    Well Done and Well Researched
I’ve been listening for a long time now, but recently they’ve done special presentations, the recent DC Explosion and DC Implosion. They’re so well researched and informative without feeling overwhelming or boring. I think it’s really interesting (and heartening) to have this reminder that even while the market is struggling, Comics are far from dead. And it always makes me happy that they make note of the fact that comics shouldn’t just be made for on small group because they actually have a really large fan base elsewhere.

    Well done
    Love it all! Great work!!

Great show, minus the hate on HP
Excellent banter, but not sure why you guys dislike Harry Potter content so much. It’s ok to separate entertainment from politics and social views.

Like exercise: good for you but hurts sometimes
Overall I really enjoy this pod - I’ve listened to many comics podcasts and this is one of the ones that is best overall. Pros: like the contributors, like their chemistry, like the diversity of the opinions and the topics. I especially like that the main “host” of the show sounds like a professional - raises the quality of the pod above others that feel more amateurish. Plus they’ve got hands-down the best theme song (at the end) in all of pod-land (apologies if that’s lifted from another source). Having said all this there are a number of things that annoy me. If the creators of this pod actually read these things it would be lovely if they could take any of these constructive criticisms: - please stop hounding us every 5 mins about joining the Patreon. We get it: this stuff isn’t free, some people want to make a living at this rather than having a “real job” ... but the constant reminders to join Patreon really screws up the flow. - related to the above: don’t hold the good content for the Patreon. I believe Patreon should be for EXTRA content, not the stuff that people really want to listen to. The bait and switch is not cool. - why do the “wheel of destiny” (or whatever it’s called) at the beginning? Don’t get me excited about any number of news stories and then talk about something I don’t care about ... just pick one story and get into it. Is the wheel even real? If not it’s even more annoying. - lastly (this is where the “exercise” metaphor comes in): please be better aware of the mix of “popular” and more “Indy” content. I like this show because it exposes me to stuff I wouldn’t normally get or seek out, it just seems like it’s a little slanted towards some very specific non-popular subjects (looking at you Matthew and the 10th review of a Power Rangers book over the last 6 mos). The episode I’m listening to right now is giving a significant segment time to one of the creations of one of the hosts (good to be exposed to it) while relegating a discussion of Womder Woman 750 to, you guessed it, the Patreon ... Realize this can all sound sorta negative, but it’s said out of love. This is one of the best comic pods around and I want it to stay that way!

    Too Much Matthew
As the years have gone on and Matthew has basically turned into a living, derailing, pop culture reference machine, I can't listen to this show anymore. At least on Critical Hit there is a good GM who reigns him in like a good show host would.

    3 Stars Explained
I like the style of the show with a casual conversation amongst people who seem to have chemistry together and the rating system. They also cover a wide variety of topics, which I both love and hate. I don’t care for it because then I have to skip around to avoid spoilers or topics that aren’t of interest. At the same time, the more thing they cover the better the likelihood of a topic coming up that I want to hear about. I wish they would break the show into smaller segments and title them with the topic, but I understand that not all topics would take up enough time to justify having their own upload. In conclusion, listen when you have time to skip around and not when your hands are busy like while driving or cleaning.

    Surprised by racism
I have enjoyed the show so I was VERY surprised when one of the hosts made racist-sexist comments. I NEVER find this acceptable.
  • Fnemecek313
    Unsubscribe
I unsubscribed when all three of the hosts raved about how great TLJ and how those of us who hated the movie are simply misogynists. Wanting movies with a halfway intelligent script does not make one a "misogynist." Wanting decent writing instead of something that is nothing more than Deus Ex Machina on repeat does not make one a "misogynist." I'm really getting tired of people who can't support their position that TLJ was anything other than a pretensious pile of crap resorting to calling to those of us who value good writing names.

    Holds me over
As a comic addicted adult life can be hard sometimes, but these fine people are able to get me through comic withdrawal and hold me over until work is done and I can tend to my books! A+

    Meh
The podcast is alright they get a bit too into minutiae about comics u might not care about so u may fast forward. The woman who is always yelling about being Canadian is pretty bad and worth fast forwarding too. I listened for awhile till the majority of the host said that futurama was better than the simspons and I had to quit. Anybody thinking that can’t be worth listening to.
  • Sylvan/Boaz
    A pleasant listen.
I definitely enjoy this podcast. The reviews come across as honest. Good natured humor. Minor negative,Ashley's portion of the conversation is forced..stiff? Still a minor awkward hiccup in the flow. Worth listening to.
  • Kelly_Clan
The other best thing about Wednesdays
Great podcast about All Things Geekery.. mostly comics and comics related news, interviews, reviews and more.. It's like hanging out with your favorite bunch of folks at the comic shop.

    My FAVORITE podcast
I’m giving the MSP five stars/slices of meatloaf, only because I can’t give a sixth. I listen to tons of podcasts, but this by far has been my favorite for years. It’s not just the content (geek and pop culture-y goodness), but it’s the crew themselves: Stephen, Matthew, Rodrigo, Zach, Ashley…they have a great rapport and it’s just fun to listen to them. Every episode is like hanging with wonderful friends, listening talk about what you want to hear - do yourself a favor and become a Spoilerlite.

