One of the best Anime podcast out there
This podcast doesn’t fool around playing crazy games, play acting and talking about nonsense things. Detailed discussions about current anime related topics. Discussion about previous and upcoming anime season shows. I especially enjoy the quarterly anime music discussion shows.

    Hello 👋🏻
I’m a 28 almost 29 year old who was introduced to anime and manga in the fourth grade. The first manga I read was Yu Yu Hakusho. I watched Toonami diligently which I credit for broadening my horizon when it comes to the different categories of anime. Now I watch almost any anime I can. I encountered a manga a few years ago and I for the life of me can’t remember what it was called. All I remember is that it’s not a new one but it was about these ninken clans that fought each other (I think?). I know that the main dog was taking his fathers place. Does this sound vaguely familiar to anyone? Please let me know if you have any ideas of what I’m talking about. Been bugging me for months! I forgot the names of all but two of Kakashi’s ninken. I remember Pakkun and Bisuke/Biscuit. What are the rest? Also are we ever shown any other ninken beside Akamaru? I’d love to know those as well.

Best Anime pod I’ve ever listened to
I got into anime a little while ago, and I started looking for an anime pod for when I can’t watch and when I just wanted to catch up on the latest info on anime. It took me a little while to look, and I came across this pod. I listened to one episode and loved it. The hosts are great and they put in the time to get info for the pod, and the music at the beginning is really nice, as it hooks you. I’m still relatively new to anime and this was very refreshing, because I could get info on anime without having to do major research, and put time into my other things. I’ve listened to a lot of episodes now and it’s great learning about old and new anime’s every weak. I actually started getting into anime when I started watching darling in the Franxx, and I was thrilled to see that u guys talked about it and I loved hearing your opinions. All in all, this is a great pod if you’re new or an anime veteran. Recommend it.

Kind of a one man podcast
It’s enjoyable to listen to but I’ve listened to about 3 episode and I’m noticing the host will often talk for about 10-15 minutes and the other guy just doesn’t say anything. Might not be that big of a deal to most but I’d like to hear more from other people

Andrew and Chris are two cool dudes
I started watching anime a few years ago around the same time I started listening to podcasts so naturally I was always on the hunt for a good anime podcast. I found this podcast about a year ago and it is the only anime podcast that I really love. Chris and Andrew are both really cool guys and I like to hear their opinions on the latest anime news and what shows they like. I’m not going to go super in depth with this review, I’ve noticed usually with anime podcasts a lot of the reviews are really specific about how the hosts have the correct opinion on something (Not saying they are all like that) but I just like to hear what Andrew and Chris have to say. I don’t always agree with them on stuff (banana fish) but that’s a good thing! Andrew and Chris seem like they put in a lot of effort to keep up with new shows while also watching older shows and you can really tell. They both know a lot about not only the shows but the anime industry as well. They have a forum and I think I’m going to start being active on it. I have never been active on a forum before but the people there seem really nice and I see Andrew and Chris interacting with lots of users. I kind of messed up the first time I was on because I assumed someone was being a jerk when they weren’t and started an argument about shin megami tensei or something stupid but it was my fault lol. Anyways I’m rambling but if you are in any way interested in anime I would highly recommend this podcast. I really enjoy it and I hope you will too!

The best podcast on anime by fans, for fans.
I have listened to many anime podcasts and dropped them, but this one is the best and I enjoy each episode and keep coming back. The hosts comment, review, research and focus on anime and all its aspects. From the business side, news and latest shows. Even if they may not agree on an anime, they never talk down to the listeners or fans for liking something they didn’t enjoy. The anime opening podcasts are enjoyable beyond belief and I wish they keep the podcast going on strong. A+ stuff, Otaku Spirit.

    Great anime summary/discussion show
Chris and Andrew bring what I believe is the best anime podcast available. They are very dedicated to their work. I've been an on again, off again listener for a couple years, but I find myself coming back when I need a good discussion.

    Great anime podcast
The single best anime related podcast I've heard. They have a long catalog of episodes that you can enjoy listening to their funny take on many shows from the past couple of years or make fun of as the hosts on their terrible pronunciations of titles, names, and bad predictions on shows you probably know much about now. It's a great show to listen to, even if one of the hosts is a big hearted, loveable, cool dude that literally saves puppies while the other is heartless, soulless monster that probably tries to eat said puppies.

it would be nice if they cut the music, openings, and endings reviews or talks and instead focused more on questions, anime, added more segments to change up the show some more. this is an evolving review as i am only 31 casts in and still working my way to the lastest stuff

