Steve41106Excellent PodcastI love listening to these two talk about golf. The little tips on what to think about or what to focus on has been so helpful.
-
Tbone1oneWonderful podcasts!Great insights and thoughtful comments on how to be a better golfer. Each topic is well covered with practical suggestions for improvement.
-
IzlaBThoughtful and minute for minute the best golf improvement podcastI've been a listener since the beginning. Each episode is an evergreen golf improvement nugget that golfers of every level will find thought provoking. Offers some good advice that can be used in other parts of non-golf life.
-
C GavinInsightfulJon and Adam are here to help you improve your golf game. The episodes are in-depth and great discussions on various topics. All the info is meant to help you improve at golf. A+

t3rr1nBest podcast to learn how to playAdam and Jon are great. This podcast is full of information that is useable when practicing and learning how to play golf. The advice isn’t overly technical and gives drills that can be used on the range and strategies that can be used on the course. I can credit The Sweet Spot for helping me get from the 20s into the single digits HCP in about one year. Thank you for putting this together guys!
-
Ryumagoo goatThe best golf improvement podcast there isThis podcast has separated my golfing life into two distinct eras - Before Sweet Spot (B.S.S) and After Sweet Spot (ok let’s quickly move past the misfortune of that acronym). The sheer amount of golfing knowledge I have crammed into my brain from this podcast is stunning. The approach strategy episode fundamentally changed the way I play golf (and lowered my scores overnight), the discussions of impact laws changed what I care about in my swing (and my goodness it is a relief to stop obsessing over swing path), the managing expectations series changed my definition of good shots and bad shots, and it should be illegal to go into a club fitting without listening to the Equipment Education series. If you love golf and care about improving, this podcast is an absolute must-listen. Thank you Adam and Jon.

GutstringmanLove your show but….hi Fellas, I absolutely love your podcast. It’s he;[ed me dive deeper into course management and happily into the physics of equipment and ball flights etc etc. I particularly love the podcast relating to pressure and performance. I am a professional musician and have had the “fortune” of having to deal with the pressure of performing at a high level infant of thousands of people at a time. My question is this: I started golf at 9 years old. I’m an athletic guy and have a good swing. I’m an 8 handicap and have been for quite some time. I can carry a ball with a driver between 245-260 so I have plenty of distance to enjoy. I am also a good iron player and as well a very good putter. I have a multitude of short game tools to choose from that lead to a decent average of “one putts”. UNTIL….. I have to deal with anything between 30 and 60 yards. I avoid those distances like crazy - it seems like pitching is just a different swing all together…I hear tons of sometime conflicting advice and even w/ professional instruction hasn’t really helped. ( my coach is Division 2 golf coach w/many NCAA’s under his belt…he is great. Can you please do a show devoted to pitching techniques and decision making stategies etc etc…it’s the reason I can’t get below an 8 handicap. Thanks so much!!! LOVE THE PODCAST!
-
justsports1Great PodcastReally love this podcast! It always has great information and gets me thinking about so much more aspects of golf and honestly makes me a better golfer! Love all the practical ways to improve and Adam and Jon know a ton about the technical side as well. Also has great guests! Keep up the good work guys!

NJ HACKERTour tempo worksLove this show and I’ve got John’s book as well. Listened to the tempo episode and was coincidentally struggling with my swing. Decided to buy the tour tempo app and between that and one address correction I’m hitting it very flush at the moment. Very happy with my purchase and it was John’s endorsement that won me over. Thanks for the honest recommendation!! Keep the great content coming!!
-
D8wf8invbToo much stuffThe word “stuff” is used way too much when there is an actual word that could be used. Just listen! Other than that Jon and Adam are well spoken. Also, it is mentioned a golfer should be able to drive a ball at least 260 to be able to reach scratch. What about women? We listen to this pod too and we are left out. Anyway, the “stuff” ( I mean information) 😀 from this pod does have real value, picking out what applies to your own game.
-
jwpenlandWorth its quantity of bits in goldJon is a thoughtful and generous expert amateur golfer. Adam is a golfing thought leader and in my opinion is one of the great teachers in the game. His ground breaking approach to the game is the answer that so many golfers have been looking for. If you are passionate about golf and desire to shoot lower scores, this podcast is worth a listen and sometimes a re-listen. Highly recommend.
-
hugmeyetGame changerI found this podcast less than a month ago and I’ve caught up, all the way until Feb of 2022. Big fan, bought the books, I’m still in my first 24 months of golf and playing a wild 19 handicap!

