UPDATE: TREASURE HUNT REVEALED!Cavalry Audio has unveiled a real-life digital treasure hunt - the clues to which are hidden across the nine episode first season of X Marks The Spot. The prize for solving? $50,000.Make sure that you’re subscribed to the podcast and following all of Cavalry’s social accounts as to not miss any clues & hints along the way! What are you waiting for? Go find that treasure! The first and only podcast series that investigates the real life treasure hunt that captivated the globe. The podcast follows the incredible story of Forrest Fenn, a New Mexico art dealer who, in 2010, reportedly buried $2 million in gold somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. Fenn then published an autobiography that contained a six stanza poem that allegedly gave clues to the exact location to anyone clever enough and brave enough to figure it out. The hunt enticed hundreds of thousands of searchers from around the world, cost five unfortunate souls their lives, and spawned at least three lawsuits in the wake of the treasure’s discovery in June of 2020. The series contains never-before-heard interviews from people who were close with Fenn, treasure hunters who spent years in the chase, and even a few who claim to know where the treasure chest was buried.

    Amazing Podcast
By far the best podcast I’ve come across concerning the Forrest Fenn Treasure or treasure hunts in general. I really hope they do another season with more updates and background. Would also be very interested if they did another podcast about a different treasure hunt. Very well done and interesting.

    Awesome series
Great listen. If you get to episode 9 - fast forward through the first 8 minutes of his COVID nonsense.

    Had potential, but...
A story about a real-life treasure hunt?! Yes! And the first few episodes really delivered... But then, two whole episodes that were just nutty people ranting about their unfounded theories, imaginary interactions with Forest Fenn and the treasure’s Finder, lame and problematic excuses for why they “knew where the treasure was” but didn’t actually retrieve it... It was irritating and exhausting to listen to.. The podcast narrator really turned me off with a poetic (and lengthy) homage to Kobe Bryant, Australian bush fires, Tom Hanks getting Covid, then flippantly describes the public “watching a murder on tv” RE: George Floyd, then protesters devolving into “rioting, looting and violence.” Wow, miss the point, much? Then he draws the line between that murder and the “tragedy” of the treasure being found. Seriously? And the final episode is an ad for a new treasure hunt the podcast is orchestrating. Could’ve been intriguing, but they totally lost me.

    Ahh So Interesting!!!
When I was little I was totally invested in trying to solve this poem, and now it’s so cool to see where everything is at now. This was put together so well! Can’t wait for more!

    Captivating storytelling!
I drive for work and listen to countless hours of podcasts for years now. This is a great podcast! I love the story and the way it’s being told here just keeps you reeled right into it!

    Still fun
I get a kick out of this unique adventure tale. I had a brief fling with the thrill of the chase and deeply appreciate the creative and challenging gift Forrest Fenn gave us all. I like how the structure of the podcast is presenting a “solve”, and shares the creative processes and solves of other treasure hunters. Endless possibilities! Only one answer!

    So fun!
You may have heard about this treasure on other platforms, but this podcast walks through multiple processes for actually solving the riddle. It also gives some insight into why Forrest Fenn was always looking for a game in life. Well done and fascinating the way so many people felt seen by him to the point where they were convinced cryptic communication in the media was meant for them! It’s a bummer there is some scandal surrounding the treasure itself, but I suppose that goes with the territory when you motivate people with a large prize with high dollar value. I also loved the connection to the Kit Williams book “Masquerade” that I loved so much as a child.

    Making facts up
This podcast is pretending to be factual, but in reality is making a lot of claims that have no basis in fact. Additionally, the official Calvary Audio social media accounts are promoting this using irresponsible insinuations, like “did a podcast host find Forrest Fenn’s treasure?” This is extremely irritating to someone who has spent a lot of time documenting the facts of this treasure hunt and the reality of what happened in the find. Add to that, the actual editing and substance of this podcast is mixed into many disparate threads that don’t seem to connect and is broken into episodes about the “clues” which is haven’t been enumerated by any official source - making structure where there shouldn’t be, and not making structure where there should be. What a mess!

    Sourced but Forest fenn
The first five minutes of first episode is a commercial for gold. Not even joking. Then nonstop heroization of forest fenn that, I would be willing to bet, was straight from forest fenn. Awful.

    Episode 5 was brutal
Was enjoying this podcast but Episode 5 was a rough listen. The episode was 3/4 the rantings of a delusional person.

Fascinating portrait of a polarizing man!
Really excited to hear where this one is going. Forrest was such a complex figure it’s so hard to discern fact from fiction. The podcast does a good job presenting different sides of the search and some of the most interesting characters of those who went searching for it.

    Very good podcast
Great production values and a very accurate narrative of all things related to the Chase. Enjoyable.
