I listen to a small handful of podcasts on a regular basis, and that’s assuming your hand is missing a couple of fingers. This is one of the big three for me. While I appreciate the takes on the reviewed content, I enjoy the back and forth just as much. Listening to the show feels like being in the garage, in the Weezer-iest sense of the words, where you belong.

Started listening during stranger things and now I find myself diving through all the content and I enjoy every bit of it. It’s nice to see fellow nerds who share a passion for film. Alsoooo the bald guys my favorite

Very much enjoy Streaming Things! Really consistent content with a great mix of TV, Movies and general Pop Culture. Insightful and informed recaps and reviews from folks that genuinely seem to love what they do. Engaging, and lots of consistent, bonus content on their Patreon. The main cast Steve, Kit and (originally) Andy are a great listen and a rotating cast of guest hosts always add to the discourse.

Came for Yellowjackets, stayed for Starship Troopers and Legend. Does Madison do more than Yellowjackets?

I started listening a few weeks ago and have been binging this entire podcast since then. I originally started Stranger Things when it debuted during my freshman year of high school. Didn’t see the hype and couldn’t finish season 1. Came back after hearing all the season 4 hype and am thoroughly impressed and wondering what I was smoking back in high School. Binged all four seasons in a week and it is now one of my top three favorite TV shows of all time, possibly my sole favorite. I haven’t had the best summer or home since coming back from college this year, but you guys have made my life more bearable and escapable and have made this show even more awesome to me. Please keep going with other movies and TV shows. You deserve great things and have genuinely made my life better.

Great show but they never posted the Dead Reckoning Part 1 episode to complete the Mission Impossible coverage. It’s unconscionable.

This crew is so good, it’s one of the few things I’ve elected to support financially. Came way back for Stranger Things, and was delighted when they became regular. Such a great vibe. Keep it up!

I LOVE listening to these guys after I finish a really good show. Not only does this podcast drag out shows that I didn’t want to end for me, but it also is like having someone to talk to about one of your favorite shows when no one you personally know has watched it. Most times listening to their review on a show is even more entertaining than rewatching an episode.

It’s my favorite podcast! Love this pod so much. I can listen to episodes 3 or 4 times and still be entertained. Loving the Lost coverage, it’s been a super fun throwback.

Tough to listen anymore. Glad they are having a good time but the endless blabbing about nothing has become too tedious.

I found this podcast in 2022 while watching Season 4 of Stranger Things. I have since gone back and listened to all their back catalog and I just love it. They are stand-ins for the friends I don’t have to discuss tv and film and they are just so fun to listen to. I’ve even started listening to old episodes I’ve heard a few times before to get me to sleep when I have insomnia, not because it’s boring but because it feels safe and familiar and that helps me relax. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone who loves movies and tv! They do such a great job with the recaps and the breakdowns and the chocolate puddings and the Easter Eggos, and just camping for months while we waited out the actors and writers strike. Keep up the great work, Chris (ok, fine… Kit), Steve, and Maddison. 👋😊

Discovered them in the middle of Season 4 of Stranger Things. Caught up on their old episodes and continued to listen to the new episodes long after Season 4 wrapped. Good hearted people, especially the two main hosts, Chris/Kit and Steve. Awesome additional hosts in Andy (initial trio), Jimmy, Alex, and Madison. All good people. Great content.

I began listening during coverage of Stranger Things, and fell absolutely in love! I not only loved the humor, but the in-depth dives into each episode. When Stranger Things ended until the fifth season comes around, I kept listening no matter the topic! I don’t care what is talked about, and often I’ve never heard of or seen the TV show or movie being covered, I just love to listen for the laughs and good times amongst the hosts. Always brings a smile to my face, along with much laughter. Thank you for all you do to make the world a brighter place!

