Please, if you’re going to do a podcast with Travel in the title, look up the correct pronunciation of countries and towns you’ve never heard of. This isn’t the first time, but Ka-ZAK-astan for a country pronounced KHA-zak-stan is just silly, especially with the extra a.

This is one of my top favorite podcasts. Sandi’s storytelling is engaging, compassionate and immersive, and she chooses cases that I’ve not heard anywhere else. I’m not sure how she does that when so many podcasts tell the same stories, but it’s a compelling feature that keeps me wanting more. She frequently says she’s not a professional, but her diction is clear and her cadence so well-measured that it’s always a euphonious experience. Keep ‘em coming, please.

I recently found this podcast and I’m so happy with it! To begin with, there is no unnecessary banter or giggles or cringe. The host has a good voice and gets right to the point and tells stories that I haven’t heard elsewhere. I have listened to many of her episodes and am on a mission to hear them all!!

I’ve always loved true crime and have listened to many podcasts. Twisted Travel is one of my top favorites! Sandi is a great storyteller and I appreciate that she dives right into the stories. Her voice is so comforting and the information is fascinating. This is a must listen!

Sandi’s story telling is really detailed and she doesn’t add a bunch of extra babbling. Her voice is very soothing to listen to, if listening to a crime description can be soothing- hahaha. It’s one of my favorite true crime podcasts.

Love love love this podcast. Sandy is so sweet and her storytelling is superb. She has the loveliest voice, perfect for podcasting. My only readon im giving 4 and not 5 stars is because sometimes the sound quality is a little weird. Her parts come off very soft and then the ads are SUPER LOUD. Its worth it, though. A very factual podcast with her opinions sprinkled only here and there. Love every bit of it. Keep it up, Sandy!!!

I love Sandi Allen’s style. She has a very calming voice but every once in a while she gets a little animated and I love it! She can be sassy. Her stories are very interesting and not very long. Sometimes that’s all my attention span can handle!😁Keep up the good work!

i had to write a review because i found this podcast through Crimelines from the new years special! i LOVED the format because it gives you a taste of several different pods in one episode which makes it SO much easier to find new pods. it’s easy to find recommendations for great pods on the internet, but i’m the kind of picky listener that has to listen to a snippet first before deciding if i like the content and narrator’s style. this pod was one of my favorites from the special, and when i was genuinely disappointed about the cliff hanger ending i knew it was a good podcast! it’s genius, i was planning on listening to more of this pod anyway but i might’ve waited a bit if it weren’t for the cliff hanger. now i need to know how that story ends! then i’ll start from the beginning, thanks for the new binge!! :) side note for all podcasters: please please please do more of those compilation-style collaboration episodes with other pods!! the idea is brilliant and it’s clearly effective at bringing in new listeners! definitely a win-win situation for everyone.

The content is very good and Sandi has a nice voice for podcasting, but I can’t listen anymore. Not only does she sound like she’s reading a script, but she constantly stumbles over her words. I guess it’s too much trouble to try re-recording but by not doing so. She’s putting out a sloppy, unprofessional product.

Have recently found this podcast and am really digging. Particular thanks to Sandi for the episode on saturation diving and her pleasant voice. She makes you feel like a friend and pulls you right into her rich stories

I listen to tons of true crime and this podcast is basically perfect. Great voice, solid research, excellent storytelling. Plus, I’ve heard several completely new cases while binging this!

I listen to podcasts all day. True Crime. She lives on a boat. It could be you or me. Her voice is a little quiet, but the occasional waves bumping the hull put me to sleep. Don’t pass this one up no matter if any technical issues bother you. It’s worth it. I’m putting my money where my mouth is on this one. First time in 6 months. First time ever. That should tell you something. I’m a professional podcast listener. I ain’t no amateur.

This is such a refreshing, no nonsense podcast. The stories are well laid out and researched. The narrator has a great, soothing (instead of irritating or harsh) voice, and she does a great job telling the stories. I e sent this podcasts to several friends and family members that also enjoy true crime.

I absolutely love this podcast! The background lulling noise of the sailboat with the waves gently lapping against the hole, are a calming sound to the often sad story being told. I wish these would come out weekly, but I understand that they take a lot of time to produce. One of my top three out of hundreds that I listen to!

She is original in her true crime choices. Shows are not to long and not to short. Love her voice. My new favorite podcast!

Excellent podcast, no doubt! Sandy doesn’t waste time with an over abundance of banter, nor is the show overinflated with too many ads, which can interrupt the flow of the show. Sandy stays true to form in telling each tale and keeps listeners, me being one of them, continually coming back for more. Highly recommended.

I’m in love with Sandi’s podcast! I first listened to the “Khamar Daban Incident” and was instantly hooked. Sandi’s soothing voice drew me in, as I was winding down from a stressful day. The tone of her voice reminds me of that of NPR, and I just adore Sandi! 🥰 She delivers facts with a sprinkle of her personal testimony, which is always appreciated. You can tell she is a good soul, and I thank her for telling these unfortunate stories of twisted and sometimes lost souls. 🫶🏽 keep up the great work!

There are few podcasts that I listen to at 1x speed, and this is my favorite one to do so. Sandi has an incredibly calming voice and informative nature. Truly enjoy her form of storytelling.

I found this podcast by sheer accident and it has become one of my favorites, well researched, interesting, unique crimes from all around the world, Sandy tells it well and in a soothing voice, no opinions, just straight up storytelling. I appreciate this so much.

Absolutely great content! Stories are straight to the details with out a whole lot of frill. Minimal interruptions for commercials, which is a nice surprise as a lot of podcasts are constantly stopped for commercials. Sandy has a great speaking voice as well as an amazing ability to tell a story. I also like the balance between the unknown outcome cases as well as cases with a resolution. Great job picking cases to share!
