advice

    Unvarnished
I would have learned a lot as a young man if info like this was as accessible as this pod. Be willing to be a bit uncomfortable and expect to gain valuable insights.

Best Marriage/Parenting/Midlife Content on the Internet
She is hilarious and knows her stuff. Offers great perspective on how negative childhood experiences impact adult life and relationships. Delivers “hard truths” for both men and women in a way doesn’t create any negative feelings but does inspire positive changes.

    Realistic
I love that the advice is based on actual truth. Not what people think is true, not what they wish was true, not what people think their spouse wants to hear. For many people, the hardest part of conflict is thinking you’re alone or you’re the only person who thinks a certain way. The dynamics described in these podcasts reflect most couples, and it’s time for us all to collectively admit that and approach relationships from a realistic point of view.

    Grrat podcast, awful intro
Great podcast by an amazingly insightful psychologist & speaker. But PLEASE re-record that first minute with the Spotify blurb. It’s such poor quality and it pops in your ear and I literally dread it every time. It’s actually painful to listen to. It should be the easiest thing in the world to fix.

    Super pragmatic and realistic
I love her work. She gets right to the point with practical advice that can be implemented immediately. Also, pretty funny!

    New favorite
I love this podcast. I like how in just a few short minutes an episode is packed with great information.

    Mixed bag
DPM is a huge mixed bag of either every good advice, or pointed victim shaming. Take everything here with some skepticism, especially if you come from an abusive relationship, are a man, or especially both. It’s like taking advice from a 90s sitcom perspective of “the man stupid, the woman hates him”, so if you find Friends or Family Guy an accurate representation of your life, then it’s probably good advice, otherwise it’s very mixed.

    Totally shocked
I just downloaded the OCPD episode as a therapist I had gave me this diagnosis years ago. I was hoping to learn more about who I am. The doc just basically insulted all people with OCPD and called them insufferable. As a therapist, I would assume she would want to normalize mental health issues. Instead, I feel shame about my PD and will never listen to this podcaster ever again.

    Needed!
I found this pod via a dead bedroom forum I read as it was a place we were and I am hoping to prevent ever happening again. I have been looking for this kind of practical advice for years, and if I had access to it early in our marriage it would have saved a lot of heartache and a near divorce. I don't think this pod will work a miracle, but it will help extremely well with empathy in a marriage and setting a path on improving things in for a couple who really wants to make it work. We've been through counseling which was helpful, but I believe this show will help with relationship maintenance and upkeep as Dr. Psych understands the gaps between the way men and women in a relationship think about things.

    Great show…but…
I really like the content, but this lady cusses like a sailor. To each their own, but it does make me question her (and anyone’s) professionalism.

    So Helpful
I find her podcast super informative and enlightening and she hits the nail on the head with her content. This is straightforward and no nonsense, which is why my husband and I both listen to her. Highly recommend.

    Very informative!
Great content and easy to listen to. The podcasts are also the right length to get the most out of.

    Love this show!
I absolutely love this show! Super relative information. I really feel like I’m just chatting with a friend. I adore her down to earth approach to relationship and telling it like it REALLY is. Marriage isn’t always perfect and neither are people.

    Great show; uploads wonky
There is some sort of technical glitch with this podcast: about 80% of the episodes cut out about half way through, some outro music plays, then the next episode starts. What's going on???
