macsrcoolSo much good how-to info, great stories and fun! This is the show for working musicians of all types and at any level, anywhere. Cool gear, lots of tips and tricks and just the best stories about gig life. My favorite part is that Dave knows that everyone’s situation can vary and he invites listener participation. No matter when, where or how much you play, there’s good stuff here.

The RobonzoConsummate pros with great advice and storiesI’ve known Dave and Paul for a number of years and remember when Paul came to me to ask what I thought of the idea he and Dave had for this podcast. Both are outstanding musicians and great people. The information they’ve put into Gig Gab is truly impressive. If you’re a working musician or someone who is just morbidly curious about what goes into putting live music on a stage, you’ll love this podcast. Topics they share are truly insightful and entertaining. Keep up the good work guys!

SertsharkBest Band ShowI’ve been listening to these two for a few years, and when I first found them I marathoner all the older shows. It’s the best podcast out there about being in a band. Yes, at times one of them gets a little long-winded, and while at first it was distracting, I have realized it is perfect, and I love it because he always talks about something we all can related to as musicians in a working band. Love the show. It’s my favorite podcast.

RealityStopMust-listen for working musiciansPaul and Dave, been listening for a long time. I appreciate what you do, and your thoughtfulness about the impact of the pandemic on all of us who love playing is a shot in the arm. My band has played a few gigs, had a few canceled, and canceled a few ourselves. It is helpful to have your experiences to benchmark against. Keep doing what you are doing, and I will keep listening!

PG progAddictive for Weekend WarriorsI play drums and percussion and sing in my wife's original/cover band, Groovy Judy. She told me about the Kenny Aronoff episode, which I loved. I started checking out other episodes and have made a point of listening to all of them. I think I'm addicted. There have been plenty of discussions where I found myself nodding my head and thinking, "Yep, been there, done that." Other discussions had me thinking, "Huh, that's interesting." It's always nice knowing I'm not the only one who feels a certain way about the triumphs and trials of being in a local band. I also appreciate the perspective and knowledge Paul and Dave bring to the table. I live in the Bay Area, not far from where Paul lives and have played in at least one of the same venues as The House Rockers. I've never seen the band, but I'm curious about them now. I tried and, thus far failed, to get my band on Slack. I recently got a Telefunken M80, based in part on a mention in Gig Gab and I'm about to find out if it performs as well at a gig as in rehearsal. Thanks, guys, for your contributions to the betterment of weekend warriors and for your entertaining and enlightening podcast. Keep up the great work!

seenoevil20Essential Listening for the Working MusicianThere are plenty of podcasts that talk about music, but very few (that I've found) that really dive into the nuts and bolts of being a working musician. Everything is discussed from personalities in a band, technical details, crowd handling, gig frequency, song selection, promotion, the list goes on and on. And these guys are overqualified! They have been in the trenches for decades now and speak to you directly as a gigging musician. I can't say enough about this podcast, I've already learned so much from their insights.

Ham kidsFun!As a huge music fan, but not a musician, I still find this podcast really interesting and informative. To me it is a peak behind the curtains kind of thing that is very entertaining.

Interested 777Great podcast!Excellent podcast! Paul & Dave take listeners inside their bands. Full of great discussion for all musicians, Gig Gab Podcast is also fascinating for those interested in everything that goes into a band. Paul and Dave "pull the curtains back" for the listener, discussing: • Considerations in creating set/song lists for gigs • The "View from the Stage" - (Stories about what the band sees during gigs). • Getting the band to bond • Rehearsals • How they get their bands in synch with each audience • The business of being a band • Promoting the band - and much, much more. I subscribed, and I'm looking forward each new episode. I'll bet you will be too!
