Set Up A Folder for Effortless Speech Therapy
I have participated in many courses and webinars given by Carrie. I also take other SLPs’ webinars, but I always seem to come back to Carrie’s, as she is kind, compassionate, non judgmental, realistic, and practical. Plus, I need to hear things over and over before they stick!! I’ve never listened to Carrie’s podcast episodes, so I am super excited to know about these!! Plus, I never heard her “origin” story so I am very thankful I logged in. It’s wonderful to hear how all of “this” came to be and that The Way she got here was by experiencing exactly what I experience as a school based SLP. Sometimes I feel that we are twins from different mothers!! I always feel my stress level decrease after listening to Carrie present, taking one of her webinar trainings, or receiving a personal message from her. Thank you Carrie!

She presents things in a clear, concise, detailed manner. And I always learn so much from her even though I’m in my eighth year! I’m so happy this is back!

    Quick listen and informative
This was perfect for putting on during my lunch, when I was catching up on various tasks. The information was sometimes things I already knew, but it was nice to have that refresher! I also enjoyed that there is research mentioned to back up the material. The tips were practical, and things I could use right away.

    Great resource for SLPs, educators
As an SLP just starting my career, this podcast has been a great resource to develop my practice! The podcast is a great supplement to Carrie’s online resources and is especially great to throw on during car rides for those of us who travel to different sites.

    helpful for a dad/SLP student
The podcasts about stuttering were helpful in improving how to handle my own son’s disfluency. I’ve walking on eggshells not knowing if SLP services could “lock” him into overly focusing on his stutter. Thank you for clear information. I am looking forward to reading your ebook.

    5 minute speech therapy
I listened to your pod cast regarding providing 5 minute therapy to address articulation. I thought your feedback was very helpful and the links you provided were also useful tools to review the two programs you referred to. I definitely am considering using both programs next year. The idea behind servicing a child for less minutes but more frequently is something I have begun to implement already in the school setting. Your pod cast just helped me confirm I am heded down the right track. I look forward to listening to additional pod casts you present.

    Speech and language kids membership
I signed up for the speech and language kids membership last year. I was unsatisfied with services offered.

    Eliciting the R
I very much enjoyed your interview and it had a lot of great tips for kids who can be stimulabe for R. However I was looking for more techniques for kids who do not have an R in any position or pairing. I’ve been attempting to elicit an R with a 6 year old boy by making the N sound and pulling it back, with some success. But I want to get better results. Is there a podcast for when the child does not have an R at all?

This is a great podcast for parent, newbies in the field and even those of us who have been doing this for years! It’s nice to get new ideas, new ways to explain to parents and even just reassurance that you’re doing things right :). Great show, but did you stop podcasting in 2017 :(

This podcast teaches me something new every time!
I listen to this podcast on the way to work and always feel like it was an excellent use of time. The show gets into specific details instead of just washing over topics which is very helpful. I've recommended this podcast to friends and will continue to do so.

    THE BEST Speech/Language podcast!!!!
I am a parent of a young child with Autism and these podcasts have truly improved our everyday life. I listen on the way to work, while I'm grocery shopping and just try absorb this vast amount of knowledge that Carrie so generously shares with the world. All the tips, strategies, deep explanations and root causes of every aspect of language. A light bulb went off when I listened to the Consonant Deletion podcast. We could not understand what my son was saying until I listened to that podcast and finally put it together and taught him using Carries techniques. Truly life changing. I can't thank you enough for all your wonderful work.

    Thank you!
I just recently found this podcast and I'm very thankful for it. I graduated with my masters this past August and the podcast has been great about reminding me of techniques, providing me with ideas for therapy ideas for my students, and has helped me with my parent-friendly language.

    Amazing!!
I love listening to Carrie's podcasts on my way to work. It's an amazing way to make sure my therapy tools are still "sharp" as well as review concepts, and discover different techniques to use in therapy with my kiddos. Keep it up Carrie!

    A wealth of information
I have been working in public schools for nearly 20 years and I am amazed at the amount and quality of information I have gained by listening to Carrie's podcasts and by reading her Blog. I stumbled on the blog by accident while searching for some new materials for free (did I mention I work in an urban public school district😏). I have found an abundance of materials, ideas and information. Thanks Carrie, keep up the good work!

Love the Speech & Language Kids podcasts!
I am a recently certified SLP in Michigan. I am always looking for ways to learn new therapy strategies and increase my knowledge in the field. Carrie's podcasts are a great way to learn practical therapy strategies from an experienced SLP. I also love that I can brush up on my knowledge while on the go or working around the house. Keep up the great work, Carrie!

Carrie, your website and your podcasts have been a HUGE help to me! I'm a licensed SLPA and fairly new to the field since I graduated. I work for a home health clinic, so listening to your podcast while I drive is the best thing ever! Thanks again for everything. I look forward to new videos each week.

    Excellent!
As a school-based SLP, I am loving your tips on implementing EBP. We hear about the research all the time, but rarely are we provided a practical way to use it in schools. Thank you!

    Grad student's Lifesaver
Carrie does the work so you don't have to! I love listening to these podcasts during the commute to my SLP internship. She breaks things down into easy to use/understand formulas that you can alter depending on the client's needs. As a grad student it's easy to become overwhelmed by the broad range of topics that SLPs need to be knowledgable about, but these podcasts have helped me to become more comfortable with understanding various disorders and therapy techniques. Thank you!

    Helpful, Helpful, Helpful Podcast
Carrie, over the past few months I have been listening to your podcast and LOVE how much time and energy you put into bringing much needed information on tops related to building speech and language skills in children, especially those with delays. As a board certified music therapist (MT-BC), I often work in conjunction with SLP's who see children with speech delays. This pod cast helps inform my work as I apply music to help the children I work with often build on their speech goals. It also helps me let their parents know what to expect and how they can help. From one Carrie to another, thank you for sharing the wealth of information you have on speech and language! It is truly helpful!

I really think it's a great podcast. I like how you go into detail to explain things so it's great for parents as well.

Great resource with room for improvement
I've listened to a handful of the podcasts so far and am very thankful to have this resource! That said, there is some room for improvement. Strengths: covers a variety of topics, provides links to plenty of free resources (let me say that Carrie's data sheet for taking articulation data is pure genius!), and she makes it interesting for both parents and professionals alike. Weaknesses: Really just one- a few of the podcasts that I listened to (like the one on narratives) did not keep my attention well because she was going through a long list of activities. It was certainly a lot of information, but just not presented in a way that kept me engaged. Probably would have been more effective if she broke it down into multiple podcasts, and talked about a smaller age range in each podcast, with more anecdotal examples. Overall, it's a really good resource and I will keep listening.

I absolutely love these podcasts. It's one of the things I look forward to in the mornings as I'm sitting in my office. I can push play and listen while I work and learn new techniques that I would not have thought of doing. I have also purchased her verb and vocabulary cards and think they are fantastic. Thank you for all you do to help me be a better therapist.

Carrie’s podcast on dealing with echolalia was exactly what I needed the other day! Sometimes as a SLP it’s good to have a resource to remind you of strategies and techniques you may have forgotten since completing grad school.
