jazmyne007Heather MackI went to high school with tommy Schaefer and it was such a shock to everyone that grew up with him bc he was not that kind of person. He was cool with literally everyone. After his girlfriend Rachel died right after high school in (car accident I’m Africa) he LOST it! That’s when he started dating heather and everyone knew heather was crazy af! It’s so sad that they did this! Heather is a master manipulator and always has been. But I’m pretty sure once then get back to the US they will be charged here too bc Sheila was a socialite. I have both of them on social media and tommy is super apologetic on Facebook but heather seems to not care most the time and acts like she’s living the life in prison. Just sick. I feel so bad for Stella. I enjoyed listening to this considering I know tommy personally.

dbftworthWhat the actual heckit took me a while to determine if this was a serious podcast or a complete joke. The worst content the worst audio, I don’t even understand what I’m listening to... it is a true crime to be this bad at podcasting
-
TakeoutblondeLove itI love the show! My only complaint is that Matt tends to have no idea that his audio level goes wayyy up when he yells into the mic. So, I do understand the other complaints about this. Matt, ya gotta pay attention to those audio levels. Other than that, I love the show. ❤️ pleeeeeeease come back!

TexasAggie95VOCAL FRY and InaccuraciesI will admit that I only listened to about 3/4 of the episode related to Darlie Routier before I had to just stop. It was too painful to listen to all of her inaccuracies. And the vocal fry. Oh, the poor vocal chords. When you can’t even get the ages of the victims correct, that’s inexcusable. The victims were 5 and 6 years old; not 4 and 7. How hard is that? She didn’t report she was not awakened by a perpetrator sitting on top of her. She reported she was awakened by her son nudging her shoulder and saying “Mommy”. As a matter of fact, one of the biggest sources of contention during her testimony was her insisting that she did not recall any of the attack at all and used the word “frightened” not “fighting” on the 911 tape. The prosecution was insistent that she had conflicting reports and said that she was fighting the perpetrator when she was insistent that she did not recall the perpetrator attacking her or the boys. What about the evidence that the inside of her mouth was sore and bruised which was documented by the nurses at Baylor? There is speculation that chloroform was used and explains the lack of awareness and sleeping through the attack. Where is that information? The fibers that were found on the knife were never matched to the window screen. That’s a rumor. Read the transcript. They are speculated to have come from fingerprint dust. Did you even listen to the 911 tape? Did you read the trial transcript? It’s available for you to read. I don’t really care which side of this you fall on, at least report the facts correctly. To take on the responsibility of a true crime podcast and report inaccuracies and false information is irresponsible. Hearing more about your feelings and reactions more than facts that were involved in the case is a waste of time. Now, drink some water, rest your vocal cords and find something else to do with your time because you’re clearly wasting it.

boatjmTerrible ResearchI listened to the episode regarding Ted Binion. The female lead knew NOTHING about this case. She basically read from a google search which was completely inaccurate. She then didn’t understand what she just read. She also giggles way to much and acts as if her stupidity is entertaining. I would of liked to hear the male leads position, but she does not let him speak. The caller from Vegas was somewhat knowledgeable but again the chick would not let her speak. I couldn’t get through the episode. Painful Podcast.

Madbrooke2Crazy but GoodI’m on episode 12 and the sound that had been low quality has gotten so much better. I do think Matt’s voice sounds like Todd Lowe from Gilmore Girls. 😂 Thanks for a different spin on gruesome cases!
-
RachriconVoice fryI can’t even focus on the story because of her voice fry. Nails on a chalkboard.
-
jtr27No thanks. Next.Audio is pretty bad and hard to understand the man.
-
havasuesueBad audioI enjoy the topics but the audio is bad and they talk over each other which makes it hard to hear.
-
Garret9263BAudible CringeHow the hell have you been doing this for over a year, and your audio sounds like a banshee screaming into a microphone? Figure it out,buy some ACTUAL equipment and keep the screaming out of it. My ear drums are bleeding from the woman thinking that SCREAMING INTO THE MICROPHONE IS CUTE with the additon of vocal fry. Also, have the guy not smoke an pound of pot before he records. He sounds obliviouis. Go back to the drawing board and try it again, or better yet... call it quit.

