Hanna1098Thank YouHello, I’m Hanna. I’m a grateful member of Al-Anon. I just got into listening to podcasts in the world of Al-anon and AA. There aren’t enough out there. Love listening to you two at work. Recovery is nothing without this community. Lots of love.

Baltic AmberThe universe works in mysterious waysThis week my 24 year old son discovered he has alcohol-induced hepatitis. He had just decided to deal with his alcohol dependency when he learned his life went from a dire situation to a deadly one. As his major support person, I dug around looking for a podcast that would tell me what I need to do right now. How amazing it was to find your podcast and your unique perspectives on recovery. I hope I can get him to listen, but know I will be catching up on the last year and your sage advice. Thank you!

Posiedon777Insightful and Entertaining!Wow, I’m so blown away! Listening to these two young women share about their lives in a raw and vulnerable way is so inspiring. Sierra and Hannah Jane are naturally easy to listen to and their stories are so relatable. There is a genuine sweetness and an inner strength that shines forth from both women as they discuss their personal joys and challenges. Anyone who listens to them will take away something positive and a way to take action in their own life! I look forward to each new episode and always learn something new about them and about myself.

ThanksKBDetached is so helpful! When I first saw this Pod Cast offering I figured I would learn some things and gain insight into my own and other’s pathways in Al Anon and my qualifiers; and that’s all true. Unexpectedly also, when I listened to Detached, I started to feel emotionally more connected to my own feelings. Some anxieties I didn’t realize I was carrying, started to soften. I am so grateful for the honesty of Hannajane and Sierra on their sobriety pathways. Their interviews with guests have also been grounding. Just knowing we are in a community of people exploring the awakening that sobriety process can inspire, is so humanizing and connective. I now really look forward to these episodes and listening. What these young women are doing is brave. I celebrate their courage to be in process and, to be of service by sharing their stories.

Fran B,Hopeful for the future of humanityI’ve listened to the riveting episodes of Detached with a growing sense of hope for humanity. Sierra and Hannajane are two very bright young women who are putting themselves on the line with regard to their struggles with addiction and with becoming adult, aware, caring human beings. Their conversation is by turns, raw, revelatory, optimistic, mirthful, sardonic and down to earth. I’m hearing their dialogue, and the respect and care with which they interact, as emblematic of their generation. I love their willingness to let us all in. They pull no punches. If these two represent a generation now taking its turn as having influence in our world, then it will be a more evolved, more compassionate world. I am heartened.
