Once I started listening, I could not stop. I painted a whole room, cleaned areas of my home and listened to the whole series. Dave’s understanding of History, and of the philosophical systems, let alone money and how it works-sheesh- that drive groups on both the right and the left is beyond my ability to compliment. His ability to “read the room” in this case the political space of the United States, is amazing. Dave, for me, you have pulled together many loose threads into a tapestry of our current political situation that I am understanding better. I am very grateful that there is a series 2 that I am listening to now. And I have many questions. Where should I submit a kind of 2-paragraph question that I hope you will answer at some point? You are like a dog with a bone until you get it all chewed. Impressed and scared with the information.

I thought this podcast would have an interesting discussion on how we lost the 2024 election in a landslide, but there is zero introspection and moderation and honest analysis. There is, however, a doubling and tripling down on the far-left agenda that hijacked our party, which is what caused the loss by forcing moderate Dems to leave and Independents to vote Trump. David Troy is extremely toxic for Democrats. He may even be a plant by the Trump campaign, to drive further extremism among Democrats so that we keep losing elections (at best).

Dave reveals little known historical events and processes, making solid connections that help us better understand the many troubling and confusing trends we see developing in our country today.

Dave thank you for using your knowledge and experience to connect the dots. This is by far the most insightful content I’ve found on our current political circumstances. I’ve found discussions of various elements you explore-the fossil fuel industry, Silicon Valley libertarians, and rising Christian Nationalism but you’re the first person who’s shown how these are overlapping efforts which create a growing feedback loop that is consolidating anti-democratic efforts in U.S. and abroad. Please continue your efforts to pull back the curtain and shine a light on the real stakes for the vast majority of people in our country.

Thank you so much for enlightening us, but I feel a helpless and troubling pit in my stomach after listening to this episode! Are we doomed by the beliefs of all these narcissistic personalities? What can a simple person like me do to help stop them? God help us!

Don’t waste time with the guy who declared a “red-brown alliance” because Paul Gosar briefly spoke to AOC on the day of the GOP’s historic failure to elect a Speaker. Would love to know what other data points Dave has to back up this inflammatory piece of rhetoric. Words, what do they mean?

Dave Troy took a deep dive and connected the dots. Listening to this podcast will help you understand the situation on the ground in the US and beyond faster than by indulging in any other resource out there. This is extremely valuable, especially now, when so much false information permeates the web. I listened to the series with dread and relief. Truth is not pretty but it’s necessary to take the right action forward. Recommended to everyone who values democracy and freedom.

The one-stop all inclusive buffet for everything regarding who is wrecking the place and why. Map and compass And decoder ring. And even though this is all horrifying it’s also somehow reassuring to have it named and demystified.

I found this podcast in my search for the “why?” and the endgame for the American right. at first, fact checked everything, because I was learning things I had never heard even as an informed, interested, student of history. Dave has pulled together all of these little pieces, people, and overlapping ties to create as straightforward and narrative as possible.

Dave is brilliant, insightful, and a skilled interviewer/listener. He draws on multiple disciplines in explaining how we arrived at this moment. His Twitter feed and writings are great, but this podcast series does a fantastic job of explaining the historical context.
