"Casual discussions of casual Magic," says it all. We love playing Magic, and we love talking about it. Topics include draft, sealed, Commander, 100-card Singleton, flavour rulings, custom cards, and cracking open weird old booster packs.

    Good show, but…
It’s a great show- but I’m listening to this podcast for magic content, not an in-depth lore analysis on Warhammer 40K. Like, I get it, Cameron plays 40K. I don’t care about the lore behind commander decks, I care about the decks themselves. I seriously skipped half the “rest of 2022” episode because so much of it was Cameron talking constantly about lore. Please don’t do this next time. I beg.

You guys are the best! Such fun and great content!
Can’t wait for in person Friday Night Magic and in person Canadian Highlander in 2021! Just tell us how much $$ you need to make it happen! 😁 Love everyone on the LRR team!

    Great!
One of my favorite podcasts. Good amount of news, banter, and I enjoy the crack-a-packs when they happen. Looking forward to seeing the group in-person. While this is audio only, it definitely has a different feel. I appreciate the group’s dynamics and the fun that they have with these while not necessarily being about strategy.

5/5 Stars from Start to Finish. Wish they had more episodes on here but they are regularly updating it so the library will become bigger. Highly recommend their nickname episodes.

Let’s talk about proper volume levels
I like these guys. A lot. But for the love of god, please, figure out how to maintain an acceptable volume level. At some points it’s like I’m listening to an ASMR podcast about Magic the Gathering. I can’t listen in my car because of the auditory rollercoaster. Get it together. If you’re going to produce a podcast then please, leave the vocal fry and trailing volume at home.

    It’s about time
Love this pod wish it had been on iTunes sooner. Listened to it on YouTube for long enough. This is so much better.

    Wonderful
Tap tap concede makes my day. It may not be the most strategic discussions, but boy is it entertaining. Lrr never fails to put a smile on my face

Only 7 reviews? What a shame
I'm assuming most people watch the video portion. Or maybe, like me, they're just lazy Anyway, I love this podcast. Like one person hinted at, they MAY be a bit off on the "casual" thing, but I've been listening to this podcast since I started back in Magic and feel like I've gotten a lot better at the game with the ladies and gentlemen of the podcast. I directly attribute me getting better to the info heard on this show. Highly recommended for Magic fans with a sense of humor.

    Casual Magic is Best Magic
If you want gameplay advice, technical play tips, and pro commentary... You're better off listening to Limited Resources. If you want funny, goofy subjects vaguely related to magic and people who play magic for the hell of it, then this is your podcast.

    Self-Defeating
This podcast touts itself as a "casual discussion of casual magic" which is a great concept. However, this is false advertising. Each episode the hosts attempt to assess the power-level of cards from older sets that they are completely unfamiliar with in their "crack-a-pack" segment and stumble over rules interactions and what was famously played in what format and when, etc. The same goes with set reviews which turn into just hyperbolic gawking at each and every card with little or no meaningful discussion. I can't get through an episode of this without repeating the phrases, "that's not true" or "that's not how that works" repeatedly in my head. Stop trying to be something that you are not (Limited Resources) and stick to casual magic. The best episode of this show BY FAR was when Cam, Alex, and Serge talked about their history with the game, why they're casual players, and some of the fun decks they've played in the past. That is the type of show I would expect from a "casual magic" podcast. I see a lot of potential in your show and I would love to listen each week (I am a MTG podcast addict)- see I would not write a somewhat negative review just to be negative. You have a unique niche here and it would be great if you explored it and not just copied the formulas set by other casts who do that kind of thing better.