Donna207BINGE-WORTHY - def a 5 stars for thinkersA lot goes into these podcasts in terms of research and smart discussions over the crime, the morality, punishment, etc. Definitely has my attention and I am into listening to true crime podcasts!
-
HooverpalefaceToo much talking-Not enough infoThey just talk back and forth. Not facts. It’s a bunch of “oh, I didn’t know that!”, and “oh, I didn't hear that about the case...” Opinions are fine, but if that’s all you do, and you go back and forth, then it’s not interesting. The sound quality is also very terrible. The girl seems to want to talk over everyone. Had to delete. Sorry.
-
yckir12Very dry and boringThe two hosts talk to much and not a lot of info, it seems like they don't know what they're talking about. Would not recommend!!! -2 stars ✨ definitely one of the worst true crime podcasts out there

-
MsLetranVery entertainingJust listened to the Utterly Ridiculous Minisode and it was seriousy ridiculous and fun! Matt and Lisa have great energy. They would be fun to listen to on a long drive.
-
AtxrachGreat energy and an awesome twistThe cohosts have a great energy together and the podcast is such an awesome twist on the traditional true crime story telling format. It asks one of the most important questions in our justice system, does the punishment fit the crime?
-
Sara AdamecKeep making those jokesI love this show! Lisa and Matthew not only give you a thorough review of some of the most intriguing true crime cases in the hoistory of the justice system. They also are not to wrappend up in being serious and have a good time and are able to make jokes at times to deal with the dark and serious nature of the topics they discuss. When you talk about the ark and tragic events they talk about being able to lightne the mood with some jokes are not disrespectful but is entertaining and necessary to make sure the topics they are taeching us about are also able to be talked about without driving their listeners into a depressive dark hole. If you have thin skin or take yourslef to seriously or cannot realize that being offended or disrespected is a individual issue and not the intent of this great show than you need to take a long look in the mirror at yourself.
-
gatewaygatorTrue crime with a slice of comedyI love this podcast and I really love the chemistry between the two hosts. Not only is the podcast factual, but I love the bits of comedy thrown in by Lisa and Matt.
-

-
Prove It PodcastLove it!Such a great podcast I binged listened!
-
El theñoShe does her homeworkLisa is thoroughly researched on all the case details and does tons of research. I’ve heard her mention it in several episodes that she combs through every article, audio file, image, etc. she can find to compare and contrast the in/consistencies. I mean...does Matt even help? Or is he the token super-charming charismatic background vampire that every podcast needs?!
-
Chelsea_BasedOnATrueCrime⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Love this pod!! The hosts have great chemistry and are super funny, plus they do not skimp on the details and do great research! Keep up the amazing work!!
-

-
muffins247EhhhhhThe content is great, I just can’t get over the sound quality. It’s very echoey and sounds like you’re very far from your mics. Hopefully as you get bigger you can have professional audio edits. *coming back after the shout out. Glad you guys take the time to read and reply to your reviews! I myself am looking to start a podcast and I’ve started a lot of research on equipment. I’d love to connect and share some info plus i can possibly get you all a discount on equipment. My husband works for a fairly large corporate electronics company.
-
Chloelyn96Awesome!!I love this podcast, it's very informative and I love the hosts personalities
-
ZxylonI’ll be backFound you guys on Facebook and I am happy to say I found a new podcast for my morning commute. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks guys.
-
gillmorekateBest crime podcast out there!!This podcast is great, I love true crime and it’s the only one I’ll listen to. They always give an in-depth background of the case (with most crime podcasts I feel like I can find more information by reading about it myself) and it’s a good balance of opinion and fact. Please keep the episodes coming!
-
5Smiths01Fantastic!Just found this podcast and have been binge listening ever since. You can tell how passionate the hosts are about true crime as well as how well researched their information is. Looking forward to hearing many more!
-
js592017Yes!Finally a podcast that discusses the part of the case that makes me wanna scream the most- did the justice system get it right!?! I love that this podcast covers both popular cases that (I thought) I already had a strong opinion on and also little known cases! Bravo!