    Awesome sauce
The humor in this show has me hooked. I was drawn in by critical hit and just love major spoilers because they are so funny and I don't even read comics.
  • TNPerkins
A fantastic podcast about geeky goodness!
I am a longtime listener to this podcast, and I will say that it is a great resource for all thing comic book / pop culture geek related! I feel that they do a top notch job at creating a show with a polished professional vibe that has a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. If you love comics this just might be the podcast for you. Give these fols a listen!
  • Ryumoau
    boring liberals....
Its just a bunch of far left nerds injecting politics into everything and its just obnoxious to listen to.
  • Readying
    Amazing
Awesome podcast but cannot find episodes lower than #339
  • BlueRobin00
    Incredibly entertaining and smart!
This is my favorite podcast at the moment! I love hearing the major events each week in the pop culture universe and what each member of the podcast brings to the table. Each week we get to hear reviews, news, and just fun stories! Love this podcast; people should visit their website often as well! I love comics and they do too.
  • ETodd54
    I love this podcast!
This is my favorite podcast, period, if only for the fun I have while listening. It's loaded with great comics reviews, in depth information, and humor. Stephen, Rodrigo, and Matthew keep me laughing and up to date on comic books and pop culture. The show also has top-notch production values often lacking in other podcasts. Stephen knows how to put together a great podcast. They got me back into comics after 15 years away. I can't stop listening!
  • G_Riv
Is Matthew's persona just performance art?
Most of the crew comments intelligently on comics and the related spheres of pop culture. Unfortunately, Matthew acts like a walking amalgam of negative geek stereotypes, even when he's ostensibly mocking them. He constantly interrupts the other hosts to spout dull one-liners, and their apparent exasperation with his antics lends the whole thing a surreal atmosphere. Just like the rest of the internet, the most annoying person on this podcast is unfortunately the loudest.
  • glassmaniam
    great podacst
I really like listening to this podcast. Its even interesting to me when I don't know, or follow the things they talk about
  • Llittle Soul
Remember when this podcast was good
It doesn't seem like that long ago but likely its been years. When this podast was good before Zach came on. I think when Rob filled in was the last time I really enjoyed the podcast. Between the costant begging for money, and spinning off all the fun parts of this show into there own lesser shows like top five.Thank god Steve thought the Doctor Who podast community was to crowded otherwise we would had to deal with that too.But this show has seen better days. These seems like detent people just wanting to have fun but this podcast isn't really that much fun anymore.

    Excellent podcast!
Informative on comics old and new. Cast is knowledgable and very entertaining. Release your inner comic book nerd and listen to this podcast!
  • JGilk
    Orson Scott, you're silly.
No no, Silly. Orson the new artist for the Superman comic isn't a homophobe. He's just spouting that little thing most people call morality. What kind of moron would put morals in their life. THESE days. Do what you want, as long as you don't get caught.
  • Monkeyking68
    outstanding podcast
I have just recently jumped on board but have downloaded and listened to every ep. while driving for work. Besides the slightly anoying long ramblings of Mathew and his tangent references that derail the conversation, I think you guys are the best podcast out there. Very sorry Mathew. I mean no offense. You are incredibly knowledgible on the comic subject. Zach was a Great addition to the team. Keep up the good work. Glenn Smith Perrysburg, Ohio

    Great podcast
I listen to a lot of podcasts and I find that listening to Major Spoilers is one that I look forward to every week.

These are the nerds I am looking for.
Long ago when I was a young lad I could make it to my local comic book shop one or two times a week. Now I live far from any comic or gaming shop so am lucky if I make it in to one more then a few times a year. This podcast helps me get my comic nerd fix. With the helpful insight I get from the crew I can get the low down on what I should check out on line or when I finally do get to a comic shop. Thanks for everything you guys do.

    Addictive
I can't get enough of this podcast. At work, walking the dog, running errands, I always have these guys in my ear. I'm going to be so sad when I'm all caught up.

This is how I know I love a show when I walk around and randomly do the Matthew doing the fake Rodrigo voice out loud :) these guys are super rad and they will fill your head w goodnessss. Check em out.
  • HipHopHead 78
Stephen, Matthew & Rodrigo great shows
Newsflash!!! It is called Major Spoilers, because they tell everything. Big fan of this podcast, highly recommended. I find all three to bring a unique perspective to the discussion. Matthew's knowledge of comic history is impressive. Professor Stephen ability to teach through discussion is enlightening. My favorite is Rodrigo. 'Fakedrigo' is not bad either. Check out the Top 5 podcast as well.