Peach in Hampstead MDSweet Spot Golf PodcadtI’d rate this one of the better, if not the best golf podcast out there. A good mix of topics, but focused on exploring areas of the game where those looking to improve are interested. The recent episode on grip was excellent. I also recommend the two part series on driver improvement, and the episode on shot selection. John and Adam are terrific and easy to listen to. I look forward to every new episode.

themaker03Well done, however…I really enjoy your podcast, and have really enjoyed your guests. You ask them good questions and don’t talk over them which never works in this format. I will say, however, there are two things that I’ve noticed: your visceral avoidance of getting involved with any topic that might have controversy is a bit curios. Say what you want, when you want, and how you want it. Making your way through this world trying not to offend people is futile. Just be you. The second thing is when you have guests, there is too much time talking about what you do and how you do things (John) and bringing the topic back to you. Constantly. I mostly cherry pick the episodes where you have guests and I want to hear what they have to say how it pertains to the general golfing population, no offense John, but I’m not really interested to hear about your bunker play or your angle of attack on chips when you have an expert in house. It shouldn’t be, and isn’t always about you. It’s actually getting a bit frustrating.
-
raise raise bluffEnlightening and entertainingIf golf has a grip on you this is the podcast for you. Long formate discussions on the intricacies of the most complicated game ever. It’s a wonderful show for golf geeks.
-
timjoebobFinally! This is a tremendous podcast with extremely helpful, practical information. I know my game will be better by listening. Thanks, Jon and Adam!
-
TracheaIt’s all about IntentHaving read Adam’s Practice Manual, I decided to give the Podcast a listen. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see how much game improvement can be garnered from concepts such as practice habits, strategic thinking, and mindfulness. Both Jon & Adam have become valued resources. If there’s one underlying commonality to what they and their guests bring to the table, it’s that INTENT is a powerful learning principal.
-
meanlilboyOutstanding unique perspectiveI really love their unique approach to educating and informing golfers of all skill levels.
-
The Independent MindFrom hack to scratchThis is an excellent podcast for all players, from hack to scratch. The “managing expectations” part is especially good for those higher handicap hack players, but there are many excellent and technical shows that give good advice for lower handicap players to approach the scratch mark. Love the different approaches both John and Adam bring to the table! And Adam, I never knew that stableford was largely unknown form of scoring in the US! Helpful since I now live here. Great job gents! Keep it up!
-
JonsmonsAwesome!Great content, I have listened to every episode but the Latest on how wind, altitude, moisture impact your ball flight BLEW MY MIND! Really great information!!

