If you’re a fan of New Orleans sports—or just love sharp, funny, and unfiltered takes—Polk & Kush is essential listening. The chemistry between the hosts is unbeatable, blending humor, insight, and the perfect amount of cynicism. They manage to be honest without being bitter, critical without being cruel, and always entertaining. Polk and Kush do an amazing podcast about sports in general, but mainly focused on New Orleans. They bring a real Confederacy of Dunces point of view to the very silly things that happen in the city, both on the field and in the streets.

Do you feel the need to insult your listeners who believe in Jesus? You clearly don’t. That’s fine. You will live with the consequences. But you would never repeat your Good Friday comments about Juneteenth, our Pride, or whatever else Twitter gins up. You guys aren’t dumb. You I guess that means you mean what you say.

Look it’s New Orleans. We don’t do stuff normal and these guys put a New Orleans twist on New Orleans topics. It will make you laugh, it will make you think “why the heck do I live here,” but go for a drive and listen to this podcast while trying to fend off carjackers. You won’t regret it. 5 star content

I am not from New Orleans, heck I’ve only been there 4 times but I do watch the Pelicans nightly. They are that good!

This podcast is quality entertainment. It does an impeccable job of balanced incisive wit with belly ache guffaws in the context of two guys who have natural unique informed sports takes. It’s more satisfying than gumbo in a snow storm.

This show crept up on me unexpectedly. Longing for a little more insight and opinions on my local New Orleans and Louisiana-based sports teams, I decided to give them a try. I’ve been entertained since day one. Listening to this show makes me feel like a kid watching old Abbott and Costello reruns, sandwiched around the Three Stooges and Little Rascals shows after school. Kush’s infectious, nearly non-stop laughter is perfectly juxtaposed against Polk’s Sahara-dry quips. I look forward to each week’s podcast and appreciate the efforts (or lack of as they might say) to provide a great mixture of sports, local politics, and humor. Like most podcasts, the hosts don’t know what they’re talking about. Unlike most podcasts, these guys admit they don’t know what they’re talking about. Wanted to give 3 stars just to piss off Kush, but it’s a really great podcast, so I couldn’t

Two, overly self-important, elitist bums that barely even know sports. Don’t be god-forbid poor or want to be safe in a pandemic and listen to this.

Polk and Kushner provide the news and analysis every New Orleans sports fan needs. They manage to be both supportive and critical of the Saints and Pelicans. If you want to increase your knowledge of local sports so you can better participate in conversations at work, bars, parties and with you ride share drivers - while also being entertained - then this podcast is for you.

Immediately recognized Dragon King on the 6/23/21 episode when Kush said the wing place was closed and there was an inexplicable photo of the Titans stadium. This podcast is awesome.

If you’re a fan of the Saints, Pelicans, LSU or any Louisiana sports team you need to listen. These guys are hilarious and right on the money.

Haven’t missed an episode since I started listening. A great rundown of all things New Orleans sports, and once an episode, will even make me verbally say to myself “ruh-roh, where is this going?”.
