I’d recommend following this podcast to anyone who’s interested in learning more about how to bbq right. Malcolm Reed is the real deal. Killer Hogs/How to BBQ Right make great, competition-tested products that I’ve been using for years, and they’re consistently put out useful cooking content. The pods are entertaining and informative.

I love your content but please stop celebrating the idea of a cashless society. I understand completely the convenience factor but a cashless society is a controlled and manipulated society far worse than it already is.

I started following Malcolm when I got a pellet smoker. 6 years later I’m up to 6 different types of smokers, I cure and cold smoke 200 pounds of bacon a year and BBQ every day I’m off work. Malcom’s Reed for president!!!!! Everything I know about BBQ I learned from this great man.

Is Healthy BBQ possible??? Is it possible to BBQ seafood right??? The best way??? Also Since I’m pescatarian / vegetarian, I’ve been pondering the possibilities of a Seafood Turducken. Then figure out how to BBQ it!!! I’m homeless. Sorry I haven’t heard your podcast.

I suspect that Chief102 is just upset because no one ever wants to come over when he barbecues and he can’t seem to figure out why. (Spoiler alert: It’s probably not because of the food.) Please keep doing what you’re doing. We love you guys and your recipes. Thanks for sharing with us.

I love the HTBBQR Podcast. It is like good friends talking about all things delicious. Malcom has such an easy way to share techniques and he and ‘Chell (and the addition of Tyler) discuss things freely without a care. They have great guests and cooking and recipe tips. I’ve always enjoyed grilling but Malcom has made me so much better. Love the videos and podcast. His step by step approach makes grilling and smoking fun and made the food even better!

The 26th episode of 2020 may have been my favorite episode yet and yes I’ve listened to every single one of them. This episode for some reason caught and kept my attention. It was about grilling on a Weber Kettle of all things. However, it was informative about the product and the different ways you can cook on it. Not only that but I could hear the fondness for this seemingly mundane amateurs grill coming from a man, who in my opinion is the G.O.A.T. for inspiring and teaching us back yard cooks How To “freakin” BBQ Right!!! I’m going to buy a Weber and “git to cookin”. Thank you Malcom and Rachelle.

Watching his videos and listening to his podcast have made me a hero since I got my smoker

In 2011 I was seriously injured in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and proceeded to spend three year rehabbing and fighting to give myself a normal life. It wasn’t until I began grilling and smoking that I could begin to heal. Malcom your videos on YouTube has been my greatest medication. I have fallen in love with this lifestyle and am now able to cook for my own kids. To you and your wife I wanna say thank you for all that you do. It’s more than just cooking; it’s therapy. There’s nobody like Malcom in the bbq circuit! He and Southern Chelle have had me hooked for about 5yrs now! And the podcasts are even better! Their personalities shine! Not only am I learning bbq from the GOAT, I find myself crying with laughter most of the way through! Absolutely phenomenal product!

I found the videos recently and have really enjoyed Malcolm’s style and clear instructions and reasons why he does things. Then I listened to the podcast and dig the conversational style and further breakdown on how he does the recipes...plus he threw a sweet old-school pro-Wrestling reference in there! (Dutch Mantell’s chest hair)

Been watching Malcom for years. Love the podcast and the breakdown on recipes but love the stories!

I’ve been watching Malcom’s videos for years, and he’s continued to provide great information about BBQ on this podcast. Highly recommended listen if you’re new to bbq or even a seasoned backyard pit master. The only thing I can complain about is the audio quality. It’s just hit and miss. One week it will sound clear, crisp, and professional...then the next week (like this weeks episode 27 Sep 2019) will sound like they left the microphones in one room and did the show from another room. Still a great show though, and I will listen regardless.

This is not only the best BBQ podcast to listen to but is also more educational and entertaing to listen to then This American Life or some of the other pocasts I hear. Good people, good BBQ, good fun!

I have been following Malcom for about a year now and I have to say, his methods, personality and honesty makes him a diamond in the ruff in the BBQ World. Watching him on YouTube, then finding his PodCast has helped me out tremendously. I would love to meet this man (and his wife) to shake his and and say thank you. 5 years ago I got a red electric brinkman smoker to have some fun. I learned some basics watching howtobbqright.com. Today I have 2 green eggs, cooked in numerous eggfests, a few SCA events, and wowed numerous friends and family with great food. (And drank a lot of beer). I still consider your website to be an institution for experts and newbies alike. Love the podcast. Thanks for being so great for the scene!