ST O’BAlways worth a ListenI one-hundred percent recommend this podcast. It’s always informative and makes me aware of golf playing and equipment perspectives from guests that I previously would’ve had limited access. The two hosts always make all the information relatable. I look forward to each new episode.
-
Phillies2011champsFantastic!This podcast is the most informative one around for all things golf. Adam and Jon are very practical (no pun intended) and knowledgeable.
-
BeakidagainSimple yet innovativeI listen to a lot of golf podcasts. Nobody is talking like these guys. I am improving just listening.
-
dfrimmOne host better than otherI enjoy Adam’s thoughts because it’s more informative coming from someone who is an experienced swing instructor. Jon just doesn’t understand how to interview people and speak about golf that’s unrelated to his own swing. Plus, Jon’s voice is very monotone to listen to, whereas Adam knows how to speak with inflection to get his point across.
-
AnthonyqwertLove this showI have learned a lot listening to this show. Really like the episodes about strategy.
-
g$sniperSeriously great podcastI look forward to new episodes every week. Absolutely love this podcast and how they present information. It’s like a free lesson from top instructors.
-
MudntaperSo much here. Excellent resourceI’ve been listening to Adam and Jon for the last year. Absolutely outstanding golf podcast. You know it’s great when you re-listen to episodes as you’re waiting for the next release. Personally, I like the format because they don’t tell you how to do something. They share concepts, research, and experience to help you find your way. Their personal web offerings are also outstanding. This is an amazing resource for golfers looking to learn and improve.
-
joseph nausIntelligent and Compassionate Golf Improvement DiscussionI listen to a lot of golf podcasts, and this is my favorite. Both Adam and Jon take a very objective and sober view of golf improvement. Jon takes the lead in discussion. He is a scratch/+ competitive Am and Adam is a former pro and teaching pro who wrote the bestselling Golf Practice Manual. Both have websites. They both have radio voices. In this evergreen podcast, they take deep dives into course management, mental game, how to go about making a swing change, driver technique, increasing clubhead speed, competitive golf, wedge work, putting, etc etc. Some of the very best in the golf world often join them, e.g. Sasho McKenzie and Lou Stagner. If you are like me and are passionate about getting better at golf and your experience hasn’t been one of linear improvement, you may find these discussions are more sober and compassionate than the popular podcasts about how golfers go from 10 to scratch in 1 or 2 seasons (even if true, a complete statistical anomaly). Jon and Adam both discuss their trials and tribulations as golfers. In one episode, one of the most real moments I’ve heard on any podcast, they both recounted humiliating moments as juniors when their tempers got the best of them; and, consistent with the show, how they’ve overcome this. I love this show! I’m so grateful for it. If you want to learn and improve, give it a listen. (And because it is evergreen, you can choose whichever subject you need work on). Might I suggest course management with founder of DECADE, Scott Fawcett?
-
Jdoster06Manage your expectations… on the courseThis podcast is excellent and helps those that listen seriously understand all that goes into golf.. Jon and Adam do a great job and have a plethora of very smart people come on.
-
MHutch84The key to my improvementOver the last year I’ve been able to take my handicap from a 10 to a 1.6, and a huge part of that improvement I owe to this podcast. By far the most insightful golf instruction podcast I’ve yet to find.
-
BigbenjaminOLike the old Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups ads“Two great tastes that taste great together” Followed both of these guys on social media before they started this podcast. Great alone…but even better together. They will improve your golf game!
-
KintsuruFrustration of LearningThis edition really hit home. Spent a lot of years practicing “golf swing” and wasted a lot of physical potential. Now that I’m older and have incorporated many of the drills in Adam’s Practice Manual, I feel like I’m on the verge of a breakthrough in 2022. In any event, I’m now on the right path, thanks to Jon & Adam!
-
LisaIsHereForItMust-listen for every golfer! No matter the topic, you’re guaranteed to gain something from every episode - can’t recommend The Sweet Spot enough. Keep up the great work Adam and Jon! 🙌
-
Richard par for the courseReally enjoy the podcast.Love the shows.
-
SmmaddalenaListen weekly to and from workJon and Adam are great together. Have learned a ton and aspire to be where Jon is at, playing high level regional golf tournaments. Got as low as 3.9 currently a 6. Let’s see where this ride takes me!
-
AZ 19692007Best Golf PodcastJust amazing! I cannot express how impressed I am with all the information provided on a weekly basis. Thanks!!!
-
dshi672My new favorite golf podcastFinally something different. Most of the information we consume as golfers is conflicting swing tips. Jon and Adam dive more into golf strategy and information that is backed by science and data. It's relevant to everyone no matter your handicap or swing type. If you're a golf nerd who wants to understand how tour pros approach the game, this podcast is for you. Tons of great information on how to lower your scores.
-
Dutcha’s DinerGood stuff for Golf nerdsIf you are really into all the parts of the golf swing this is for you. The information on the path and club face are very useful.
-
Jaybirdy2810Losers mentalityTwo stars because there is a little positive that there is some helpful tips in here and they seem to have an idea of what they’re talking about. The negative: What a losers mentality, basically encouraging people to not try and go for scratch, saying it’s unrealistic. How about try to build the game and letting people have a dream. Such a losers mindset. These guys probably hand out participation trophies as well.
-
golf03431Good content but…Generally good perspective but they often forget to apply theories to the larger golf skill level. They get lost in there own games. For example, scratch golf episodes leave out maybe the most important element: play the appropriate tees and leave ego out of it, be honest with your distance numbers. Launch monitor episode felt like an infomercial. Loved Adam Young’s book and continually pick it up for a refresher and this podcast nearly replicates the insight found in his book.
-
otto6457Thank you for the scoring level podcast.I’m coming out of a self imposed hiatus of 9 years away from the game. I completely burned out playing competitive golf at the State amateur level. I threw my clubs in the trunk of my car after missing qualifying for the State Mid-Am in 2012 and didn’t pull them out again until a few months ago. I’m just coming back and finding it incredibly frustrating. The game is now so much more difficult, but my expectations are so much higher that every shot is a disappointment. Your podcast was the perfect medicine for my reality. My expectations are completely out of the range of my current game. That sounds simple, but it wasn’t obvious to me being a captive of my own mind. I may never get my game back to where it was, but at least I’m going to be honest with myself and where my game is and what I need to expect. Thanks again for the wake-up call. I’m loving the content.