I’ve been listening to streaming things for two years. I lovingly say dorks because hi so am I. I instantly felt like I was talking to people that I knew most of my life. Geeking out on all things, Sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and gaming. The host are funny considerate and always thoughtful in sharing their opinions. I will continue to support this pod throughout the strike because I can’t wait to listen afterwards and I want this to continue. Keep it up my guys love michelle

So I’ve listened to these guys since just before Stranger Things S4. I thought after that I was going to be done, but they are far too interesting of people to stop listening to. I’m a teacher, so it’s hard to keep up on Podcasts during the school year . So I listen to them as often as I can and as much as possible over the summer. We got into yellow jackets, and their coverage was absolutely critical to my viewing, not because they were going over theories or anything like that. Still, I enjoy shows so much more when I can just stop and listen and talk about what’s happening in the show so I fully understand. Then we got into LOST and was loving it, then-- STOP EVERYTHING---- writer strike/actor strike. I thought I was going to stop listening then, maybe, but every time I listen to them; I just want to keep listening. They could talk about anything, and they do, and it is so good at all times. Thank you so much, guys, for always putting out so much Content. I genuinely appreciate it. I’ll listen to talk about anything.

I was probably overly harsh with my one star review yesterday. After I saw it blasted on Twitter (or X, but I can’t bring myself to call it that), I came to realize my knee jerk angry response to seeing a pod about Love Lingual instead of the next episode of Lost, as I began my road trip back home, was a nasty and hurtful thing for someone to read about their hard work and efforts. Especially when that person is putting in a lot of effort to create content for me to enjoy and probably not getting paid a ton to do it. I found this podcast back when the last season of Stranger Things came out and I was looking to hear more about the show. I was painting my soon to be son’s nursery and stumbled across it. I have since gone back and listed to probably 90% of the content that you’ve put out. I honestly haven’t ever listened to a podcast that would make me laugh out loud. It reminded me of hanging out with my buddies and the banter we have back and forth. So, while I still wish you would be putting out content during the writers’ strike, know that my annoyance came more from disappointment not getting to listen to your shows anymore. I still think they wouldn’t go on strike for your podcast if the tables were turned, but you are obviously a good dude so I respect it. So, while I don’t take back what I said about missing Andy, I do regret my other comments, especially bashing the name change. Keep doing what you’re doing, and when you get back to putting out content, I will be waiting to listen and laugh with y’all once again.

I’ve been listening to these guys (and now occasionally gal) since Stranger Things season 4 I think. But they’re hilarious and I just generally love the vibe. At this point I’ll watch along with most everything they cover just so I can keep up with the pod’s convo and get the inevitable jokes that come out of it. Loving the Lost coverage. Really love the recurring bits that inevitably come out of a full season’s coverage. Sniper Tony (TLOU), Dr Brenner & Argyle (ST S5), Cali Ditz Travis (Yellowjackets). Anyway, obviously I 100% recommend giving them a try. Listen to a few episodes so you can get their personalities.

I stumbled on the podcast for Yellowjackets Season 2, then listened to some of the movies - A Knight’s Tale is also my fav movie- and now I’m staying for LOST. So fun to rewatch and love that Kit Lazer and Madison haven’t seen it. I don’t know how Steve holds in all the spoils. Fun group, good conversation, amazing TV and movies.

I was already a big fan of this show, but now they’re revisiting my favorite show ever…LOST. It’s a leap of faith

I’ve been hoping for Lost for so long! This is one of my re-watch shows. I’ve watched it at least 3 times through. So excited to listen to you both experience it for the first time.

While I now know that they cover a bunch of shows and movies I’m here for LOST and I really live the coverage, especially because only one person has actually seen the whole show. I hope they keep going with the rewatch

13 minutes into the Lost episode and they start talking about how bad the show could have been to people… No thanks. I tune into podcast for entertainment, not to be preached to about how people acted in Hollywood 20 years ago. Thought this would be a great show, but turned into a morality discussion.

Love the show. Picked it up during early Stranger Things. Caught up real quick with Yellowjackets and followed along weekly during season two. Keep up the great work and Madison brings a great aspect to the show.

