HuskerinNJGreat companion to the books.Guys. Hang in there. Like Allen said. It gets better. It took me over two months to read Shadow Rising. Six weeks later, I’m just starting A Memory of Light.

Laura G 721Too many stupid sexual jokesI really enjoyed this podcast starting out as I am a first time reader, but it’s starting to become ridiculous at the amount of sexual jokes and the stupid “locker room humor” like we get it already, you think the taint word is funny. Ian is so obnoxious and it’s so much worse when he is drunk. I enjoy the chapter summaries, but the stupidity is seriously making me reconsider if I want to continue reading and listening to this podcast. Grow up already.

BKstinaGreat showThanks for the entertainment. Keep up the good work boys I’m almost done with The shadow rising and have been listening along chapter by chapter the whole time. I’m glad I was late to the past I don’t have to wait week to week to read along

Kristikay55too much drink?I enjoyed this podcast for awhile but by the end of book 3 I've had enough of their personal lives, side tangents and way too much locker-room humor. The more they drink during episodes the worse it has gotten and their success is just encouraging more of that behavior.

SamsamiamMehI picked this pod up because I was in the middle of a WoT re-read and wanted some additional perspective. I listened to a couple of episodes and couldn’t get into it. The speaking volume and cadence is way too low. Almost like they are recording in a library and want to be discreet. Took 30-35 minutes to get into the content because we were getting grocery store and insurance updates. Unfortunately I’ll have to find a new WoT companion pod

FoxMistsSausage fest with a side of 100 proof bourbonThese guys have some pretty great insight into a lot of this series due to how slow they read. If it wasn’t such a sausage fest I would give it five stars. Anytime a female main character has sex, they automatically assume that woman is pregnant. Like a woman’s first and foremost purpose is reproduction. In another example, During one scene with Valen Luca, they complain that Nynaeve is flirting too much with one man - like she was harassing him. In the next breath, they all support Luca harassing Nynaeve for the exact same purpose. He had to “shoot his shot” (Chris) and that was what he should have done. But they do have some great insight to the series that a lot of people will miss because they are reading faster. They even noticed some stuff I’ve missed and I’ve read this series 27 times. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone that is reading for the first time. And honestly, the personal stuff at the beginning is not a downside. It’s a nice addition. Regardless of how much of it is true - lookin at you Ian! - it’s both entertaining and adds another layer of depth. You can see where the sausage fest began and how it became the football arena of vienna wieners that it is.

jessebear26Would be more enjoyable without the weird comments about womenI enjoy their chapter breakdowns however one of the hosts’ (Ian? The one with the deep voice) comments about the women in the series drives me crazy. He oversimplifies their character implying sex as their main motivation & frequently stereotyping them and their relationships with each other. They’re the type of comments many women get in the SFF community that can make it an uncomfortable/unwelcoming place for us.

fgalladFantastic podcastThis is my second time listening to these guys, the perfect combination of humor, personal stories, and loads and loads of invaluable information. Read and listened to the series and these guys are still pointing out a few things I never put together. By far my absolute favorite podcast. Thanks Ian Allen and the other one I forget! Pretty sure it’s the big dude who reminds me of perin 😂😂

Chris W Intelligent HostsI recently found this podcast, and it’s great. I have read the series several times and listened to it a few times also. Our hosts are seeing things in book 1 that I never picked up on. It has been great to learn so much about something that has been a huge part of my life for the past 20 years. I look forward to the next 14 books

BrentpwThe wheel plays reeds. One of the best TWoT podcasts there is. Honest, mostly humble; and engaging. I'd give 4 stars because there is always room for improvement, most of the time; but I don't see much possible improvement from my limited mind. Giggity

a_vaupelKeep on truckingGreat podcast guys, I can’t believe the restraint you have to slowly plug away. You are getting close to the halfway mark!

horgarIan’s awkward sexual tangentsStarted off quite interesting, 5-star. I’m now in The Dragon Reborn and up to this point I have enjoyed the crew and their unique takes. But at some point in this book Ian has become too comfortable in turning everything into an excuse to talk about sex and his exploits. It’s fun (is it?) in the intro section, but getting too prevalent in the discussion portion of the show. Easing the Badger episode turned it from clumsy to awkward. Going downhill hard. 3rd straight episode of Ian’s awkward sexual innuendo. Dropped another star.

nparks66North DakotaI just started reading The Wheel of Time and have been listening to this podcast after I complete the chapters. I’m only on episode 4 and I wanted to give a shout out because I’m from North Dakota and I was laughing hearing that no one lives here because it’s so true 😂. I’m sure you’ve grown and have other ND listeners no doubt thanks for a good companion podcast to the book for a first time reader of the series.

blane255Wish the was betterThe hosts can’t get their minds out of the gutter. For every thoughtful insight Chris has, Ian has an inappropriate sexual comment.

nadia is moanaYou guys keep me company while I workI am also a first time reader and currently in fires of heaven. I truly enjoy the excitement and enthusiasm you guys portray on this podcast. I work remotely, so you guys are good company when I’m coding or analyzing data. Cheers! Call me Nadia Sedai- Red Ajah 😅

Leesa CallawayRAFO, boys!If you want to work you your way through WoT again- this time by hearing two newcomers to the series summarize the chapters and make predictions (sometimes wildly inaccurate, sometimes scarily dead-on, the whole time being guided by a long-time reader) this is the WoT podcast for you! There are occasionally editing issues with sound, but it’s worth pushing through those parts. Outside of the witty banter and the chemistry between the hosts, you’ll enjoy experiencing WoT a different way- and likely yelling RAFO throughout. Good times!

DamerFlynnEntertaining and ridiculousThese guys have committed to the most agonizingly slow process of reading WoT and I enjoy their hilarious theories and rabbit trails as they make their way to Tarmon Gaidon
-
TWR is funnyHilariously fun romp through the wheel of timeLove this podcast is hilarious and I love every episode filled with surprisingly insightful though, and some really bad guesses

DenisseMayaAwesome Podcast!!!This is exactly the type of podcast I was looking for. I am reading the series for the first time and it’s awesome to hear the thoughts of first time readers along with the guidance of a seasoned WOT reader. Also, I love the WOT trivia. I am currently on book 4, so I’ll be waiting for you guys to catch up so I can read along with the podcast. Great job guys.

AdamtheboyGreat to listen to while going through the seriesI am reading through this series for the first time and really enjoy the spoiler free aspect of this podcast. It’s a great companion to the books!

Pleased Audible UserTime to Roll the Dice🎲I really enjoy your show! Thanks so much for the “age of legends” and the breaking discussion. I have listened to WOT at least 3 times. My first listen was a year or two before “A memory of Light” came out. That wait was bad enough for Me, so I can’t imagine the waiting for several new books before that last one. I will be starting a 4th go round soon. (I truly hate Faile and Gowan, ugh I just can’t stand them👎🏾🤬). I was trying to wait until they announced a premiere date for the show, to start my next re-listen; but after listening to you all and the refreshing ideas you made me think about, my time table is changing. Thank You all for what You do😊

Pharm guy 54Great WOT podcast and read-along!Hi guys! I finally began to tackle the WOT book series and I’m so excited I found this podcast at the same time. I’m loving the story and enjoy listening to your analysis. Keep up the great work!

skeeterishGood Wheel of Time ContentI'm enjoying this readthrough and the insights by the panel. Strikes a good balance a few smart first-time readers and a skilled interviewer who is familiar with the story. Good times and provokes good discussion.
