Such a great podcast. I’ve caught every episode. Hoots, Caelan, and Mandy have such great chemistry, and riff so well together. It’s always a joy to listen to them, even when the topics are heavy. I really appreciate their reverence for the victims of the people they often cover, and the special moments they horror are truly special person. Their Marsha P. Johnson episode is one of my favorites.

The one stars are from moron cishets who cannot listen to any queer people or women. It’s really well researched but it’s about the filth yall. We love

Audio could be a little louder

The show is unlistenable due to the hosts’ voices sounding like nails on a chalkboard. At least they don’t know what they talking about either… Terrible.

Truly my favorite podcast- wish y’all uploaded more though (I don’t have anything half as good to fill the gaps between episodes)

Great concept, but couldn’t even get thru a full episode as the hosts sounded so obnoxious.

This show is fantastic, it makes hearing all the sad and depressing things people did bearable. As they finally get their names dragged with plenty of comedic justice.

This podcast pulls up the nastiest people and drags those corpses through the mud. Our fabulous hosts provide context and comedy to these harrowing stories, that leaves one appreciative of deaths cold grasp. Come dance on some graves with us!

I, like some of the others, am a first-time podcast rater, and I’ve only been listening for a few days, but I am HOOKED! I didn’t think it was possible to find queer joy, macabre humor and deeply-felt compassion for victims of injustice. I am a life-long citizen of OKC, and appreciated how well done the Timothy McVeigh episode was when it came to drawing the through line of white supremacy. At the same time, I’ve never laughed so hard while driving that I almost swerved my car. 🤣 love your work. Thank you for all you do!

I Will start off by saying I’ve never rated a podcast but The 3 of you are iconic. I recommend this podcast to everyone I talk to and am a religious listener. I just listened to the Tigers episode and cried laughing on the way to work. I love the fact that y’all tell the true tale of all these people so that they get no peace in death. Every worm feast is amazing. Keep going. Someday I hope you have a video format because it would bring it from 5 stars to 10.

I hosted a humble nerd party at my home near the end of July. SOMEONE at my party recommended this podcast, and everyone checked it out, and loves it! However, I’ve asked everyone who could have possibly been there to suggest it, and the response is all the same! No one knows who, but they are all grateful listeners now. A necessary corrective to our celebrity-obsessed culture’s tendency to rehabilitate the reputations of society’s malefactors once they’re safely in the ground. Some episodes are RIPped from today’s headlines where the body’s still warm, others target historical creeps and weirdos long turned to dust. The banter is amusing, the hosts stay mostly on topic, and the theme song slaps!

Listened to the Vlad episode after reading The American Conservative’s piece “Learning From Vlad the Impaler” because it’s important to listen to both sides

Since I gave up alcohol for my “Jesus-year,” I graciously live vicariously through Caelan, Hoots, and Mandy and the informed chaos that is this podcast. I’ve laughed a ton, and even shed a few tears, but never am I not entertained by this Queer Trio of hysterical maniacs with their unique take on history. Sign me up for every episode to come; this podcast really sets the tone for the week ahead, and I can’t get enough of it. #WormFeast #DisRespectTheDead

I am not a podcast person, but when three of the best video essayists on youtube come together to drag history’s worst trash goblins, I can’t say no. Hilarious, delightfully irreverent, and unapologetically queer— Respect The Dead frequently leaves me screaming with laughter, often on the subway. Best part of my week, hands down!

This podcast is the only thing that makes my Mondays bearable. Keep up the awesome work!

An incredible concept, and very entertaining! I love the chemistry between the three co-hosts and if I owned a cat it would definitely be in danger from the multiple spit takes I’ve done while listening.

Look, some people are terrible but have a great PR team in life (and death) and we need to be reminded that just because you died that doesn’t mean you’re suddenly a great person. So here is the podcast just for that. Learn about all sorts of horrible historic figures who still get way more adoration than they deserve. Plus the hosts are hilarious, and have great chemistry between them.

A cathartic romp through the hall of shame of those who deserve no peace in death. Recommended!

There are many podcasts that talk about terrible people and terrible things that we have no individual power to change overnight. But this podcast allows me to look back on terrible people of the terrible past with the reassurance that they are terribly and deservedly dead. 5 stars, no notes.

I had stopped listening to podcasts altogether for well over a year until I was recommended this one. If you enjoy socially conscious but raunchy discourse this one is a real banger.

This podcast had me laughing at my desk and struggling to breathe. The commentary is SO snarky and beautiful. I have no doubt that there is potential for this show to be one of the big names in the future. The hosts have an amazing natural chemistry and their storytelling and research truly shine. I’m beyond excited whenever a new episode drops, even if they are covering a person I’ve never heard of before. I’m telling everyone I know about Respect the Dead.

A delightful way to spend a good 3/4ths of an hour! All three hosts are fabulously charming and dissect each episode’s subject with cutting wit and deadly jokes with the added bonus of teaching me a little thing or two about the featured person.

Leaving five stars and a review like a good podcast listener.

I love this podcast already. Found it and listened to the first three episodes straight away, and then sent one to my sister to discuss. It feels so cathartic hearing terrible people get dragged, and the hosts have such good chemistry. Recommend highly
