MusicEnthusiast13The Pinnacle of Chicago Blackhawks PodcastingWith so many sports shows to choose from, finding a gem that balances insightful analysis with engaging entertainment can be a challenge. But, the CHGO Blackhawks show, hosted by the dynamic Jay, Greg, and Mario, does just that and much more. They’ve crafted a platform that hits the sweet spot between deep dives into game and player analysis, a rich exploration of Blackhawks team history, insightful prospect evaluation, and the latest in hockey news. What sets this show apart is its seamless blend of professionalism with just the right amount of silly shenanigans, making each episode a fresh and engaging experience, even with the demanding schedule of almost daily shows. For the casual fan looking to deepen their understanding of hockey’s nuances or the diehard enthusiast eager for discussions on complex issues, this podcast is a treasure trove of information. The CHGO team offers honest, rational takes on the sport. Their commitment to fairness and unbiased reporting is evident in every episode, providing listeners with well-rounded perspectives that are hard to come by in the sports podcasting realm. The production quality of both their YouTube show and the podcast is top-notch, making my nearly daily engagement with their content not just a habit but a highlight of my day. This is not just another sports podcast; it’s my go-to source for all things Blackhawks. The CHGO Chicago Blackhawks show is a blend of fun, facts, and fantastic hockey insight. I look forward to every episode, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Keep up the phenomenal work, Jay, Greg, and Mario! Your dedication to delivering quality content consistently makes this show a standout.

CubanComet9CHGO Hawks - Elite ContentJay, Greg, and Mario really create a great show with awesome analysis while being incredibly objective. Refreshing listen. Def recommend to all hockey fans, not just Hawk fans.

Gaross18Hawks RockCHGO Hawks is an amazing crew who provide a lot of different insight on the team while keeping the show fun. The entire team shares a ton of knowledge and certainly the best podcast around!
-
harleywritergreat contentLove the podcast. Was specially impressed with the handling of the Corey Perry release, and the jagassery around the ill informed rumors. It’s easy for jerks to hide in their mommy's basement and run their mouths about other peoples troubles. The guys on the cast handled it with decorum and class.Well done, boys. The dork from ESPN who made the comment needs to be fired, publicly.

Liquid TensionGreat Hawks podcast!Love getting to listen to these guys several times a week. Definitely makes my day go by faster! I enjoy listening to all of their takes even if I may disagree with some of them. My only complaint is how long the ad reads are. I totally get doing an ad read for sponsorship and all, but I don’t like that the ad reads per “break” take 3+ minutes. Overall though, great podcast! Highly recommended!

kevinjb42FavoriteThis is my favorite Blackhawks podcast/show. Good content - keep it up guys!

jd1759Love ItAwesome show and makes being a Blackhawks even better.
-
Hartzy194Lack of knowledge of the sportYour constant defense of Seth Jones shows your lack of knowledge of the sport and inability to watch the sport. Start a new hobby, the Blackhawks would be better off without your opinion
-
Gunslinger54Best Blackhawks podcast hands downCHGO has the best and most enjoyable podcast for your Chicago Blackhawks. Great time to be a Hawks fan during the Bedard version of the rebuild!
-

Hooksie79G.O.A.T.sIt feels like a conversation with friends who are Hawks fanatics. Friends I don’t have. My favorite listen. I listen to the Score a whole bunch. I listen to CHGO Sox. I listen to Smartless and Conan. I look forward to this podcast more than any other. I’ve been listening to Jay forever. Love Greg’s sense of humor and Mario’s takes. Was heartbroken when Jay and James Neveau broke up. But, my god, you’ve won me over. Neveau is still missed but you guys are crushin’ it.

Vespagal10Love these GuysI listen to you on all my walks and really enjoy your knowledge, material and banter . I have been a die hard fan since my dad took me as a little girl to the Old Barn. I love when you say, stop the negativity be positive. I am the face of that. Keep up the good work. GO HAWKS‼️🚨

Awful app, awful companyBest CoverageOverall some of the best Hawks coverage around. Always fair and level headed, but they are fans also and feel the same emotions us as fans do. Information, humor, opinions. 10/10

JoeW56My reviewEDIT: Changed from a 3 star to a 1 star and unfollowed the show and all the hosts on Twitter. They start off the show and call me a pudwhack for giving actual constructive criticism. Stop begging for 5 star reviews. If you actually had a good show and people like you, they’ll give you 5 star reviews on their own. The show is great as far as getting information and staying up to date on Blackhawks news. It seems like there is a new episode every other day which is cool. One of the only downsides is that all 3 hosts have the same opinions on everything. There is no dissension between any of them. The sports shows that are the best are the ones that have great debates on hot topics.

