baloo1971An excellent film historyRob and his various guests dive deep into the careers of different film artists. Some are well known while others maybe a credit on the screen that you may have noticed but are still important to film history. While not all have an excellent film be their film film, it is still important to remember them. It’s a great show overall if you are a film fan.

Tom PanareseWonderful podcast for film loversI’ve been a fan of Rob’s shows for years and so I knew going in that I was in for a well-produced and entertaining show. The concept is great, especially since not every filmmaker goes out on a classic, and he and his guests show a lot of appreciation for the movies and careers they talk about (even if they aren’t all gems). Moreover, when Rob has guests on who have worked in the industry, he has great conversations with them about their craft, and you learn quite a lot. This is an outstanding show!

Whether you have watched the movie being discussed hundreds of time or are just discovering it, Rob and his guests will make you want to download or stream whichever flick they’re pontificating about (after the episode is done, of course)! This show, and the entire Network of podcasts it shares a feed with, are not to be missed!

KevinLauderdaleThe final films of Hollywood luminaries examinedHost Rob Kelly talks with a wide variety of guests about the final films of Hollywood greats. Appropriately, the films are examined not just as films themselves, but as capstones to the actor's / director's careers. For the Heath Ledger episode, the resulting changes to THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS and what it meant artistically was discussed. For the Sam Shepard ep NEVER HERE, he interviewed the film's writer/director Camille Thoman and producer Corey Moosa. Lots of detalls and affection for the films.

DESARThe Martini Shot podcast on actors & directorsThis podcast covers the last film for an actor’s (director’s) career which could be for better or for worst. We always hear how someone “made it” in the industry but we rarely hear about how they exited the stage. Very entertaining! Five Stars! I say check it out!