    Highs and lows
A couple months ago I would've given this 5 stars easy. Maybe the honeymoon is over for me, as I find myself looking for new podcasts and shelving much of the original group I started with a couple years ago. I still love Stephen and Rodrigo. They have fantastic insight and chemistry. Matthew is hit or miss...sometimes I love him, sometimes I fast forward through him. I'm really hoping Rob isn't a permanent fixture and will just leave it at that. Sometimes I cringe when things come up that they aren't experts in, but the show overall is still very good. Quirks of the hosts aside, definitely give it a listen if you're looking for a good geek culture podcast.

Second thing I listen to Monday at work
The first is Critical hit. Love the show. These guys got me back into comics and always have an honest and fair opinion. Tops in their category.
  • 3lderdragon
    Great commentary
This pod cast is full of humor and great commentary regarding the stories we love.
  • Rukia81
    Awesome Podcast!!
Even if you don't read a lot of comics, you'll still appreciate this show. It's hilarious!
  • Randdoom
    Grrrreat!!
Informative, entertaining, opinionated, and honest. I love all the Major Spoilers content I will listen and read anything these guys put out. Great quality audio (mostly when Skype works) and content my only complaint is a lack of community support but that is on us not them so step it up MSP listeners lets give a lil love back on more than just the forums.
  • Palooka Kolbe
    Major Spoilers is great!
Thought they sometimes talk too much about things no one understands (the the Fate epsiode) and Stephen cannot proonounce most words, he, Matthew, and Rodrigo are three great guys with a lot of knowledge about excellent things. They are immensely entertaining and continually open my mind to new comics such as Alan Moore's Top Ten and Bone. Major Spoilers is great! Keep it up, guys!
  • Gfdas29
    Solid show
Entertaining and clever. This show consistently helps me put my troubles away and think about happier times when comics were the hardest reading I ever had to do.
  • Jmt0925
    Awesome podcast
UPDATE: Turns out they were right regarding the DC relaunches... then again, that's why we look to them for their expertise!! I have been listening to this podcast since it launched years ago and they have never led me wrong. In my forties and had not bought a comic book in years. These guys brought me back into the fold and have helped me pick some of the best material available while avoiding the junk. The podcast gets kudos for professionalism and that is reflected in the quality. The guys don't take themselves too seriously yet it shows that they care about what they are doing. Give it a try. If you love comics you will not be disappointed. And in addition to comics, there is enough of a focus on pop culture (movie reviews, tv show reviews) and the always interesting industry guests to keep you informed and entertained.
  • Tjlamb0518
Well......they do show us why comic fans get a bad rap.
I've been looking for a quality comics podcast for a ling time and thought I had found one here. But, sadly, in the weeks leading up to the DC relaunches, these guys (one in particular) became such boosters for products that hadn't come out yet and went so far as critiquing not the product, but anyone who dared say anything negative about them. That did it for me. If I wanted to here nonsensical validations based on (at that time) no evidence, I'd listen to a DC staff metting.
  • caparsons
    Awsome
LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST! The chemistry between hosts is great, the reviews are well though out and well presented, and the Spoilers are Major. Thanks for giving us several great shows every week. Also, if you are reading this review, you need to subscribe to "Top 5" and "Critical Hit". Two more great podcasts from the guys at major spoilers!
  • Typushark
    EPIC
I love the show, and i listen to critical hit as well. My favorite Firestar memory is the Zombie Firestar from blackest night. Thanks, and listen to this show peoples.
  • Monkey8228
    Great show!
The chemistry of the three hosts is a joy to listen to. Comic books shall be in my future once again! Matthew Rules!
  • Urd10467
Best comic book podcast hands downs.
Whether you are new to comics or a season pro you can enjoy this show.
  • Beyond the stars
    Excellent!
In the few episodes I have been subjected to, I have heard references to The Monkeys, WoW, and best of all Bloom County. I encourage Matthew to continue making obscure references so that I can have the personal satisfaction of knowing what the heck he's talking about. Rock on Rodrigo!
  • Moppen34
    The best show in iTunes!
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!! This show is just awesome it’s like setting with some of your best friends and listening to them talk about books that they love, and you do too =o) I can not recommend this show highly enough. If you like comics, super heroes, or just some very funny, very smart guys talking about things they love you have to give it a shot.
  • Mario A Lopez
I have a great time listening to you guys
Since I travel a lot, my iPod is my most appreciated companion. I have put aside Clapton, Steve Vai, Dream Theater, and Van Halen, to listen to your podcast and Rodrigo can tell you what that means. Congratulations for this quality show! I am sure that other old-timers like me are enjoying every podcast as much as I do.
  • Justin Tramnmell
    Love the show
Love the show, Love the ending song even more. Is there any way to get that song on itunes?!? I listen to the whole song everytime, and would totally drop some sheckles on the itunes store for it.
  • ceekir
    Excellent
This is the most entertaining "Geek" podcast I have found to date. The discussions are lively, fun, good spiroted, with just enough snark and TONS of references. (Don't expect to get every one Matthew does but expect to enjoy them. Along with his voices.) I don't even read comics anymore and I am hooked. Kudos to the three Cabballieros who create this 'cast.