Roy821219Love the ShowAs a die hard Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks fan, this show is the best in the business. You guys work very hard to bring us content, thank you.

4lex_balls_69_420Old takes exposed field daySometimes these guys have good insight but usually they are really repetitive and the takes are lukewarm/incorrect. Seems like what they suffer from most is that they put out 5 shows a week so in the off season or when game weeks are light the material is a little boring or repetitive. Leaving a 5 star review in hopes that they take some feedback to make improvements instead of bashing with a 1 star and offering nothing constructive. They do bring is great guests on topics that otherwise get swept under the rug by other outlets (NHL24 review show was great!). The game recap shows are always great too. That being said, I find they constantly contradict themselves between shows and always complain when outsiders/national writers don’t pick the hawks as the best in something. I have an unfair vendetta against Mario. Every time he starts talking I think “here we go again” because he never puts together a coherent, concise thought. He just rambles and pauses to say “…look…” to make it seem like his thought is unique or insightful and usually it’s something everyone already knows. I enjoy their fresh takes on hockey culture and how they seem to be pushing the sport in the right direction.

PodcastReviewer8232023The vibes of this show are terribleThe guys on this podcast like to think they are smarter than they are.

Tipman998Best Hawks coverage around!Easily the best Hawks podcast there is. Great insight about the team, and not afraid to tackle the hard stuff. Have listened since the Madhouse days, and has continued to be my go to show for Hawks news. You guys keep it real and make it as fun as you can, even through the down times. Keep up the great work!
-
holes gloryBedard worshipThese guys would drink Connor bedard’s sweat if it was dripping from his jock strap.
-

CmfjfjfjvjfjfjfnfjgbjdbgjdhvGreat Blackhawks PodTALK MORE HOCKEY! With other sports outlets not able to narrowcast hockey, this podcast is informative and necessary. Not shy about approaching issues surrounding Bobby Hull to Kyle Beach, clear headed, smart and metrics informed hockey talk. But still fun and with a few meatball fan moments. Any chance the team will re-sign Roenick to pair with Bedard?

Gary MillratCovers every aspect including college AHl, and Mgmt..First sports cast I subscribed too from beginning :reminds me of veteran columnists from era long ago . You won't get the depth of experience each has Greg(AHL), Mario( college ) and Jay ( hawks ) from only one show . Not " homers ", don't jump on players bandwagon ( much) , they engage with viewers . They call it as they see it -- no topic off limits . MGMT decisions affect fan base , accountability , respect. Interviews bring inside look if you disagree on occasion ( like me ) you won't get flamed . If you wrote then off after one show try again .

LgjgogjGood show, fix the audioNeed to work on the sound mix and balance between speakers. Some are too quiet. Overall mix is not as loud as other podcasts. Work on the EQ to remove the muddy sound.