Best Anime Podcast I ever heard!
I found this podcast a month ago and fell in love with it. My favorite episodes are the FAIRY TAIL ark reviews and although shorter than I would have liked they were great! My biggest complaint is that those episodes stopped before the show ended(which it hasn’t yet) leaving me wanting more. Although my love for this podcast and Fairy Tail makes it impossible for me to give anything less than 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Honest and Lighthearted
Both Chris and Andrew on OtakuSpirited are very truthful and factual with their reviews on all sorts of anime. They cover almost every genre from past anime to currently airing anime. I highly recommend this podcast to those that like hearing a review on an anime that they like or dislike, and those that are open to different opinions on anime.
  • Alejandro_L
    My favorite anime podcast
Really like the anime that the show covers, from giant robots to slice of life. Also excellent sound quality and episode structure. Lo recomiendo a todos los fans del anime, cubren una gran variedad de shows y el ingles es facil de entender, simpre hablan de manera ordena y clara.
  • Kurochan-San
    Great quality anime podcast
If you are looking for a well organized quality podcast about anime, with two lovable hosts look no more. The two hosts of the podcast, Chris and Andrew take the time to watch and review anime all across the genre scale, you can expect unspoiled reviews that just may peek your internet to the new anime of the seasons as well as previous ones (they have the anime that are spoken of in the descriptions in podcasts) Definitely a podcast that doesn't focus on the negativity that most other podcasts will give, as a previous reviewer claimed they don't grab onto the hate bandwagon of moe/loli anime but instead take it in stride. But don't let that get to you listener, as there is two sides of every coin. The two hosts are diverse in their likeness of anime, one may fawn over the moe while the other gets interested in your mystery murder anime as well. As I said if you want an honest opinion on anime out there, this is the one for you, they are two goofy hosts that sincerely love anime as a whole.

Excellent podcast, what is great about this podcast is they review animes without resorting to hating or bashing. Entertaining, fun and informative

Incredibly Consistent Show with Some Shortcomings
The Otaku Spirit podcast has one of the most consistent outputs of any anime podcast out there. You can count on them to cover almost every show airing during a season and give you at least some opinion. They're also typically very willing to give any show a fair shot, even if it's not in their ballpark. Specifically, they're not into shows that are dark, and much prefer lighter, more moe shows, but they'll call out shows that are good either way. Unfortunately, podcasts are an audio medium, and the two hosts are really poor speakers. They have a very loose control of the English language, constantly messing up verb conjugations, and mispronouncing words. This is exacerbated by the fact that they're constantly reading synopses or other prepared talking points, and they're not very good at reading-to-speaking either. This can be really bothersome if you have any standard whatsoever for speaking. It's really cringeworthy. They do apologize for this, but it's a problem nonetheless. Overall, I go to this cast to get an alternative view on anime shows, because I'm not typically one who is down for moe/loli shows, and I like to understand where that fanbase is coming from. I appreciate the work that they put into preparing, but do wish that some discussions were a little more in-depth, or had more substance to them. I think they're a bit too wary of discussing spoilers. They'll often dance around something that happened, and I have no idea what they were even talking about, even though I watched the show myself. Luckily, they've been doing more spoiler sections at the end of cast lately, and I hope they keep that up.

Great Show For Anime News & Discussion
These guys do a great job of reviewing, discussing, and going over anime news. They're not obnoxious, pervy, and are able to have conversations without an expletive every other sentence. And they have plenty of contagious fun. Check it out!

    Helped Me Get Into Anime
While I grew up watching many anime shows on Toonami, I had a hard time finding shows outside of typical telivision. This podcast not only helps me find great shows watch as well as explains the culteral reason for why anime characters act the way they do compared to those in American shows. Can't suggest this podcast enough for those who are new to anime and for those who have enjoyed the genre for a long time.

    Fantastic Listen
Chris and Andrew not only produce a consistently informative and professional sounding podcast, but they also never shy away from letting their super cheerful and positive attitudes show. They believe in criticizing and offering opinions on anime and other content without trashing the ones they are not fans of, and promote an overall respect and appreciation for all things in the anime spectrum. Listening to Otaku Spirit is like enjoying well-made fun "slice of life" anime. It is a fun and relaxing listen, that will make your day a little happier.

    One Of My Fav Shows
Otaku Spirit is one of my fav anime podcasts. I love that the hosts actually seem to love anime unlike a lot of other podcasts that seem to spend a lot of time bashing shows. Their discussions of anime are always fun and even when the hosts are critical of a show, they're always respectful of others who like it. Their unboxing videos on youtube are a lot of fun too. I highly recommend checking them out if you're just looking for a really fun anime discussion show.

    Great Podcast
Otaku Spirit Animecast is a very enjoyable podcast in general, let alone among animé podcasts. Andrew and Chris have great chemistry together (not always true amongst siblings), and as others have mentioned here, they are infectious with their enthusiasm for all the elements of animé that make this art form unique, including artwork, music, and voice acting, for example. They are like the "Car Talk" of animé; sometimes one will start laughing at something the other said, and I cannot help but crack up as well. Also, these two hosts are not dismissive about types of animé that are simply fun or cute or entertaining, nor of the fans of such. Finally, these podcasts _sound_ very professional: I am not versed in audio production, but these podcasts sound to me to be very clean and crisp with consistent sound levels and bright, clear sound (unlike other podcasts that frequently suffer from poor sound editing or audio control). I really look forward to these podcasts!
