Do you ever wonder how someone got to where they are? How they overcame struggles or who some of their inspirations might have been along the way? Stable connections is my quest in flipping the conversation to focus more on the things we have in common as individuals, as well as a community. This podcast offers a space for personal perspective and creates room for both the speaker and the listener to share, learn, and process together. Each person featured is asked "What is something you'd like to see evolve or change within the community and how can you help create that change. Awesome podcast, awesome host!
Stable Connections is such a great inside look into the stories and lives of equine industry professionals. Entertaining, insightful and real, it is a must-listen for anyone in the horse world. As a listener, I was incredibly honored when Shonna asked me to be a guest on the podcast. She made me feel comfortable and safe to tell my story and is a delightful person to hang out with for the day! Thank you, Shonna, for all you do!

    Inspiring
I live in the Bay Area in CA, and this podcast has been so inspiring for my journey in natural horsemanship. I often find myself listening along in my car and yelling, “YES!”, delighted to hear my own experience of the spiritual truths brought to us by horses spoken to so eloquently by the interviewees. This is a tough area to make a living and still have time for a horse; with the expansion of tech causing the cost of living and housing prices to be really extreme. Listening to the stories shared by folks around here on how they’ve made their lives work to support their love of horses has just about saved me - I’m not kidding. Super grateful to have found this podcast and to hear the incredible life stories of folks aspiring to do right by the spirit of the horse. 10/10!

    A fresh new angle
So many equestrian podcasts exclusively feature very famous trainers and riders. I love that Shonna sheds light on every corner and element of the industry: farriers, body workers, grooms, assistants, non-profit owners. It gives listeners much more of a 360 degree view of the village that it takes.

    Stable Connections
I love Stable connections! It’s so fun hearing from different people and how their stories can be different but inevitably we all want the same thing! Adding the question of “what would you like to see evolve or change and what can you do to create that change” is clever and helps the podcast stand out from others!