19Hossa81Best Blackhawks Podcast There IsI’ve been listening since day one (and to Zawaski for much longer than that). If you’re interested in honest opinions about all things Blackhawks, this is for you. This trio is detached enough from the Hawks organization that they don’t fear for their jobs when criticizing the team (like when responding to Rocky Wirtz’s town hall meltdown). However, they also have enough access to interview Hawks brass (like Kyle Davidson after they won the draft lottery). I’m not sure what these negative reviews are complaining about. Half say they’re virtue signalers for defending sexual assault victims and the LGBTQ+ community. Really? If that’s how you feel, go listen to the frat bros in the Barstool network with all the other inebriates. The other half say they’re Wirtz shills. Those people apparently missed all the episodes during which they’ve pilloried the organization for their (many) missteps on the above mentioned issues. Any Blackhawks fan secure enough to hear someone else’s opinion without having an identity crisis will enjoy this podcast. If you’re not one of those people, put your phone down for a minute and figure out why not.
-
JJHDOTGreat podcastLike the hosts, they play off each other well and offer a decently wide range of analysis. Like that they cover the Hogs and other prospects as well. I listen to almost every show, thanks for all the content, this has been the soundtrack to my afternoon drive home for a while now.
-
vegaroverThey try too hard to be wokeI loved Jay on his previous podcast but this trio really loves to virtue signal whenever they get a chance. I want to hear about the Hawks, not the latest SJW musings.
-
X_HockeyXPass on itHosts know nothing about hockey because they all jumped on the 2010 bandwagon and now they’re stuck. One hosts likes to blasts listeners on Twitter while another will verbally attack listeners. Meanwhile Jay is screaming,”BUY MY BOOK!” Their insiders are Mark and Kelly of the ice crew and no one of importance. Not sure how this show has survived a year without the company canning it.
-
NononsonosnoA great listenAlways a good conversation about what’s going on in Blackhawks land. Good stuff, guys. -Stache

-
chorizo baconTop notchThis is what Blackhawks fans have been waiting for. Coverage unlike anything Chicago hockey has ever seen. Keep it up, I’ll keep being a diehard for this worthwhile content.
-
None AppliedUnprofessional and hard to listen toThis trade deadline has confirmed it for me . . These guys are just a bunch of Homers who say one thing and then a few weeks later say something else to try to keep this failing podcast afloat. Several better choices in town for Blackhawks coverage. They refuse to see the truth because they want to keep their jobs. Boooo!!! Zero stars if I could. So many better choices in Chicago for Blackhawks coverage.
-
Mr CautionTraded journalistic integrity for access to the teamIf you want a show that endlessly and unquestionably supports all things the front office does, this is your jam. If you want more honesty and integrity, look almost anywhere else. These guys essentially trade shameless Kyle Davidson and Danny Wirtz pandering for access to the Blackhawks locker room and press box.
-
Lebowski5FantasticMy go to for Chicago Blackhawks news and opinions.

LoveDesignRWMUsed To And Hopefully Will AgainUp until about a week ago I listened to this pod everyday mosty on youtube. Larely I do not know if they are getting burned out from a long season or what but it’s turned into a whine fest and people saying things with no backup. The running Chris Neil joke, ok Greg, we get it. Not everyone is Bobby Hull (thankfully) or won cups Jay ect. My most enjoyable time is when you all talk about the nhl as a whole. It’s funny how especially Greg and Jay preached being fair and not being mean and they do it more than they realize. That’s it. I will try again in a couple months but for now you lost a long time listener.

wyo73"SMASH THOSE 5 STARS!"I really appreciate the work that Jay, Greg and Mario puts into each show and podcast. This pod makes it very easy to catch up on the Blackhawks, especially since I live out of state (Texas). Hope to hear more content about what's going on in Rockford and throughout the Hawks' prospects.
-
Puller75It’s gotten betterUpdate to my review. These guys have come a long way since when they first started. Awesome show. Always catch the postgame show.

katherinewtBest hawks content in the cityFun for super hockey fans and casual fans alike. Love it!
-
shep kellyGive them a chanceThis CHGO thing might just take over Chicago sports media. These guys are entertaining and know their hockey. Just regular guys …. Like most Hawk fans. I’m going to listen so they can get me through this rebuild.
-
JBeirigerTime Will TellSetting aside the talent - I have to say that the production here is subpar. It’s probably the thing that keeps me from giving this the fifth star. To be even more specific, it’s not all the hosts, it’s just one - Greg. Look, all of these guys know the game. There’s good chemistry and they’re likable and fun. But I don’t want to set and reset the volume level every time it’s Greg’s turn to contribute. Should be an easy fix, but I’ve waited months to hear a fix, so I offer my comment constructively. And when that annoyance goes away, this will be better and will likely be the best Hawks podcast out there. Love the additional access to Blackhawks leadership and others. Jay is the rock on which this is built and Mario is so insightful. Greg is good and maybe better than I realize. Just wish I could hear him better….
-
jsupeBestThis is the best Hawks podcast out there. Been listening everyday since just before the season started. Great opinions, balanced views and just a great all around show.
