This was a recommendation from another Podcaster I love . About 5 min into the very 1st episode I was HOOKED!! Love TALES we are told and the actors are awesome!! The only thing is there are a few episodes I wish had their very own series!! 5 Stars !!

I love the great voice acting and clever writing for this show, but couldn’t give it five stars once I heard the infuriating slurping noises they included in the most recent episode. I can’t, I just can’t! 😅😬

These stories are always so great, the writing, acting and sound. A fun and creepy modern take on classic horror radio drama. Love it!

The voice actors are all talented. It reminds me of the radio oldies. The only other podcast I can compare it to in terms of the high quality is Nocturnal Transmissions. CRT really stands out with excellence.

While I like the campy feeling this show induces, there have been moments and dialogue (e.g. Night Chills) where cringe-worthy things like, “I got mad love for you” and uses of the word, “sl*t” appear. Yikes! Similarly, the “ex” themed trope is relied upon heavily throughout, as evidenced again, in “The Woman in the Basement”. Be afraid of the unstable thing with a vagina - oof… It’s kind of a bummer since the show mostly entertains and does a nice job on painting the settings with robust imagery. All this to say, awarding it a 3.5 due to the misogyny.

The only downside I’ve found to the podcast is that there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of content being produced today. That being said, definitely a nice change from the “monotonous reading of Reddit stories” doldrums that can set in with our podcasts. Very well done and I hope to see more episodes in the future.

This podcast is easily the highest quality horror show I have ever heard. Both in writing and production / audio quality. The sound is amazing and fills you with chills and dread. These stories are so well written and produced you feel like you are there. I love this show and am always waiting for them to drop another one! I have even listened to them multiple times and they still hold up. All in all, this is a great podcast and it really makes it hard for me to find others I enjoy as much!

I have been a horror fanatic since elementary school. I am always searching for a scare and let me tell you… this podcast scared me more than any movie I can remember in recent times. The sound is perfect, the writing is scary… can I just meet this Ballantine guy? Searched the internet and there is just not enough on him !

I enjoy listening to fiction podcasts, especially horror ones. This podcast was highly recommended and I am glad I decided to listen. Phenomenal work and I recognize some of the voice actors. Wish there was more. High quality program! Check it out.

This podcast is the epitome of quality over quantity. They may only release a handful of episodes a year, but you can guarantee that they are going to be of the highest quality with superb voice acting, music, and atmosphere.

Wonderful show, Not so great consistency

I absolutely love this podcast. The crew does such an excellent job but I just wish they would have a regular schedule.

My only wish is that they would come out with more tales more often.

alright sound design, okay voice acting (depending on the accents), not a ton of creativity/solid plot writing, and really poorly written/stereotypical female characters. i tried really hard to love this one but i would only consider a few episodes to be good and even fewer to be original.

The bones of Santa was awesome had me in suspense the voices are real good. Love Santa’s voice. I pictured this as a . Black n white film. Lol

I love this podcast! It keeps me focused while doing errands, cleaning, or driving home. I’m into creepypastas and horror and miss old radio plays so this pod is my kinda vibe. Some of the stories are hit or miss but I feel like that comes with the territory. Thanks for making these available!

I love radio dramas. Definitely my favorite genre of podcast. I’ve listened to dozens of them, and this one tops them all. The voice acting, the writing, the editing. Just amazing. Keep it up!

This channel is a goldmine of incredible performances. Each one complete and professionally made. The effort shows in every episode. The stories are unique and fresh. Understandably, there isn’t a regular upload like most podcasts, but this isn’t most podcasts. There’s effort and delicate precision in each episode. I can’t wait for the next upload!

Please make more of these stories. Why did they stop? The few On the list were great! If you still read the reviews PLEASE MAKE MORE! 😩 when I see that you have made a new one I listen instantly I keep all of the episodes cuz I like listening to them over when I’m driving and working. I hope more will come 2021 almost over maybe we will get lucky and get one before the year is out or maybe in 2022. I pray who all that works on the podcast is well. Blessings!

I do still listen. The problem with this podcast isn’t in overall presentation. There are some pretty interesting episodes. The problem appears to be this: the main driving force of the entire effort is more effective as an administrator than as a creative. The stories not written and/or acted by Mr. Ballentine tend to be more entertaining listens.

Great podcast good story’s and good narrative

The Lift, The Wicked Library, Creepy, NoSleep, The Alexandria Archives, Darkest Night, The Bright Sessions, Lore, Tanis, etc. - just so you know what kind of podcasts I enjoy and appreciate the effort put into quality sounding podcasts. Secondly, this has become my NEW FAVORITE podcast! I can't imagine the effort that goes into the enjoyable stories, the voice acting, production, sounds, mixing...EVERYTHING with this podcast. I enjoyed The War Of The Worlds I haven’t read the book yet but this story gave just as much chills as the original story and a very terrifying twist.

Just recently I got into audio drama podcasts specifically Horror, Sci-fi etc..and I stumbled upon CRT. via suggestions. I was impressed with stories, and also the voice actors/actresses did excellent job. Someone wanted some suggestions of an audio drama and I had suggested CRT on a sub forum.