I was looking for a yellowjackets podcast and tried out 3 others before I found this one. So glad I found it and wish I would have found it sooner. Going back to listen to all the recaps from the beginning. These guys are hilarious and found myself laughing out loud every episode. The hosts have great chemistry and seem to really like each other.

This is my first ever podcast review. I found you guys a couple of months ago when I was searching for a Yellowjackets podcast to replace all the Murdaugh Murders casts I’d been listening to when he was found guilty. SO glad I gave a few others a try because when I finally listened to y’all, I knew you were THE CHOSEN ONE for me. It was even better when I discovered that you covered each of the 7 Harry Potter movies. Like Steve, my son and I attended several midnight release parties at Barnes & Noble to purchase the latest book. We would come home & he’d go to his room and I to mine and we would each read the first five chapters. Then, we would meet in the kitchen to make a snack and discuss what we had just read & speculate what might happen next. It is a very fond memory for both of us. So much so, I’ve recommended he give you guys a listen. I do vote in the polls- but y’all commentate on some movies & shows that I don’t really like- but I’m still here! Lastly, I absolutely LOVE 💘Pippin the dog & really hope he is recovering well from his surgery. Finally, your Bernie Sanders impression is very funny, but please make sure you keep your own political views out of the show. We are here to relax & listen to a discussion about a show or movie we like and politics of any kind does not belong. Came for Stranger Things, stayed for Yellowjackets. Currently crying laughing finishing up the Season 1 finale episode for Yellowjackets. Absolutely love having Madison bring some balance to the mix! Steve’s commentary and impersonations are my favorite. Chris does a good job hosting, great voice for a podcast, but treads into personal stories too much…the one about an intimate moment on one of the yellowjackets episodes — how that made it through editing, I don’t know but I nearly died of secondhand embarrassment. They do miss some pretty significant nuances sometimes but overall great, entertaining coverage.

Both the crew and podcast are excellent. The perfect balance of analyzing plot points and theories mixed in with hilarious hahas! Keep up the work fellas!!!

I came for Stranger Things. I stayed for literally everything else. And even became a patron. I didn’t know I could love the pod more but the addition of Madison (petition for her to become a permanent host 👀) really solidified y’all as my favorite film/TV podcast.

I only started listening to Streaming Things a few weeks before Yellowjackets season 2 premiered. I listen to pretty much all the podcasts available for the show and I thought I had already found my favorites. To my surprise, while just trying to fill time between new YJ content, I found a hidden gem. I love the humor and levity they all bring to this heavy, dark subject matter. They are also so smart and serve up legit story and character analysis and are knowledgeable about the production side of things too. I really appreciate how open Chris is about his history with drugs and alcohol. He brings an emotional intelligence to the conversations and sees characters through such a fascinating and caring lens. It feels like hanging out with friends. I’m also a sucker for people doing voices and impressions, so I am totally sold. I look forward to every new episode for YJ and have even begun going back through their archives and listening to coverage on other shows and movies. Streaming Things is the real one! subscribe!

Started watching Yellowjackets pretty much only because I wanted to follow the recaps and am very happy I did—the recaps really enhance my enjoyment of the show and I anticipate both with equal excitement😁

Not so often do you find a pod is just above the rest. This show is so incredible. Having Maddison had just elevated the show. I can listen to episodes over and over again. The jokes always land, the discussions are great, and the information is spot on! I became. Patron of the show a couple months ago. Best decision I’ve made in a very long time. The vibe of the show can just brighten up the day! Thanks guys, keep ‘em coming!

Loving this podcast and I listen every Monday at work. I know it’s polarizing, but I’m not sure how I feel about Cassie either. hahhahaha. Coverage is A I have a crazy theory tho! I think, and I say this with my full chest, that Misty is the one who convinces the rest of the team to eat pit girl ( mari ). EVIDENCE: the smile on her face when she removes her mask. Great season 1 recap of Yellow Jackets. Lots of laughs. The best was “Plant-Parenthood”, I busted out laughing driving in my car. Classic Streaming Things antics. That’s why I LOVE this podcast. Melissa was awesome too.
